Pros: nice views on the Chateau Fort and mountains; nice gardens, free parking, Cons: Old and tired hotel, needs some serious freshening up. Our hotelroom had multiple leakages from ceiling in the bathroom, and we needed to change rooms. Most staff (except one, a friendly man at the bar and a housekeeping lady) were lackluster and showed basic courtesy. We were ordering some coffee at the bar, after having agreed on the room change, and the receptionist said that what we ordered would be on the house. I requested 2 croissants, some butter and jam, and was told by the bar girl: ‘a la limite le beurre mais…’ Somewhat astonished by this miserly comment, as i offered to pay for what i ordered. And this was rated the best hotel in Lourdes… they seriously need competition.

Ok, I would totally give this place 4 or even 5 stars, except the bathroom light is on a motion sensor. Who in the world thought that was a good idea, because it isn't. Every time I moved, the light would come on full blast. Get up in the middle of the night, we are talking stadium brightness lighting. It is so bright, I can see the light through my hand. Then it takes about 5 minutes for the light to go off again (at least until you move). I won't go back to this hotel for this one specific reason. My room had this, the other room in our group did not, so I guess if I could guarantee that my room did not have a motion light, i might be persuaded. The breakfast was good, easy parking, unheated pool, relatively easy walk to the center of town, easy access to the train station.

This hotel is so convenient being right across the road from the train station. I never heard a train when in the hotel. The staff are very friendly and helpful and the breakfast is free and generous. The food in the restaurant was excellent, but the most outstanding part of the stay were the beautiful views out to the mountains. The bathrooms are brand new but the decor in the rest of the hotel is very dated.

I have been staying at this property every year for the last 18 years. I do my pilgrimage to Lourdes every June and have only missed 2 years during Covid. Madam Yolanda is wonderful, she speaks English and always welcomes me so warmly. The hotel is just across from the train station and 15 minute walk to the Grotto. This is the perfect location if you are visiting Lourdes. The rooms are big, comfortable and very clean. The hotel’s Le Parc restaurant is the best restaurant in the entire Pyrenees region! Stay here!
