Schönes, altes Hotel mitten in der gamla stan, nur wegen uralter steiler Wendeltreppe zu den Zimmern nix für Personen mit Gehbehinderung. Für Menschen gut, die ursprüngliche Altbauzimmer mögen und über kleine Altbauschäden und schiefe Treppen angesichts der großartigen Gesamtatmosphäre, sehr freundlichem Personal und sehr guter Gesamtausstattung der Zimmer hinwegsehen können.

I had a couple of nights in the hotel by myself and it was a wonderful stay. Everything I needed with little care touches (earplugs, although I didn’t need them) a character-FULL old house in a wonderful setting. Would stay again in a shot. Maybe not great for people with heavy luggage and/or bad knees as no lift.

This accommodation deserves a 10 pm everything! Great staff! Great location! Spotless room, bathroom, dining room. Great breakfast. Everything is within reach and walkable. This is a charming old building in Gamla Stan (Old Town) just keep in mind, there’s no elevator.

Mycket trevligt och charmigt boende med kanonläge mitt i Gamla Stan. Vi uppskattade vårt stora rum med härligt trägolv (som lutade rejält som sig bör i ett gammalt hus :) ) och att det var personligt inrett. Att tänka på är att trappen upp till de översta rummen är både smal o brant. Frukosten var bra och serverades i ett lika mysigt och charmigt rum på nedersta våningen.

I would refer to this more as a bed and breakfast rather than a hotel because there are only a few rooms and no real lobby/front desk. If you need to reach someone after 1 pm, you must do so by phone. Upon arrival you will be given a code for the door and your room key will be outside of your room. Rooms are all accessed via a very narrow spiral staircase; there is no elevator. If you foresee steps being an issue, request the second floor. This all worked out fine for us, but if you are expecting a full-service hotel, you may be surprised. Breakfast was served each morning, and fruit and snacks were available throughout the day. The room was very spacious with a decent sized bathroom (which looked recently updated). We loved the warmth of the room and the character of the surrounding neighborhood, which has plenty of lovely shops and restaurants. Gamla Stan is a great launching spot to see much of central Stockholm as well. We visited at the end of April, which isn't quite the busy season yet, so we truly enjoyed being able to walk into any restaurant or museum without any lines.

We had a lovely stay just before Christmas. The hotel has so much character and the staff were absolutely lovely and very helpful. The only downside was the very steep and uneven stairs up to our room on the fourth floor. We were all slightly terrified by them to begin with, and I think they could have presented a real challenge for older people, or younger children. Other than that, a great stay and one that we'll definitely remember forever!

Excellent location in Old Town. Wonderful ambiance. Great breakfast. Very close to good restaurants and the waterfront. One caveat: the stairs are quite steep and challenging moving large luggage. Light travelers will have no problems. Highly recommend!

The staff was very pleasant and the room was very spacious. The location was spot on. The only thing was that the blind in the living room where I was sleeping was broken so the light from the sky was constantly shining through the window making it hard to sleep. Other than that, it was a great stay.

Would absolutely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Stockholm. Great location, charming and historic building, and friendly staff. The only thing I wish I had known before booking is that Ubers/Taxis cannot pull up to the hotel, so there is a bit of a walk. Not the hotel’s fault, just good to know beforehand. Thank you so much!

This is a very historic and charming hotel in the heart of the old city. I would refer to this more as a bed and breakfast rather than a hotel because there are only a few rooms and no real lobby/front desk. If you need to reach someone after 1 pm, you must do so by phone. Upon arrival you will be given a code for the door and your room key will be outside of your room. Rooms are all accessed via a very narrow spiral staircase; there is no elevator. If you foresee steps being an issue, request the second floor. This all worked out fine for us, but if you are expecting a full-service hotel, you may be surprised. Breakfast was served each morning, and fruit and snacks were available throughout the day. The room was very spacious with a decent sized bathroom (which looked recently updated). We loved the warmth of the room and the character of the surrounding neighborhood, which has plenty of lovely shops and restaurants. Gamla Stan is a great launching spot to see much of central Stockholm as well. We visited at the end of April, which isn't quite the busy season yet, so we truly enjoyed being able to walk into any restaurant or museum without any lines.

This was the coziest most unique hotel of our 10 day trip. The staff was so welcoming and the breakfast and fika was the best breakfast we had. The personal touch of everything being homemade was so special. The tips for catching the ferry and things to do was also appreciated. I would recommend this hotel for anyone planning to stay in Stockholm or Gamla Stan. Thank you!

Quaint old building with all the querks that come with that. Cosy rooms friendly staff and locatiin couldn't be better. Downside narrow circular stairs with oversized luggage a challenge no elevator. Would highly recommend

This hotel is in an historic building which includes a spiral staircase and slightly irregularly shaped rooms and bathrooms. But the service was attentive, continental breakfast satisfying and location spectacular! It was an easy walk, tram or bus ride to everything you’ll want to see in and around Stockholm.

Would absolutely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Stockholm. Great location, charming and historic building, and friendly staff. The only thing I wish I had known before booking is that Ubers/Taxis cannot pull up to the hotel, so there is a bit of a walk. Not the hotel’s fault, just good to know beforehand. Thank you so much!

Excellent location in Old Town. Wonderful ambiance. Great breakfast. Very close to good restaurants and the waterfront. One caveat: the stairs are quite steep and challenging moving large luggage. Light travelers will have no problems. Highly recommend!

Men: - inte jättehög standard, det är juste och har karaktär men lite enklare standard. - inte bemannat när man kommer, kan vara lite bökigt att hitta. - frukosten öppnar först kl 08, så är man på affärsresa är det troligen för sent. - det är väldigt lyhört både utifrån och från grannen ovanpå - jag fick inget kvitto, trodde det skulle komma elektroniskt och ingen frågade när jag checkade ut - inte så tillgängligt om du har rörelsenedsättning och lite läskigt om du har en synnedsättning, men det följer med att det är ett gammalt hus, inte mycket de kan göra åt det.
