Very good stay, was there on business but got full use of the restaurant, bar, gym and pool. The restaurant was spot on with delicious fresh food. The gym is a good size but was busy, but it was 6pm. The pool is perfect and has a full selection of stream room and sauna. The room itself was a great size and full of all the amenities needed including free of charge bottled water. The bed was very comfortable and I haven't slept so well in a hotel in a long time. Breakfast had a good selection but maybe the quality of produce was lacking compared to the evening selection.

Good location, good facilities all round but the parking had issues with the ticket being validated took 3 times to try and validate in the end staff opened the barrier for me. Could be a better system as I was late for my venue that day.

The rooms are large and the hotel is well located, easy parking, however for a fee. Nice facilities with pool and fitness facilities. Breakfast was great. We tried to arrange early breakfast on departure and this was accepted with some limitations. However, at the day of departure there was an unwillingness from the staff to provide it even though we have paid. An alternative solution with food box or similar would have been a great and convenient solution instead.

I did not like that access to the underground parking required making a telephone call in order to be admitted after dark. It does not feel safe. There should be a buzzer system in place. This would definitely be a deal breaker for me in the future.

The underground parking is a nightmare, spaces way too close together and to be charged to park on top of the room fee is not great. Got upgraded to a river view suite, the room was nice, clean. The balcony is enclosed but is still open to elements, not heated or anything and this was the only area where housekeeping could improve as it was covered in cobwebs, but as it was pretty much unusable it didn’t matter really. The bar restaurant was ok, although service was slow, the staff were friendly. Breakfast was really nice and staff did really well as it was very busy. A very short walk into the city. I would stay again,

The hotel hit all of the high notes with our large, comfortable room with a nice view over the area. The swimming pool and gym were excellent and convenient. We enjoyed a tasty dinner in the restaurant and the breakfast buffet was pretty good.

I booked this property as it was listed as a higher end hotel. The sheet and pillow had a black mark. The first night they had a private party and the music was so loud! It went until 2 am. I was Very disappointed as I flew in from her United States and was so tired. I asked for another room but they said they were all booked.

Very disappointed with our stay here. The entire hallway on the fourth floor smelled like cigarette smoke and our room did as well. Hotel staff was responsive and apologetic and moved us one room over. The smell of smoke was slightly less in the second room. Overall cleanliness was not great. The location is perfect and we appreciate the staff trying to make adjustments.

Another amazing stay at this wonderful hotel, staff as always friendly and helpful. Lovely location overlooking the city and easy parking on site. There was a wedding on when we stayed so the noise from the function suite and drunk guest coming and going in the hallway all night was annoying. Our room was adjoined to the room next door and thankfully we noted quickly that neither door was locked, quickly fixed by the housekeeping team but a bit of an oversight.

A bit dated property. Very small shower with the shower head to loose to hold its position. The shower doors often coming out of its railings. Air conditioning not working. WiFi internet extremely slow 4-7Mbps so nearly unusable. Curtains a bit broken, unable to get the room dark. Probably won’t stay here again. However, some of the staff (not the managers or supervisors, but lower rank employees) were very friendly and helpful!

Probably our favorite stay in Ireland. Limerick was a delightful city to visit and Limerick Strand Hotel was a huge part of our enjoyable stay. Easy parking underneath the hotel, early check in offered at no additional cost and friendly hotel staff. Narayan was our server both nights we dined at the hotel restaurant and he was amazing! We are still amazed at how he was able to manage the entire floor seeminglt by himself.

Antonio who checked us in was friendly and extremely nice. Made great suggestions on things to do and see. The building is nice and the rooms were clean and spacious.It located in a great area which was walkable to stores and restaurants. Car park is located right next to hotel with a discount rate to use car park. The restaurant staff unfortunately wasn’t as friendly when we stopped in for drinks and appetizers we were treated as if we were an inconvenience. The person seating people asked if we had a reservation which seemed odd to me as the place wasn’t busy at all. Once we informed them we were staying at the hotel we were offered a table. The service was not great it took us asking for water three different times to actually receive it. Out of all the places we ate through out our travels in Ireland this had the worst service. We still left a small tip even though it’s not required as we’re from a country that’s use to tipping.

Although the other side of the River Shannon to the city it was only a short walk across the bridge. Unlike some other city hotels there not only was parking available under the hotel, but at the time we were there more than ample parking, albeit at a not insignificant cost. Our room was spacious, well decorated, well equipped, comfortable and quiet. The inclusive buffet breakfast was very good and we also had a meal one night in the hotel which was good too. A very smart hotel in a lovely city.

Lovely stay at the Limerick Strand. The room was huge! The bed was very comfortable. It would be ideal for working from, as there is a large desk. There is is a desk infront of a mirror for doing makeup, too - does not always happen in hotels! Huge selection at the breakfast buffet - only one small change there - better sausages :) Added bonus - the pool, sauna and jacuzzi! Would definitley stay there again if in Limerick!

It was excellent. Friendly staff, special thanks to Sophie at the front desk who gave us so much advice on where to go and how to get there. The whole hotel was very clean, Award-winning breakfast and Darragh kept the buffet running smoothly.Really liked that nothing was disposable. We had a lovely quiet room, with a shower and a separate bath.Only issue was we arrived on foot from the bus station and there’s no ramp at the front, just steps, the ramp is at the back close to the drop off. Great views of the river.

This was a great stay and the hotel staff checked us in early. The staff was extremely friendly! We booked the king bed and the room was impressively large with all the comforts you’d expect. One thing to note is that hotels.com tried overcharging for breakfast so if you are looking to book at the Strand just get the breakfast voucher at the hotel so you save some money. As for the breakfast, the spread was amazing and the food was delicious. Overall this was a great stay with a great location.

Food at the restaurant was much worse than any meals we’ve had in Ireland. Skip the restaurant and get food in the city Centre. The Expedia vip benefits are only good for food which was a bummer. Hotel is clean and close to city centre and walkable from Limerick Colbert station.

Now, THIS is a hotel. Unlike my last stay (at the Moxie in downtown NYC) the Strand does not skimp on the amenities. The room was spacious and fully equipped, the bed comfortable, the service excellent. The location across the river is both extremely close to the heart of Limerick while not being stuck in the middle of it. I would not recommend eating at The River (the in-hotel restaurant) though. My meals were mediocre at best. But that's my only quibble.

Our only meal on property was breakfast. We were sat down and after 15 mins after I flagged down a waiter who took our order then after another 10 mins my wife’s eggs came but nothing for me so I helped myself to the Buffett but we never once again saw a waiter Or waitress at our table during the entire breakfast
