Wonderful place to stay. The biggest issue we had was having to change elevators going to 3 getting off and going to another elevator and going to D and reversing the process to get back to the lobby. It would be at least a little easier if guests were given a printed copy of directions when checking in. We weren't the only guests that were getting lost. It was frustrating.

Combines all the charm of a hotel from a bygone age with all modern conveniences. Well situated with friendly, welcoming staff and the room was spacious and comfortable. Could only have been improved if the hotel still had its own carpark, but there is convenient parking at reasonable rates within a couple of minutes’ walk. One minor quibble is that sometimes the service can be a bit slow in the bar, but it is only a very minor quibble at best.

This is a mixed bag of a review because fundamentally it's a good hotel. I booked this hotel having recently stayed in the sister hotel in NYC. The good - well appointed good standard hotel, possibly above average. The reception area and rooms ate very good and the breakfast was really nice indeed. The bad - my room was in a new build part of the hotel, which meant a walk, an elevator, another walk and another elevator and then the final walk to the room. Itself not a disaster but the entire route had laundry carts, trolleys and rubbish dotted along, a really not welcome experience for customers. The room was clean and new if completely devoid of character but the bathroom could have been cleaner. There was a good idea water decanter to avoid unnecessary plastic waste but nobody seems to realise the sink isn't deep enough to put your decanter under the tap.! Pointless The terrible - I made these points at reception on way out but they cared little and just nodded so I'd go away. That little lack of interest is why I'm writing on here, normally I'd not bother.

The hotel has been refurbished in a great way: the carpets are very clever tiles. The staff, with a Spanish preference are attentitive and polite. As a cheaper alternative to the Shelborne, this is an excellent choice: the hotel is large enough to relax in and central enough to hop on the aircoach 700 which stops outside the hotel. The food is excellent, if you want to have the traditional irish breakfast,sure, but the healther options are first rate. Tip: the hotel says 0700-0800 are relatively empty for breakfast, not so as the US tourists are enbussed by 0800 and need to be stoked up with food. so quieter breakfast 0800-0900. Much recommended for business, there are peaceful areas to work, and conference, and the broadband speed is excellent. Use this hotel to impress your customers!

The only issue I have with this property is the parking. Once you figure it out it is fine, but trying to check in to the hotel and not have any clue how to park and exactly where was very frustrating.

Parking was very difficult. We booked two rooms. Staff could understand why and move are rooms to two very different locations. One room was very nice, clean, with a good view. Other room appeared to possibly be quarters for staff. It wasn’t very clean with visible dirt and spider webs in the corners of the room. The view was of a dingy alley with an ugly fence. It appeared to be the service alley to transport towels and sheets for cleaning. Restaurant was nice. Breakfast was good.

We were quite disappointed in the location of our room, it was in a very dark location of the hotel with limited daylight that we looked out onto a concrete wall. The hallways are very loud, you hear every door slam and voices in your room. The location of the hotel is less to be desired with a homeless population frequent directly outside of the hotel doors.

The room was okay but we paid for a deluxe room and it wasn't as expected. The hotel room corridors are not carpeted so anyone walking by makes it noisy. The housekeeping staff trolleys arrive at 7am do don't bother trying to sleep any later than that.

The lobby is gorgeous the rooms and floors are dark with an odd vinyl tile and very basic, especially compared to the lobby, bar and restaurant. Despite being more inland all we heard was seagulls who were nesting and hanging out on the roof top building next to ours. The staff was helpful and friendly. The rooms are very very basic

Great location for bus pick-up for daily tour, and hop on hop off busses. Easy and quick check in. Very good buffet breakfast with lots of selections. Not enough proper electrical outlets in room, especially no outlet for the hairdryer in the bathroom.

Wonderful hotel. The staff were exceptionally pleasant and helpful. I needed more than the usual assistance as I used a mobility scooter. They happily brought out the ramp each time, anticipating my needs. Will stay here again my next visit to Dublin.

My booking was made 10 months in advance for four twin rooms, on arrival all rooms had double beds with one pull down bed made up in one room. When I raised a complaint I was offered a complimentary breakfast for our last morning which we already had in our booking. I told the manager we had paid £160 for breakfast on our arrival day and asked for that to be reimbursed but he said this wasn’t possible??? He then offered complimentary drinks which I accepted but when we redeemed this later that evening we were offered only four drinks!! The hotel itself is excellent but our stay was not what we had expected due to the poor attitude from staff to a problem created by the hotel

Breakfast excellent. Staff excellent,especially reception staff ie Yaria . Brilliant with helping me navigate the internet. comfort excellent. I return here multiple times a year , nowhere better. Maybe the bar prices are too high, which leads us to go elsewhere.

No subtitles on the TV despite saying they were on. Constant humming noise all night . Impossible to sleep. This was NOT air conditioning as I never turn it on, but something intrinsic in the hotel compounded by poor sound insulation so much noise from O'Connell Street. Worst of all appalling treatment in the bar. Shambolic service from the youngest waiter with no training and poor English. He twice disappeared while supposed to be filling my order. Then I was overcharged and noone would take responsibility. One waiter told me I am a mechanical engineer I don't want to be a waiter. Not my problem. Train your staff, employ English speakers. Differentiate barmen and waiters to stop shambolic free for all. A disgrace to the name Gresham. Never again. Holiday Inn next door superior on all counts.

Had a wonderful stay. They surprised us with some cupcakes when we mentioned it was our anniversary, which was amazing. Only one issue: the room service has no vegetarian or vegan options, barring some desserts. Couldn't even order chips/fries. Otherwise a perfect stay.

Hotel was good, clean, modern room. It’s the Food and Beverage that is a problem. Sat for 25 minutes on my own in the restaurant first night after being shown to a table, then someone came up and asked me to move. Not to take an order or give a menu, move. Breakfast is aggressively cleared, as in the server is reaching over you to take a cup while you are eating. You stand up to get a coffee - table cleared. Asked for a non dairy butter, was told no, it’s Kerrygold in Ireland. But they have a gluten free table! Breakfast choice was good, and fresh, the f&b service is not good tho. Pub next door got my dinner business both nights and their food was lovely.

Room was clean, fridge was warm and our room suffered a power cut. Staff were very good on first night, but on second night Saturday, very poor service from bar staff, i had to approach the bar twice to get a drink, when staff attended they never returned for another order. Kids promised popcorn and received nothing.
