Los alrededores no son muy bonitos, pero en un paseíto estás en la playa. Tiene pinta de reforma reciente. La habitación estaba muy bien. Cama cómoda, grande, ducha, cómodo. This is a nice property, if with somewhat dated rooms Staff were friendly and efficient with requests. Dining room was great; breakfast service is worth the €13 a day. Bar areas were clean, easily accessible, staff made me feel welcome. Pool was just cool enough to be refreshing on moderate afternoons. Sun deck was semi-private, can’t be seen from the street. Room was clean, quiet, and comfortable. WiFi is good, some slower times but still very reliable. Overall a great value for the price. Also they have a kid friendly area.

What a great base when visiting Alicante. We went as part of a stag party so were sharing a triple room. They had only allocated a double and a single bed but we asked to change to 3 beds and they worked really hard to facilitate that, despite the hotel being very busy. Great staff. Lovely pool area and great value.

Fantastic breakfast buffet. Dirty room- 2 used cotton buds found behind the bidet and a biscuit under the curtains. I kicked that out on to the balcony. Next day room was cleaned and the biscuit had disappeared but the cotton buds hadn’t! Room 404. Be interesting to see if they are still there. Some reception staff were indifferent.

Very busy breakfast buffet but not long to wait to be seated . Excellent choice of food , all freshly prepared . The room was clean and spacious with a large comfy bed and effective aircon. The reception staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful .

Jeg fikk et nytt og veldig pent rom, superior room. Åpen balkong i 9. etasje. Hadde en fantastisk utsikt over sjø og veien opp til borgen. Meget gode solforhold. Rommet var utrolig godt isolert, hørte ikke naboer. Flinke renholdere, som tok rommet mitt når jeg spiste frokost, som jeg ønsket.Har vært på dette hotellet veldig mange ganger, kommer tilbake neste år. Glimrende beliggenhet, nydelig frokost.

We have stayed at the Maya several times now. This last stay was in an older room that was showing its age. The bathtub shower was difficult to get in and out of, and the hot water turned cold then hot again during showers. As well, the toilet filled and refilled noisily all night long during our stay. Our advice would be to insist on a remodeled room. The older ones are passable, but not pleasant. All this said, the hotel is in a very convenient location (to la playa and the tram) and the staff is very accommodating. We will stay here again--but will press for a remodeled room.

Ojämn standard på rummen men de senast renoverade var i utmärkt skick. Bra läge och frukost. På minus sidan var att man var tvungen att ha rumskortet i hela tiden för att hålla A/C igång. Vi hade inget kallvatten i handfatet bara varmvatten.

Due to an early flight we arrived at midday expecting to leave our baggage and go away until check in time which wasn’t until 4pm but as the room was available we were allowed to check in straight away which was really good. The room was spacious and very clean with a covered balcony and sea view. Only down side was the walls were very thin and could hear people in the next room talking and their TV quite loudly. Also service maintenance on the lifts late afternoon on two days with a lot of loud drilling and banging was a bit disturbing. Our TV remote did not work but mentioned at reception as we were going out to dinner and when we got back the issue had been dealt with so we were pleased about the quick response. Overall a really good hotel and the price was very reasonable and even included breakfast of which there was a very varied choice. Would definitely recommend.

This is a very nice hotel. Our room was on the 10th floor, with a partial view of the sea and a great view of the castle. Our room was large, comfortable, and updated. The staff at check in and check out were professional, welcoming, and engaging. The breakfast buffet was fine. We would stay here again, and we'll recommend the hotel to friends visiting Alicante.

Bodde högst upp i ett De-luxrum med balkong mot Postiguet-stranden. Ett bra val med tanke på att rummet var helt nyrenoverat och mycket fräscht. Stort frukostutbud med en stor matsal men som tyvärr är mycket "skramlig" Gott om solstolar vid poolen och övre soldäck. Ett prisvärt hotellval som vi flera gånger återkommit till.

I arrived at the hotel 20 February at 00:15 booked three nights from 20th 23rd February. When I showed the staff my booking they complained that I haven’t booked from 19th and 20th February so I can’t check in before later. Which is fine. But the attitude was unnecessary and not nice that there was no level of seeking understanding that technically it’s impossible for me to book a night in the past when I’m booking on the 20th February. So I was forced to book an extra night outside of hotels.com and directly with the hotel. Not planning to go back.

Hotel is very nice and very convenient. The remodeled rooms (Superior and Premium) are worth the extra money. The front desk staff is excellent—both professional and welcoming. We have stayed at the Maya numerous times and will continue to make it our go-to hotel in Alicante.

We stayed at Hotel Maya, on and off, for a number of nights while our apartment was being remodeled. We were pleased, above all, with the staff at the front desk, who helped to make our checking-in and checking-out as easy and pleasant as possible. Our heartfelt thanks go to them. The Superior rooms at Hotel Maya are comfortable and nice, and the cleaning staff did a wonderful job of making up the rooms when we had back-to-back stays. Hotel Maya is a very nice place to stay in Alicante. It is directly adjacent to the tram station and a short 10 minute walk down to the plaza overlooking the sea--and a short walk from there to the beach.

Overall, I really enjoyed my stay here. Breakfast was varied and plentiful. Something for everyone. Bar food and drink prices were reasonable. Food portions were huge! The menu needs better descriptions of what to expect - it's not clear what comes with fries etc. The whole hotel was very clean. Check in was fine but more information could have been given at check in (or in the room) about the hotel and the area. (Small tip - please don't announce the room number of female travellers as everyone behind me could hear) I was there during the weather warning and the forecasted heavy rain - this meant lots of guests staying in and around the hotel. The bar staff were very rushed and short-staffed. It's a pity the hotel hadn't brought in support and planned for this. The breakfast and bar staff were excellent though - always very helpful and friendly! I had read reviews about poor noise insultation between rooms and I had no problems for 5 of my 6 nights. Unfortunately, an inconsiderate man moved into the room next door on my last night and he was extremely loud. When I asked him to reduce the noise level, he and his female guest (I believe she had another room in the hotel) laughed and got louder and louder. Not the fault of the hotel though. I didn't report it to them as I was leaving the next day. Hopefully no-one else has their stay spoiled by this rude man.

We stayed for 3 nights and our flight was early morning and thankfully we were able to check in as they had a room available. Ruben on reception was so friendly and helpful. Breakfast was lovely not to mention the Cava! All the staff we met were efficient and friendly. Would definitely stay here again.

Great welcome upon check-in. We were early to the hotel but we were pleased to know that our room was ready. Lovely bright, airy, clean and comfortable room. This is the 3rd time I have stayed at the hotel, and it's great. The breakfast is brilliant. Plenty of choice and it's nice and relaxed.

The room was standard, clean. The bed, bedding and linens were ok quality and comfortable. The balcony looks at the back of the Castle, not a great view but ok. The location is not close to anything but the tram. The check-in staff was just plain standoffish, we were standing waiting for our turn, 1 agent was busy and the other wasn’t even caring we were there. After waiting a while realizing he had no plan to engage with us we approached. The look we got from the employee was sort of like if we were there soliciting. Took forever to scan IDs and barely said anything about hours, services, where anything was, wifi password, or anything! Just handed off the keys and went off to look at his screen. He could definitely use a refresher in hospitality or just basic courtesy/manners. On the other hand, the lady that cleaned our room was super nice and obviously very good at her job. The hotel is old and quite dated, it gives the impression it’s made an effort to keep up the maintenance but still it’s not even close. Also there are zero perks in the room, I’d say just basic things like coffee, tea, water boiler, and the mini fridge barely cools, stuff inside looks ancient. It’s a pity the lack of attention to details and mediocre employees spoil the rest of what the hotel has going for it. Overpriced for what you get.

We stayed in a recently remodeled room, which was very nice. The AC, which we needed, was remarkably quiet. The staff at the Maya is nice and professional, but the check-in process is quite slow. We have stayed at the Maya before, and we will stay there again. For the price and the location in Alicante, it is a great hotel option.

Hotel muy conveniente. Cerca de la parada de autobús del aeropuerto. Cerca de la fortaleza de Santa Bárbara y de la playa. Excelente ubicación y al mismo tiempo un lugar aislado más lejos del ajetreo y el bullicio en el centro de la ciudad. Y por cierto, 10 minutos a pie y estás en el centro de Alicante.

Bus transfer from airport literally stopped outside the hotel. 7th floor room recently refurbished which was lovely. Breakfast plentiful and so much to choose from. Everything was in walking distance. Fantastic customer service provided by ‘Noelia’ front desk throughout. Really welcoming and accommodating. We would return.

Our room was clean, tidy, and very comfortable, with a stunning view from the windows. The staff, especially the receptionist, were polite and helpful throughout our stay. Breakfast was delicious and fresh, offering a wide variety of choices. We had a wonderful time at the hotel and will definitely be back.

The rooms were clean and staff were polite. The variety of food on offer for breakfast was also good. One of our party asked for avocado at breakfast to be told it was not available yet it was available on the lunchtime poolside menu which was a little disappointing. It was good to have the convenience of a public bus stop outside the hotel which went into the old town.

El desayuno y la cena muy bien, en la cena te dan la primera bebida, incluso cava. En el desayuno tienes cava también. En ambos bufetes gran variedad de comida. Lástima que no habia comida al mediodía hasta marzo. El unico problema es al ir con mascota, teníamos que hacer turnos para comer al no poder estar sola la mascota en ningún momento (es la política del hotel) pero se puede pedir comida en la habitación; pero no es lo mismo.
