Lots of parking. Outdoor hottub was small but nice. Very comfortable and spacious room.

Super clean, great gym!

Room was spotless. Staff were pleasant. Pool and jacuzzi really nice. Great location in Galway city. Bar and lounge areas very nice. Bar food served in adjacent restaurant was ok. Breakfast was really good.

We really enjoyed our stay here. It was super convenient to the train, bus station and downtown. The restaurant was good and the decor was clean and modern. The only thing that would be better is if the pool was open later. Unfortunately, since it closed early in the evening, we never got to use it to unwind at night. We would definitely recommend a stay here.

Pool could use some cleaning by the steps.

The Galmont offers everything a traveler could wish for. Clean, friendly, good location, and a fitness center that even includes sauna and steam room!

Small glass leaves bathroom soaked, sprayer nozzle spins all over spraying bathroom, raised tub makes shower very short and no fan leaves it a steamy mess. AC barley works and thats not ideal in summer. Also 15 minute walk to anything with homeless and bis and train station out front. Amenties like hot tub and pool close at 9. Be nice to be open later to enjoy after a long day in the city.

Was a perfect place for a little R&R. I utilized the jacuzzi and the gym, both great.

Mold. Everywhere. Unacceptable. Paying nearly €400/night and having BLACK MOLD lining the air conditioning vent is absolutely abhorrent. Front desk staff was very kind and that’s all I can say in terms of “pros”. Minor complaints: restaurant/dining does not open until 1pm. Bar staff took nearly 5-9 minutes each time we were there to acknowledge us. Fully hope the hotel decides to reach out to discuss some form of a refund due to the conditions in our room.

the cleanness wasn't as accepted to be. there where spider webs inside the room which weren't cleaned even after we asked for. the room in general wasn't very clean. the facilites at the room didn't work properly.

The housekeeping was not great. A bath mat was dirty upon our arrival and the towels were not laundered well (visible marks) on the next day.

The hotel itself is beautiful and in such a convenient, walkable area. The staff was extremely nice and our room was cleaned with new water bottles and towels left every day.

The Positive - Staff is friendly, lobby is beautiful and there is plenty of underground parking at the hotel. The Negative - Our room was seriously out dated. Stained carpets and chair, bathroom was moldy. At checkout when asked how our stay was I said that I was disappointed with the room. The clerk was very nice, said that they are in the process of updating room and all had been updated with the exception of level 4, which is the floor we were on. It's a rather large hotel, so it's frustrating that they wouldn't have put us in an updated room. If booking a stay here, make sure you ask to be in room that has already been renovated.

Overpriced for what it is. The balcony door was broken and would not lock, and air and noise could filter in from the top. Despite mentioning it upon checking in, it was never fixed during our 2 nights there. Size of room and views were nice, but balcony had pigeon droppings and cigarette butts. The bathroom tiles under the shower were rusted and the toilet kept running after flushing and required multiple pushes for it to stop. It just had a feeling of not being maintained or cleaned. The location is very convenient for walking to the main attraction area of Galway and it does have an underground garage, which is convenient, and for which you get a discounted rate. The buffet breakfast is not worth it--there are many good coffee shops within walking distance.

everything was great except the AC made terrible noises

The property was OK. It was very noisy. The shower was horrible. It took me a long time to figure out how to work and then continued to blast water in my face and all over the bathroom. The toilet ran all night long

Breakfast was average. Train noise and shower noise a little annoying.

Spacious, clean room with air conditioning in a convenient location. Had a beautiful view of the water. Ice machines & filtered water filling stations next to the elevators, though the ice machine on my floor wasn't working so I had to go one floor down. Small refrigerator in the room. Paid parking available. Staff was very friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay there again.

We enjoyed our stay at the hotel. We had a 5th floor executive room with a balcony which wasn’t cheap but was very spacious with a sitting area and balcony with a view. The bed was large and comfortable. We had breakfast in the room twice which arrived on time and as ordered for a delivery charge of €12.50. The third day we went down for the breakfast buffet which provided a good choice and although ending at 10.30 am people were still arriving about that time and getting seated. The hotel is fairly modern and was in good condition. There is a nice bar area and all the staff were very pleasant and helpful. We didn’t use the Spa facilities and so can’t comment on that. The hotel is an ideal location for walking into town Eyre Square and Qyay Street are only about 10-15 minutes walk where there are numerous pubs and restaurants to choose from. It was also only about 10-15 minutes subject to traffic to get to the races in a taxi. We hired a car and were charged €40 for 3 nights parking which sadly seems to be the norm these days! The only issue we had was our toilet getting running on the second day and then wouldn’t flush but maintenance sorted it out after a couple of requests. Overall though a very pleasant stay and if returning to Galway and the Races which we would as the place is buzzing I would definitely stay at the Galmont again.

We were very happy with our stay at the Galmont. The front desk personnel are wonderful—smart, helpful, and friendly. Our room was great—spacious & modern. The WiFi was strong. There were plenty of plugs for charging devices. There was an in room safe. The only thing our room lacked was drawers (Our friends’ room did have drawers.) The breakfast was excellent. The hotel is well located, near downtown without being on a loud street. We would definitely recommend the Galmont and would stay there on any future visits.

The bathtub shower is a bit outdated. The atomsphere was okay. However, we were extremely disappointed with the service in the Coopers Restaurant. The waiting times for starters, main dinner and bill was unacceptable.

It was my mother’s birthday and as a special treat they upgraded us and also left a few yummy treats in the room for us on a plate with Happy Birthday on it. It’s little thing like this that make a memorable stay! Thank you

The staff was so accommodating. When checking in they gave us two drink tickets when we told them we just got engaged. Really appreciate the hospitality.

Beautiful hotel. hotel was quiet which was great for a good night sleep. Room was clean and Beds were comfy. breakfast was brilliant. Huge Variety available to suit everyone. booked for 3 people and for a steep price of 272 euro for one night and my thoughts overall are quite disappointing. Photos of the room were obviously mis leading (1 double, 1 single in photo) as only 2 single beds in the room when we arrived. 2 bottles of water, 2 dressing gowns. 2 of everything. Room not prepared for 3. Roll out bed arrived after a quick call to reception. One dressing gown was stained in makeup so unable to use. Vending machine empty on our floor so had to go to the shop for more water. Decided to dine out in city centre and take the car. Upon arrival back to hotel, car park was full and we got stuck waiting at the barrier for some time. Went to the bar for a drink and to relax and couldn’t find anyone to serve us a cocktail. We were told “there was an event happening and all bar staff were busy trying to accommodate the guests who were present at the event” Had to settle for a more “simple” drink that was “quick” to prepare. This Was probably the most disappointing thing of all during our stay. That service is absolutely unacceptable no matter how much someone pays for a room. Left the bar after the 1 drink and called it a night. Although a beautiful looking hotel with a scenic view of the lake, The cons do out weigh the pros and I definitely would not be returning again.

This was part of our 25th anniversary trip. The air conditioning was broken and we tried for two days to get help only to return to our room with a note that said do not touch air conditioning. The bar staff was rude - while standing in line for to order a drink we ask for help and were told that it was not their job to serve customers. There was a wedding there and at 3 am people were on the patio blasting music that was coming through our window because we had to have it open due to the lack of air conditioning. We called the front desk for help several times and no one answered.Such a disappointing start to a special trip.

This was our third time staying here, we love Galway and find the hotel to be in an ideal location, nice food, very comfortable rooms and the leisure centre is brilliant. A highlight is the outdoor jacuzzi! One problem we had was that on both nights, the service was very slow and haphazard during our dinner. Servers were forgetting orders, main courses taking ages to come etc. On the second night we didn’t bother having any dessert due to the long waits between courses. We thought it was just a case of bad luck where we were sitting, as on the first night we were seated around the corner in a quiet area of the bar, and understandably we were easy to miss. However, on the second night we were in a more “obvious” spot, and still found it very slow. It certainly won’t deter us from staying again, but might be something worth thinking about for how the restaurant staff are organised and trained.

2 night stay. Sea view king on 2nd floor. Lobby bar and breakfast are good. The bed was good. We had an old room that hadn’t been serviced in some time. Short on towels, soap, shampoo, coffee. They also didn’t clean the room when we were out. The thermostat broke in middle of night. The elevator also broke. They lost the key to the breakfast room Saturday morning and couldn’t unlock the door so they had to admit everyone through a back kitchen door. Who is managing this place?

Really nice hotel. Big room and bathroom for the price! Very close to the bus station if you plan to use a bus to visit Dublin, airport, or elsewhere.

The main thing I liked about this hotel was its proximity to Eyre square, numerous pubs, and attractions. The only complaint was the water pressure in the shower was weak

This is a well appointed hotel very close to the city centre. We liked the walkability to shops and bars downtown. Beds were large and comfortable. Rooms were clean.

The location can’t be beat—it’s right on the water, quiet, steps from the train station and a short walk from town. The staff were super helpful and the room was spacious and clean. If you don’t need a big breakfast, there’s a lovely cafe down the street with amazing coffee, hot chocolate and pastries.

This hotel was conveniently located in Galway, with easy walking access to everything the town has to offer. It's not in the main shopping/dining area, so it's a bit quieter, but it's still easy to walk to from the train station. Beds were comfortable, rooms were clean, and the staff were accommodating.

Superb hotel in great location - not right in busy main square, but close to all the action - a 5 minute walk. The food was quite good. Lovely views from executive rooms. Strongly recommend this hotel while in Galway if you want an upscale, relaxing stay.

Booked for 3 people and was given a room with two single beds. No apology for error. Drinks order forgotten in restaurant for dinner. No mention of tray service charge when ordering a sandwich from room service. On hold 20 mins before could order room service. No parking available in hotel car park. Booked deep tissue massages and neother of them were deep tissue.

Close walking distance to Galway downtown and the port to go to the Aaran Islands The main dinning area opposit the bar is great but the food could be much better

It was a perfect fit for our family. We got two rooms. One for my husband & I and one for our two adult sons. Great parking garage ($12/day very reasonable). Great breakfast ($15/person, delicious & very worth the price). Lovely hotel. Would recommend 100%.

The halls were very dark, average room, needs a face lift. Price for value wasn’t there. Breakfast items were lukewarm. Food was average at best.
