Holiday Inn Express Nashville W-I40 by IHG

the room was clean enough but it was hard to find someone at the front desk. A fire alarm woke us up twice the first night, the fan kept shutting off making the room really hot. the pool was closed the whole time. We found a centipede looking bug on our wall.

The room was excellent. The staff was great. The secure well-lit parking was most reassuring. The continental breakfast was very nice.

Chose based on its location to our son's house, and the free parking with no resort fees.

The property was clean, safe and quiet. Just didn't like the parking space. Parking space was too small.

My biggest complaint is the parking. Spaces were very small making it hard to get in and out of one's car.

Everything was great other than a burnt mechanical smell in the elevator. All was clean, breakfast was good and staff was friendly.

Hotel staff issued me a room that was already occupied at 11:00 pm. Then when i returned to front desk theyissued me a second room that also turned out to be occupied. Elevator was out so had to drag luggage up stairwell twice to 3rd floor for nothing. I refused room and left. Hotel has denied refund through Expedia. DO NOT PREPAY THROUGH A THIRD PARTY. IT GIVES ALL POWER TO HOTEL TO REJECT REFUND. Hope this saves someone some hassle.

Loved that it has a parking lot and doesn’t charge for parking. Easy to get in and out, very convenient!!

The breakfast was better than expected I really enjoyed the homemade biscuits. The staff was extremely pleasant and welcoming. Karen was full of energy and recommendations. The staff constantly cleaned the property during our entire stay and were accommodating. The a/c worked the entire stay and didn’t auto adjust during the early hours of the morning like most hotels do. The pool was clean and well maintained.

Booked this hotel for two main reasons good breakfast and outdoor pool to lay out and get some sun. Breakfast was ok and pool was green and closed and we booked for two nights because we were so excited to see Nashville. Super bummed. Room was clean bed and pillows not as comfortable as I’m used to with holiday inn but I learned Express is different then Express and suites.

Our room was dirty and gross. We saw good reviews which is why we picked this hotel. The room was musty. There was two dirty towels with curly black hair on them. Stains on the carpet and sheets. The bathroom was gross and had mold and dirt all over the shower and tub.

People were polite. Room was clean. No complaints.

Room smelled of mold and stale wet yuck! Had to keep the air down to keep the smell from getting worse. Froze and had headaches and sore throat each day until getting out of the room

Good for a no-frills place to rest for the night. Room was clean. Breakfast was well stocked and tasty. Desk staff was very friendly.

We stayed 5 nights at this hotel and its location was convenient for us and what we had planned to do in Nashville. The room was comfortable enough but it did have a musty odour and felt damp even though we kept the air conditioner on all the time because it was hot outside. We only asked to have our room cleaned every other day and one day we came back after 5pm and it still was not cleaned but the lovely room cleaners were still busy working away and they tidied up and gave us fresh towels. They work hard and I think they likely need more staff. Although we found the room cleaners very good, the Front Desk staff needs more training. Twice when I called Front Desk no one answered the phone and another time when I called I was put on hold only to hear the man talking to someone about his personal life. The hotel also lost its internet on the Friday night and it was still not working by the Monday morning when we left but we were made aware that a guest had flooded a room and fried the Wifi ( I hope the hotel has that person compensate them). Expedia was excellent and responded to our complaint because we had to pay to use our out of country data. Overall the location is convenient if you have a car to get around in Nashville and it was one of the cheaper hotels in the city.

The hotel is a little older ( ie cracks in the wall) but our room was clean. The bed was a little hard and both my pillows were flat as a pancake. The 7-11 in the next parking lot was super convenient and there was a Walgreens and CVS on the corner. Multiple dining options were easy to walk to our a very short drive away

Bailey at the front desk was extremely helpful! Our room was a bit noisy. The air conditioner made a high-pitched noise, and the bathroom fan was extremely loud. If you turned on the light, the fan came on with it. Also, the ice machine on our floor was broken.

The walls of the room were not insulated enough. All through the night we could hear people talking, walking, kids running. The breakfast is nice though.

The rooms are not bad, the bathrooms can use a few updates

It was just ok. Clean bed. Clean room but the bathtub had been cracked and was poorly repaired. Elevator had a soft spot in the floor I was afraid I would fall through. Air conditioner struggled to keep the room comfortable. Overall it wasn’t awful but when I come back to Nashville in April I don’t think I’ll be staying there.

Great motel for the price. Breakfast was great. The beds are definitely firm if you like that

My only complaint is that the walls are very thing. We had to call the front desk in the middle of the night to have them ask our next door neighbor to turn down her television.

The water barely reached lukewarm in the shower, the fan in the bathroom was so loud it could have woken up people in the deepest sleep in the next room when i went pee in the night, and after check out i was charged ten dollars on my credit card without any explanation, email, or receipt.

I called hotel ahead of time and requested if I can get a baby crib. They confirmed that it is available and will be placed in room. When I reached hotel and asked front desk for the same they didn’t provide me with baby crib and it was very late for me to look for alternative option.

I am very much impressed with this hotel. To start off, the front desk staff was extremely friendly and helpful (I wanted extra cream for my coffee in the room and they happily provided it. The room was clean and the bed was wonderful. They should think about selling those sheets as they were soft and comfortable. The bathroom was clean and the showerhead was fabulous. The breakfast offerings in the morning were more than I have ever seen. Great selection and great hotel.

Our stay was really unacceptable. It started off our first night at midnight to a loud banging on our door. It sounded like someone was trying to break in. We were very frightened. The next morning, our key cards stopped working. We requested new keys and the woman gave us new ones, without verifying our identity. This is very unsafe. To make things worse, our keys stopped working (again), and it turns out we were listed under a different room number. The front desk recognized our room number because she mistakenly booked another guest in it while we were gone. This mistake was not corrected until guests were in our room. This is truly an unacceptable experience and I would expect to be refunded.

The staff was absolutely outstanding, Courtney in particular deserves a commendation for kindly, cheerfully and professionally helping us overcome some little problems (some our shortcomings, some the motel's technology- we weren't the only people who could not get our doors open. She kindly helped us recover some things we had left behind. We send kudos and thanks to her. The beds and bedding were also excellent which enhanced our stay. Thank you.

The room door was terribly squeaky. There weren't always people visible at the front desk. We were double charged for our stay. No one could tell me why there were two extra charges on our account but I had to call and straighten it all out.

Close to hospital and Kroger was walkable.

Good location, clean and great breakfast!

Stayed 2 nights with my family. Front office staff was very welcoming and courteous. Room and facility is very clean. Grocery store is just next door, as well as good restaurants. Just off of I-40, but far enough to hear any highway traffic. Highly recommended.

This hotel offered the best breakfast that I've ever had in similar facility. They had cheese omelets, hot cinnamon rolls, biscuits and gravy, bacon, bagels, pancakes, etc. It was really good. Every afternoon they had fresh cookies at the front desk. We were there because a relative was in critical condition at a nearby hospital and I found these amenities very uplifting.

The overall stay was good. The breakfast meats were over cooked and the biscuits were hard. The trash cans in the lobby should be emptied more frequently. Other than those items stay was fine.
