Beautiful location! Right across the road from the beach. Great walking trails. There is also an attached restaurant so you can get food. This is an older hotel, however it looked to be in good condition. Our room had been redone and was nice but the bed wasn't the greatest mattress. Check In and Out was smooth with a nice friendly woman. I would definitely stay there again because of the beautiful water views/trails.

Great pub with lots of locals and a good pint at a fare price. Food was good for lunch and dinner but the breakfast at $16 euros was just okay. Visit Jordan in the Pub great service. They are renovating the rooms on floor two so if you like to sleep in ask for another floor.

Perfect location right outside of Dublin no question about it. We’d stay here again. It’s a tad bit on the old-skool side but its kept up. it’s perfect location right across from the sea , 20 minutes from downtown Dublin. Perfect location if you wanna stay in a hotel that’s in a laid-back area take a little trip to the north go visit the castle the harbors the little towns you won’t be disappointed . They have a pub and restaurant on location. The pub is a place that the locals go to to enjoy their evening. The food was top-notch service was top-notch all the employees that we ran into were polite and wonderful. I can’t say enough good things about this hotel.. Down side:the walls between the rooms are a tad bit thin so you can hear your neighbors having a fun adult time when they got back from the pub, kudos to the Mr. The Mrs seemed be be real happy. the king beds are split beds so the crack down the middle could be a tad bit uncomfortable if u roll into it. all in all we very much Enjoy this hotel and would go back again for the price there’s no way we could beat it. I know our neighbors enjoyed themselves as well. Cheers! We’ll see you again.

Overall the hotel is old and tired. The toilet in my room had not been cleaned at all prior to my arrival, and was absolutely filthy. When i notified the very nice receptionist she assigned another room and was very apologetic. The second room had a clean toilet and a nice sea view, but was generally below par. There were 3 lamps in the room, the bulb was blown in the one beside the bed and the other two had dirty and cracked lampshades. The carpet was badly stained. The TV remote was so dirty I held it in a tissue. The TV itself was small, there were very few channels and the signal was so poor it was unwatchable. (Not a smart TV so no Netflix option). The bed linen seemed clean but surfaces in the room were dusty, so it felt generally unpleasant. We had dinner and breakfast in the hotel, the dinner menu was limited but food was good. The breakfast server was absolutely excellent, I'm sorry I didn't get his name as he deserves a special mention. However, no amount of good staff make up for dirty bedrooms, so I wont be returning. If it was clean and a little bit more up-to-date it would be a lovely place to stay.

Very dated room. Bathroom was stained. Mould on the wall behind the curtains. Windows didn’t close properly. Looks like the property is being renovated, but even the newer areas had water damage on the walls. The staff were pleasant and friendly. Didn’t check out the bar or restaurant but there is a lovely Thai takeaway next door.

Bathroom covered in black mold. Toilet doesnt flush. You can tell they don't update or maintain this hotel. Everything is out of date. The bathroom seems like an after thought. Getting in and out of the shower is super unsafe. Not worth the price at all.

We had a wonderful Autumnal two night getaway at The White Sands Hotel. There are four bay window rooms at the front of the hotel and we were fortunate to stay in one of them. The view of the ocean directly across the road is such a treat. I read some reviews before booking and can now give our own experience. The reception area is bright, modern and welcoming. Our room was spotlessly clean with fresh linen and towels. The bed was really comfortable. Yes the bathroom was not modern and the fixtures and fittings are worn but it was perfectly functional with lots of hot water and amazing water pressure in the shower. The staff were all pleasant, friendly and helpful. The food in the restaurant was delicious. The location is amazing. Hotel prices were so expensive when we were searching, this was definitely the best value for money in the greater Dublin area. We previously stayed here four years ago, we thoroughly enjoyed being back and would definitely stay again. If a luxury bath is your favourite part of a hotel break this may not be for you but for us The White Sands Hotel ticked all the boxes. It was so lovely to park the car, have the beach on our doorstep, take leisurely walks before dining and not have to drive anywhere! We gather the rooms at the rear of the hotel are more modern but we didn't see them. The hotel is on a road and from our room at the front you do hear some traffic noise. This didn't bother us. The rooms seemed newly refurbished, except for one bed, which made noises when sat on, or turning over. Nice bedding and plenty of pillows.The TV system was minimal (not connected to internet so couldn't use smart TV features or apps). The room was spotless, as was the bathroom. The tub/shower combination could use some wall installed hand holds for those of us that are older and stiffer to increase safety. Rain showerhead was nice. Good hot water flow. We didn't avail of the restaurant or bar.

No air conditioning so left window open. So noisy I had to close window and cook so didn’t sleep. Also so noisy in the hallways until nearly 3 am had to turn bathroom fan on to try to drown out the noise. Tough last night in Ireland.

Nice one night stay at the White Sands, looks a little tired from the outside but rooms and bar area really nice. Unfortunately the welcome was not very warm, we did arrive early so thought we would see if the rooms were ready, but the receptionist looked at us as if we had committed some atrocity. All staff we encountered later were very warm and friendly, but first impressions matter.

Lovely staff, good atmosphere in the bar restaurant in the evening, beautiful beach across the road and the shower was great, refurb is ongoing but everything was clean. Bus outside on the right to take you into Malahide for the evening. Just good. Will be back.

Lovely staff, good atmosphere in the bar restaurant in the evening, beautiful beach across the road and the shower was great, refurb is ongoing but everything was clean. Bus outside on the right to take you into Malahide for the evening. Just good. Will be back.

Beautiful location! Right across the road from the beach. Great walking trails. There is also an attached restaurant so you can get food. This is an older hotel, however it looked to be in good condition. Our room had been redone and was nice but the bed wasn't the greatest mattress. Check In and Out was smooth with a nice friendly woman. I would definitely stay there again because of the beautiful water views/trails.

We had a wonderful Autumnal two night getaway at The White Sands Hotel. There are four bay window rooms at the front of the hotel and we were fortunate to stay in one of them. The view of the ocean directly across the road is such a treat. I read some reviews before booking and can now give our own experience. The reception area is bright, modern and welcoming. Our room was spotlessly clean with fresh linen and towels. The bed was really comfortable. Yes the bathroom was not modern and the fixtures and fittings are worn but it was perfectly functional with lots of hot water and amazing water pressure in the shower. The staff were all pleasant, friendly and helpful. The food in the restaurant was delicious. The location is amazing. Hotel prices were so expensive when we were searching, this was definitely the best value for money in the greater Dublin area. We previously stayed here four years ago, we thoroughly enjoyed being back and would definitely stay again. If a luxury bath is your favourite part of a hotel break this may not be for you but for us The White Sands Hotel ticked all the boxes. It was so lovely to park the car, have the beach on our doorstep, take leisurely walks before dining and not have to drive anywhere! We gather the rooms at the rear of the hotel are more modern but we didn't see them. The hotel is on a road and from our room at the front you do hear some traffic noise. This didn't bother us. Perfect location right outside of Dublin no question about it. We’d stay here again. It’s a tad bit on the old-skool side but its kept up. it’s perfect location right across from the sea , 20 minutes from downtown Dublin. Perfect location if you wanna stay in a hotel that’s in a laid-back area take a little trip to the north go visit the castle the harbors the little towns you won’t be disappointed . They have a pub and restaurant on location. The pub is a place that the locals go to to enjoy their evening. The food was top-notch service was top-notch all the employees that we ran into were polite and wonderful. I can’t say enough good things about this hotel.. Down side:the walls between the rooms are a tad bit thin so you can hear your neighbors having a fun adult time when they got back from the pub, kudos to the Mr. The Mrs seemed be be real happy. the king beds are split beds so the crack down the middle could be a tad bit uncomfortable if u roll into it. all in all we very much Enjoy this hotel and would go back again for the price there’s no way we could beat it. I know our neighbors enjoyed themselves as well. Cheers! We’ll see you again.

Very comfortable bed.Only one tiny complaint. The toilet is jammed right up against the bathroom radiator so its difficult to sit on it properly as the radiator digs into your left leg. Other than that its perfect.

Excellent staff who answered all questions, made recommendations, a d showed us the bus system. Rooms could have more ammenities like a microwave or minifridge. Bathrooms in rooms were awesome. The bar/restraunt attatched to the hotel is a great way to meet locals and get more information about the area. Very budget friendly and overall an amazing experience.

Overpriced for what the quality was. Was convenient area for the airport. Rooms were run down and bathroom was not super clean. Had a restaurant but priced for high for what was offered. Plus side was it’s open until the evening which most in the area are not.

Great pub with lots of locals and a good pint at a fare price. Food was good for lunch and dinner but the breakfast at $16 euros was just okay. Visit Jordan in the Pub great service. They are renovating the rooms on floor two so if you like to sleep in ask for another floor.

The hotel location was perfect as we were heading out in Malahide. There is a great bus service running just outside the hotel. The hotel bar and restaurant have. Good food and lovely atmosphere. The hotel is a bit dated but the cleanliness is great and staff are lovely and really helpful. Definitely coming back
