Best Western Hotel Le Guilhem

We stayed at this hotel due to its great city center location. However, this hotel is dated and the overall condition of the hotel is not that great. We liked the nearby underground parking garage location and plenty of restaurants and shopping options.

Hotellet ligger fint til i rolig område. Ikke taxi eller bil til døra, et par kvartal å gå med koffert. Trøbbel med å få wifi til å fungere med en komplisert påloggingsløsning. Air Condition fungerte ikke på flere av rommene. Koselig hotell som gir den typiske franske riviera følelsen. Jeg vil absolutt vurdere dette hotellet igjen ved neste besøk i Montpellier.

Die Lage des Hotels ist schon zentral und idyllisch. Saubere Zimmer und bequeme Betten. Für ein 3 Sterne Hotel in Frankreich sehr zu empfehlen. Lediglich die Angabe, dass Parkplätze vorhanden sind, wird in Frankreich gerne anders interpretiert. Ja, es gibt Parkplätze in der Stadt, aber man kann nicht bis vor das Hotel fahren und das nächste Parkhaus, das wir gefunden haben war 300m entfernt.

Hotel tres bien place en plein centre, a conserve un certain cachet ancien (on ne s’y sent pas dans un hotel standard) et ce avec air conditionne et ascenseur, et un personnel tellement sympa, accueillant et prets a aider. J’ai vraiment apprecie cet endroit, et si il y a quelques details qui montrent un peu d’usure (etat des moquettes, certaines tetes de lit ), la proprete etait impeccable et l’attention aux details du personnel a fait une enorme difference. Une tres belle experience pour visiter le centre ville de Montpellier. Parking public a cote de l’hotel (80m) pour 14euros par jour, tres bonne solution pour un sejour reussi. Merci!

We liked the hotel. It has a great position and the building is very old and interesting. The hotel does need some new carpets in the common areas. The Cathedral which is behind the hotel is so lovely and the bells are a treat, especially at Vespers/Evensong. Also the huge trees are wonderful. We've stayed there a number of times and will stay again.

The staff are lovely and very helpful. The hotel itself is in desperate need of a refurb, and all extremely shabby. The carpets especially on staircase are filthy from traffic and threadbare. Even the towels although clean were practically threadbare. Although well situated, the car park is a public one down the road (a bit of a squeeze) and a good 5 minute walk away. You cannot access the hotel by car. Would not stay here again. Montpellier is a lovely old city

It was in the old town, good. You could not drive to the property. We had to drag the luggage 250 meters.

Having said that, the hotel has clearly seen better days. It is a bit worn out, the carpets are very old and not in good shape, which is a problem if you are allergic. Overall, the hotel was clean, and the cleaning lady was very very nice, but those carpets need a replacement. What I liked: - It's location. It's very walkable. - The view from the room was very nice. - It had a parking nearby, and they give you a very good discount in it. - The staff. What I disliked: - The general state of the hotel: the carpets are terrible and the bed a bit torn out (although I should point out it was clean). - The room was as clean as it could be for the conditions it was on. I say this because I do not wish for the cleaning staff to be blamed for my review, as it was clearly beyond their capacity to fix things. - Breakfast was terrible. Honestly, they shouldn't even offer it, and it was not worth the €12 it costs. On our second day we decided to skip it altogether and go somewhere else (in all fairness the hotel staff didn't charge us for that day, they were super nice about it) Bottom line: If you want a convenient place, this is a good hotel. But if you are a bit allergic, stay away until they change the carpets.

Personnel au top, mais la qualité de la chambre n est pas au rdv. La chambre est médiocre : une chaise déchirée avec assise défoncée, tête de lit noirâtre de saleté (graisseuse), literie médiocre, bureau qui tient a moitié debout, , salle de bain vétuste, sizal au sol pas très clean...poubelle pas vidée

Excellent accueil, propreté impeccable, idéalement situé

The staff was outstanding! All staff memebers were very friendly and kind. The only two things I didn't like about the hotel was (1) There were no slippers of even a complimentary bottle of still water in the room, and (2) the carpet in the hallway and stairway looked like it hadn't been shampoo-cleaned in years. Other than that, my visit was nice thanks to the friendly staff.

Alèse de lit en plastique très désagréable. Je n’ai jamais vu une telle salle de bain dans un hôtel. Limite scandaleux.

Our third stay at this hotel. We love it for the location within easy reach of the centre of Montpellier. The staff are always friendly and helpful. Can't comment on the food as we always eat out (plenty of choice). Only negative would be the carpet on the stairs and hallways is looking a bit tired and dirty, but the rooms are always comfortable and clean.

Hôtel très accueillant et chambre très propre !

One of the best location to stay in. Area is beautiful, rooms are big and quiet. Would definitely recommand to stay and enjoy visiting the city.

We really liked the Best Western Hotel Le Guilhem. Sophie at the front desk is AMAZING! She was so helpful and speaks English really well. She helped us with navigating an issue that we could not figure out ourselves since we don’t understand or speak French. We were so grateful for her kindness! As for the hotel itself, it is an older hotel and looks a little tired but we liked the old quirkiness of it. We stayed in what they called the “chamber room”. It was in the basement and looked like an old cellar. It had a garden terrace that was only accessible from this one room. The terrace garden was overgrown but it was charming. We thought it was a fun room to stay in. We will need to go back to Montpillier next spring and we will probably book the same room again.

L'hotel est très bien situé, on peut tout faire à pied (visites, restaurants, etc...) par contre nous avons été déçu par la literie. Nous sommes des séniors et le lit était très bas et pas confortable du tout. Dommage car tout le reste était parfait.

We arrived tired from Avignon. Only staying in Montpellier to catch an early next day flight following a cancelled TGV out of Avignon. The moment we arrived our mood lifted. The receptionist ( sorry missed your name) was super kind and helpful. Her kindness lifted out mood That plus a delightful hotel room in a fabulous location made our stay memorable We even took up the recommendation to eat in the nearby Balthazar restaurant and enjoyed a super dinner. Thank you

La ubicación es excelente. Los sitios de interés se acceden fácilmente a Pie. El personal extraordinariamente amable y atento.

Lit non fait, chambre banale même pas un robinet thermostatique dans la salle de bain chambre inaccessible avec une valise vous fermez les volets pour vous préserver de la chaleur on vous les rouvre cet hôtel n’est pas conforme à sa note de trois étoiles ni à son tarif

We loved our stay at Hotel Le Guilhem. Such a gem, quaint rooms, fabulous location, lovely view and delightful staff. Ours was a last minute booking and we were so happy. Taking the tram from the train station was almost door to door. Lucas at the front desk was charming and extremely helpful. Our room had everything we needed, water, lovely soap, fluffy towels, etc. there was a lift for our heavy suitcases too! Everything is walkable from the hotel. We only wish we had stayed longer.

Quaint yet modern. Central yet quiet. Love this place. The staff was very helpful too.

Cadre magnifique au cœur de Montpellier

A weekend visit to explore the restaurants and life in Montpellier. Hotel was welcoming and explained all we needed to know. The hotel is in the old town and within about 15 mins walk of anywhere within it. A very good location for the purpose of our visit, it is surrounded by little streets with lovely picturesque squares , all with cafes and restaurants galore .

De ligging van het hotel (midden in de stad) is perfect.

Excellent séjour, Hôtel un peu atypique car réparti dans plusieurs maisons rassemblé. Du coup, c'est un peu le labyrinthe pour aller au petit-déjeuner mais c'est sympa. Chambre très confortable. Nous étions dans une chambre juste à l'entrée d'un sas. Un peu de bruit si les voisins rentre sans faire attention mais sinon aucun bruit. Nous étions vu côté cours. Nous ne pouvons que conseiller cette vue car c'est vraiment jolie et donne sur une cours dégagé et une église. Petit déjeuner copieux et varié : mention spéciale à la dame qui vous fait les oeufs brouillés directement pour vous. Bref, ravi de l'expérience que nous renouvellerons à coup sûr !
