It was mid-heatwave and there is no aircon in the rooms. The hotel is also in a loud area, so trying to sleep with the windows open is not an option unless you can sleep with lots of loud noise. I ended up leaving the hotel after the first night for my sanity. Many better options in the area for similar prices. I should have done more research. I didn't expect a full refund, but I had 5 unused days and a 1 day token refund would have made me feel better about the whole situation. Outside of the lack of aircon and the loud area, the rooms were not clean, the curtain rail came off the wall when I opened the window, etc. It's a budget place, but the hotel I stayed at after was 5% more expensive and 100 times better. Do some more research and find a better hotel in the area!

Great location, friendly & helpful staff, comfortable room, availability to purchase a delicious breakfast—we’d definitely stay here again. The only caveat is that there are a lot of stairs, so it’s more ideal for those who travel light.

Amazing location and good hotel. The only thing is that the hotel is on the third floor without elevator. The rooms are located on the fourth and fifth floor without elevator. For travellers with a lot of baggages or senior citizens. It’s quite unconvient. Other than that, it’s pretty good. The location is amazing. If you travel light or don’t mind stairs. This hotel is great!

Was a pressure to stay here room was clean, good size bathroom, really comfy bed, in a good location, staff where friendly and well coming, there is alot of stairs so if you don't mind that I would recommend the stay, I will be staying here again for sure.

Super Lage direkt am Theater. Zimmer sauber jedoch sehr schlecht belüftbar (Ventilatoren wurden aber gestellt) und spürbar schiefer Boden im Zimmer. Personal nett, zuvorkommend (beim Checkin) und hilfsbereit. Preis für 2 Sterne hoch aber bei der Lage üblich. Achtung. im 2. Stock gelegen ohne Aufzug, Zimmer auf 2 weiteren Etagen ebenfalls ohne Aufzug und im Hotel Treppenhaus sehr eng.

The photos are not accurate. The walk up covers holes and the floors are very uneven. I have video and photos of a dirty shower and floors in our room. The handout for WiFi info is a list of hopeful log ins. I told the receptionist we wanted to checkout due to these issues and Expedia called directly to the hotel. When trying to contact the owner, Mr. Sterckx, as I was told, relayed through the receptionist that there would be no refund for the 2 remaining days. He promised a call to me directly which didn’t happen. I understand the no cancellation rule but not providing clean and safe environments isn’t a fair deal.

Clean room and very friendly and helpful staff. The rooms were a good size for French hotel rooms and very clean, but it is an older hotel so some of it seemed like it was probably due for a refresh. There are a lot of stairs, so not The hotel for you if that is a proble. However, the location was perfect for exploring the city on foot, and the staff was extremely helpful.

Great location and overall a pleasant stay. The hotel is centrally located yet quiet, just a short walk from the Old Town and public transport. The room was spacious, very clean, and had a beautiful view of the Lyon theater. There is no elevator, and guests must climb a few flights of stairs to reach the lobby and rooms — something to keep in mind if you have mobility issues or heavy luggage. Although there is no air conditioning, a fan and portable cooling unit were provided and worked well. The receptionist, Marcia, was highly professional, kind, and always helpful — she truly added a positive touch to the experience. I mentioned in advance that I was visiting for my birthday, but there was no welcome note or birthday gesture, which would have been a nice touch. Still, the hotel offers great value for money, and I would consider staying again.

Schönes kleines Boutique-Hotel, freundliche Mitarbeiter und tolle Lage direkt auf der Presqu‘Île gelegen, so dass man sehr vieles zu Fuss erreichen kann. Sehr schön die Zimmer direkt mit Blick auf den Platz und das wunderschöne Theater.

This hotel is in a very good and central location . Everything is easily walkable and the staff are friendly . The breakfast is fine and they make the best of what they have ( it is clean and tidy ). The hotel itself is basic and would benefit from some investment … as some other reviews have mentioned - there are around 40 stairs to climb and no lift to get to reception are. The biggest problem I would highlight was the noise .. it is a shared building and I think some of the other areas are apartments . People talking very loudly both late and night and early morning hours was very annoying- I do not know if the noise was caused by other residents or people who lived in apartments but the hotel could do to resolve the issues of either guest behaviour or carrying noise from adjoining property. The staff were good and I did not raise this as an issue with them .. some investment in upgrading the facilities should be the priority.

Great location and very helpful and friendly staff. The rooms were clean and comfortable but the hotel is a little older so it has some character. There were two flights of stairs to get up to the reception desk, so if you have mobility issues this would be challenging. Overall we very much enjoyed our stay.

I chose the hotel for its location, but found it quite lovely. Carmen, the day concierge, was friendly and informative. We came to Lyon with no agenda, and she gave us numerous options for things to do and places to eat. The room was spacious and had a beautiful view. Be aware that the room sizes vary greatly, so choose wisely. Also, bring your own toiletries. They provide a 3 in 1 “shampoo” that left my hair so gross I literally had a dream about it after using it once. The hotel is entirely walk up, so if you have mobility issues or can’t carry luggage up stairs, this may not be a good option. I feel like this seems like a bad review, but it’s not. I would absolutely stay here again, just feel people need advance warning about a few things that didn’t bother me, but would be deal breakers for others.

The room was light, clean, and a decent size. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The area the hotel was located was convenient to shops and dining. However, not having an elevator made it very difficult to get our luggage to our room. Also, having to walk a couple of floors up to the reception area was not ideal, and not having a receptionist at the desk was not helpful during the later evening hours. Other than the inconvenience of having to climb a lot of steps, the hotel itself was nice.

However, not having an elevator made it very difficult to get our luggage to our room. Also, having to walk a couple of floors up to the reception area was not ideal, and not having a receptionist at the desk was not helpful during the later evening hours. Other than the inconvenience of having to climb a lot of steps, the hotel itself was nice.

Was a pressure to stay here room was clean, good size bathroom, really comfy bed, in a good location, staff where friendly and well coming, there is alot of stairs so if you don't mind that I would recommend the stay, I will be staying here again for sure.

Convenient for Lyon city centre, everywhere is walkable and bars/restaurants are within 5 minutes walk. The only thing to let it down is the lack of a lift which for us, personally, wasn't an issue, but it could be for anyone with restricted mobility.

The room was spacious, very clean, and had a beautiful view of the Lyon theater. The property was in a great location with a beaitiful courtyard right outside the window and is near the center of town making it easy to get around. The staff was also incredibly helpful and easy to talk too. The building itself is on the older side (which is to be expected) and could get a little bit noisy at night since it's right next to the theatre but it's not super bad and was mostly just distant conversations. Overall it was a great spot and I woukd definently stay here again.

Very centrally located, close to the bridges which take you to Old Lyon but only five minutes walk away from the main shopping areas. Rue de Savoie feels like a back street but the hotel itself is clean, has a nice feel and is excellently priced. The staff were great and spoke really good English and the breakfast was nice, simple but affordable and situated next to the reception area. As an affordable option which offers private facilities it couldn't really be beat.

Sentralt og rimelig hotell. Enkel standard og total mangel på luksus. Spiste frokost sammen med venner, og fikk da advarsel fordi vi snakket for høyt. Det viste seg at det bodde gjester på rom så lå vegg i vegg med frokostrommet. Utrolig dårlig lydisolert, så her var det ikke rom for noe latter under frokosten. Hadde et fint opphold, men kommer ikke til å bo på dette hotellet om jeg skal tilbake til Lyon.

3 gece konakladık. Güleryüzle karşılayıp çok ilgilendiler. Asansör maalesef yoktu merdivenler de dar olduğu için biraz iniş çıkışlar özellikle valizle zor oluyor. Otelin de biraz bakıma ihtiyacı bulunuyor. Kahvaltı ise sadece kuruvasan, ekmek ve reçelden oluşuyor. Tuzlu bir şeyler de arıyor insan :) odamız her gün temizlendi ve toplandı. Otelin konumu Bellecour Meydanı ve Vieux Lyon eski şehir bölgesine çok yakın. Seyahatimiz boyunca havaalanı transferi dışında her yere yürüyerek ulaşım sağladık. Genel anlamda gayet memnun kaldık. Otel personeline teşekkürler.

We were offered plates to eat off when we asked but ordinarily breakfast is eaten off the white paper table cover which although it does get changed, we found as odd. It has a slightly shabby feel but we still feel the price was good value for us and we would stay again.

NIce clean hotel. Really great location. Definitely suited our needs for one night. Please know that the rooms are on the 3rd and 4th floor and there is not elevator. Public parking was very close. Breakfast was a little weak but we enjoyed our stay.

The room was neither clean nor similar to what was seen in the photos. There was a significant amount of dust under the bed. The bed was also much smaller than in the photos, with a thin, very uncomfortable mattress. None of the rooms seem to have a plaza view, only the reception area. NOT WORTH THE PRICE.
