It’s was quite modern only reason it wasn’t a 5 star visit as the gym was pretty small and there wasn’t a pool or a smart tv just little something to kill sometime when you’re back at the hotel for a few hours

Lovely relaxing weekend, enjoyed a meal in the restaurant and the atmosphere was very relaxed and enjoyable .

Easy to get to from the airport bus route, the hotel is convenient, clean, really well presented and has its own lovely coffee shop. The room was immaculate and really nicely decorated. We walked to many tourist spots and also used the bus/tram stops which are just round the corner.

Loved my stay at the academy plaza. With the location just off O'Connell street it's super central and walking distance to a lot of thing. The hotel room was lovely and the star very friendly and helpful. Only thing I would request is better ventilation in the gym, but it did have a good selection of equipment if that's what you're looking for.

Small room but very comfortable and clean. Good location for sightseeing in Dublin. No parking at the hotel, but there is a safe undercover parking lot very close nearby and the hotel validates your ticket so you get a discount for the parking. Went to the onsite restaurant twice and enjoyed the food both times.

It wasnt super quiet but thats anywhere downtown Dublin. Expect it. The hotel was nice and kept up, the staff were excellent and helpful. Laundry services turned out to be needed and ut was easy and convenient. There was a place to drop off and parking was nearby.

This is a nice hotel in a pretty busy area. There was a good spot to unload the car. there is a car garage across the street that is pretty expensive but safe and convenient. The staff were all friendly and the restaurant on site was nice for us as we were pretty exhausted by the end of the trip. It was not a bad drive to the airport in the morning either

Room was very small Workout room junky and old No parking at the hotel and an extra charge in an off the property location. No amenities such as ponchos for the rain

It was easy to get to and I like that it had a cafe on the property.

Die Unterkunft ist sehr zentral gelegen. Bis in die Innenstadt sind es 5-10 Minuten. Der Service ist sehr freundlich. Da wir leider nicht dran gedacht haben, dass wir in Irland einen Reiseadapter für die Steckdosen benötigen, war es umso erfreulicher, dass es im Zimmer an fast jeder Steckdose einen USB-A und USB-C Ladeport gab. Zwar sind das keine Schnelllader. Fürs Auflanden über Nacht reicht es jedoch alle Male. Im Restaurant ist sowohl Frühstück, Mitta als auch Abendessen möglich. Wir waren einmal zum Abendessen dort und es war das, was man von einem Hotelrestaurant erwartet. Gut und dem Preis angemessen, aber nicht überragend. Auch hier war der Service gut. Ebenfalls gibt es eine Bar mit großer Auswahl. Die Preise sind Dublin entsprechend deutlich höher, als das, was man so kennt. Zum Abschluss noch ein paar negative Punkte: 1. In der Dusche befand sich an den Silikonfugen Schimmel. Nicht viel und unseren Erachtens nichts worüber man sich Sorgen machen müsste, aber es soll erwähnt werden. 2. Es ist keine Klobürste vorhanden gewesen. 3. Das Zimmer ging zum Innenhof, wo sich auch die Lüftungsanlage des Hotels befindet. Diese war trotz geschlossenem Fenster nachts ein wenig zu hören. Nicht viel, aber lärmempfindliche Menschen stören sich sicherlich daran. Auch die Zimmer-Klimaanlage war im eingeschalteten Zustand deutlich wahrnehmbar. 4. Nachts ist es möglich laute Hotelgäste auf den Flur zu hören. All in all aber ein tolles Hotel. Wir würden wieder dort buchen.

Room was clean and fairly spacious but the lobby and bar area reeked of smoke. Overall pretty outdated. Not to much to do right in that area but for a quick stop it was fine. The staff at check in were very friendly and helpful. Bartenders seemed to be having a tough time. I would recommend this hotel if you’re only going there to sleep and then leave but if you’re there more than a single night or are basing your stay in Dublin here I definitely would choose somewhere else

Room was nice & clean. Bring your shampoo and conditioner as there was only body soap. Breakfast was okay - but we did not like the coffee. However, there was a nice coffee bar at the entrance.

Very much enjoyed this property, excellent location, friendly staff. The room overall was clean but the floor of the room wasn't, other than that, very happy.

Zentral gelegen und somit super für einen Städtetrip. Das Zimmer war allerdings sehr dunkel und eng. Zusätzlich nicht richtig sauber. Zum schlafen für zwei Nächte war es okay.

Good location for seeing the things we had on our list. Rooms small, but that is expected. AC sometimes turned itself off, so we just had to keep checking it/turning back on when we returned to room

Excellent location in Dublin. Wonderful hotel. Rooms are a tad small which isn’t a problem if all you are using it for is a place to sleep. Felt a bit claustrophobic when I got up during the night to use the bathroom.

We stayed at this property for 6 nights while touring Ireland. First and foremost, the room air conditioning did not work well. We had someone come to the room to check it, but they said it was functioning fine. It was so warm in the room that I spent much of the night sweating and awake. Opening the window did nothing as we were first floor and had about 10 feet of space to the next building. The hotel was sold out with no option to change rooms. Secondly, the Wi-Fi was also not good. It repeatedly dropped d the connection 20-30 times per night for everyone in the room. The location was not bad with plenty of restaurants and shops. I would not recommend this location if you can find somewhere else to stay.

The air conditioning wasn’t cooling well. With having to have your card in the slot for the lights and things, it was hard to keep it cool. Very small room with too much furniture. The hotel advertises laundry facilities under family friendly as well as offering laundry service. It only offered laundry service, however. The staff, however was the best!!! Helpful beyond the call of duty.

Loved the area. So accessible and convenient to walk everywhere we wanted to go. Our room was extremely small, moreso than expected but aside from that we loved this place.

I checked in to find that I had two separate reservations at this hotel. The hotel canceled one of the reservations, but refused for refund the payment for that room. I paid over 1300 Euros for a 2-night stay. Staff cited hotel policy but I find it extremely hard to believe that refunding one of the reservations would have been a hardship for the hotel. Room was extremely small (we had to move a large chair to the bathroom just to make some room). Hotel housekeeping ignored the DO NOT DISTURB tag on our door and entered without knocking while we were sleeping. Location is in a central part of Dublin, but edging a street that I wouldn't walk at night. Never again. I will pay more to stay at more accommodating hotels on future visits to Dublin

Staff very helpful. They reserved airport transportation for us.

Room itself was fine but the shower door had been hung the wrong way around (assumed just have been recently repaired) meaning it was impossible to get into the shower (I’m not a large person - I think even the leanest person would have struggled). The room (606) also backed on to a rear of the building where a very loud nightclub/ bar operates until at least 2/3am on a Saturday night. I reported the shower issue and the staff were very courteous and grateful for the feedback - no offer of any compensation at all though for what was an expensive (€160-ish) room.

Overall a good experience, the booking in took far to long as a dissatisfied customer took up to four staff members to deal with her complaints, to the detriment of others trying to book in.

They do not accommodate emergency trip cancelations. Wanted to cancel a month before with all the evidence why. Had to pay all the trip. There is always a way to give refunds, partially, or credit. Very roude.

Very good hotel, close to the main street, but very quiet, thank you to all reception staff (Ashleigh, Sean, Tammy and Estefania) for making my visit great, well recommended:)

Lady from the very start of our stay was nice and really made staying in a city we never been to very easy. The breakfast buffet had all of the options. The front desk answered all of our questuins we needed answered. 5 star.

I had a flight that more than half way thru to Dublin, had to be turned around & grounded overnight elsewhere, & so I missed out on the 1st of 2 nights at this hotel. For something that is completely not my fault or my control this hotel didn’t approve a refund for me to Expedia !!!!!

This hotel is my go-to place when I first arrive in Dublin on my visits. Transportation to and from the airport is SO easy (Aircoach), breakfast is excellent, and I can walk anywhere.

Room was comfortable, as we arrived early morning, we were able to leave our bags in a secure room. Hotel is located on a side street off O'Connell Street, where there are a several eating places and shopping. A short walk will take you to the bridges across the Liffey to visit Trinity College, St Patrick's Cathedral, Dublin Castle, Temple Bar, etc. Close to local buses, etc. 20-30 minutes to the airport by taxi.

Super zentral, sehr sauber, außerordentlich freundliches Personal. Nur der Weg zum Hotel im Dunkeln und die lauten Unterhaltungen draußen haben etwas gestört.

Excellent location in the City Centre, close to all the action within a 15-20 minute walk. Absolutely perfect stay in Dublin!

Location was close to transit and main travel areas of Dublin. Unfortunately the neighborhood was quite rough , dirty and very very loud at night . Someone yelled outside of our window every night till 4 am. Rooms were incredibly cramped, beds were uncomfortable and the shower was so small you could barely move in it. The hotel staff were friendly and we enjoyed the little cafe

Spacious room but lacked storage. Lived out of a suitcase. Bathroom was tiny but water pressure was great in shower. Only body wash provided. If windows opened then it was loud due to street cleaning, garbage pick up early mornings. Closed windows and no outside noise. Area a little sketchy but a few minute walk and you are on a main street and close to taxi, tram, busses etc. Good value. Great staff.

Hotel was located 1/2 block off of busy O'Connell (Upper) so was close to many restaurants, the Tourist Info office, and several tourist bus services. The main attractions along the River Liffey are within walking distance.

Modern hotel in the heart of Dublin. The only thing I would mark down on was the temperature of some of the breakfast items(bacon, eggs). But selection was great. We will stay again.

One thing that immediately stands out about Academy Plaza Hotel is the location. It’s easy to walk everywhere from the property. We had a bus tour outside Dublin and our meeting point was literally 4 minutes walking distance from the hotel. Another aspect that stands out and it was a huge surprise is the breakfast. They serve a great variety of options for all tastes. On top of that, it costs around 14 euros. However, if the guest buys the breakfast the day before on the front desk they will pay 12.50 euros. In any coffee shop around, 12.50 euros wouldn’t pay for more than one cup of coffee and one pastry. Trust me. Another highlight for me was the staff. The front desk team was spot on in all the information they provided and the restaurant team was impeccable. I would definitely stay there again if I had a chance.

Only down fall breakfast was only warm as it’s out most of the morning under hot plate all other was very good excellent
