If you are needing parking the parking facility next door that they claim is a “separate entity” is a nightmare. Not only is it an extremely tight parkade to manoeuvre in it also has terrible access to the hotel if you have luggage. Prepare to be carting your luggage up and down flights of stairs in order to get to your room. And hotel not very accommodating when you express concern about this. Location is great if you are not arriving with a vehicle. There is no where to pull up in front to unload luggage prior to parking either.

Parking in a garage next to the hotel, may be difficult to park if you are driving a large SUV. Excellent hotel and front desk staff. Would recommend. Lots of activities within walking distance.

Tightest parking garage ever! They were doing some flooring work which closed down 1 elevator from time to time. The staff at the desk was clueless, however, the room staff on the floors were great. Food was good (breakfast buffet) and the location is perfect!

We really enjoyed our stay at the Leonardo. The location is fantastic. Buffet breakfast was great and plentiful. The restaurant was good for a meal or drink. Our room was quiet and spacious enough. The refresh of the rooms each day could have been more thorough, for example, forgetting to empty bins and not vacuuming the floors. Otherwise it was great and we would stay again and recommend to family and friends.

Rooms are nice, newly refurbished but cleanliness can be improved. Towels were provided but out of 5 towels,all 4 were stained with yellow patches. Carpets in the room needed to be hoovered.

Location can’t be beat. Lobby area and smell was nice. Front desk staff were friendly and helpful. Upstairs corridors were dark and had a stale smell. Our room windows would not open and the room was stuffy and the fan had to be run to keep the air circulating. There were several bits of plastic wrap and tissue on the carpet in the corridors which never got cleaned up throughout my stay. Glass window panels on the fire doors were dirty and smudged. Housekeeping definitely needs more attention at this hotel!

The hotel is a great location and the staff were incredibly professional and helpful. In addition, this was the only hotel while staying in Ireland that had air conditioning! I wish the room would have been a little bigger. I would give it 4.7 stars

Rooms are modern and clean but very small (and tight) with no AC so you have to open the window. The parking next door is a joke unless you are riding a motorcycle. The lot is not built for cars. They don't have any bottled water in your room even though you're paying top dollar. They won't let you charge water bottle purchase to your room which is silly. Front desk people are kind and helpful but limited by company policy.

Beds were comfortable, great blackout curtains, and view of the river from our room made for a nice stay. Room was a little on the small side (but that seems to be typical in Ireland hotels), especially with 2 beds. Bathroom was nice and spacious. Our only real complaint about the room is that the shower "door" only goes halfway and led to water spillage; they need bigger glass panel or, better, a sliding door for shower. The location is quite excellent, right off the main street, next to the river, and just about 6-8 blocks from the main train station (and Eyre Park). The hallways seemed a bit worn, but not too bad. Lobby is on the small side for such a large property, but they have a bar/restaurant (which even has a vegan option, great for me). Staff were friendly and efficient. I would recommend staying here.

Staff was friendly. Nice location. But very loud. They placed us in a room right next to the lobby on the first floor. Constant banging of the public bathroom door. Constant noise. Stuffy room and uncomfortably hard bed.

Loved the convenient location. But: The room and bathroom were very tight in space especially at that price point. Our shower drain was clogged and the maintenance man wasn’t able to fix it so the it filled up with water with each shower. The comforters were extremely hot and when I asked for two lighter ones I was told there were none so I asked for two too sheets and slept with the windows opened as the AC always turned off. Overall we didn’t have a great stay at the Leonardo Galway.

EXCELLENT hotel in the heart of town, walkable to all attractions and next to many pubs, restaurants and shops!!! The property is very nice and the front desk staff is amazing, everyone is very friendly, professional and accommodating, they make you feel very welcome!!! Front desk people like Silvia, Julia and Nikki make you feel very special!!! Also hotel staff like Fernanda (very nice, professional and attentive) makes all the difference!!! Had an amazing stay and would definitely be back next time I am visiting Galway!!! 💚🇮🇪☘️

So this was my second time to Galway and this hotel was amazing. There are so many things to say. First the staff was fantastic. Una greeted us when we came in and she went above and beyond to ensure that we had a great time. She was super helpf with things to do and restaurant suggestions. The hotel just went through a renovation and they did a great job. The location is amazing as you are steps from the Latin Quarter. Make sure that you prepay for the breakfast buffet as its great. The bar located in the hotel is also amazing. We met Kims there and the young man does a great job. We would definitely stay here again.

Very convenient property-well maintained and perfect for our Galway trip. We did not have a car and the location was so convenient. Breakfast was not free, but a great option especially if purchased the day prior for a lesser fee. The pub/restaurant offered a great selection as well. The staff was so nice and accommodating.

First of all pictures give the impression it is waterfront. It is not. Waterfront is a few blocks away. We booked our double room over a month in advance of stay. We got there and they put us in handicap assistance room on first floor facing busiest street in the city. Room was also just adjacent to the lobby. To say it was loud and hard to sleep was an understatement, Front desk staff was rude and had no interest in helping. We are not handicapped but if you are do not stay at this hotel. They put you in the worse room in the entire hotel.

The hotel is in an excellent location, which makes access to the entire downtown area easily accessible on foot. Many dining options, pubs, and shopping were minutes from the front door. The staff was polite, honestly caring, and extremely helpful. I would stay there again!

Una on front desk very friendly and helpful, great location to pubs and tourist area. Bed and pillows were too hard for my preference but nice clean room. Buffet breakfast was well priced and good selection. Bar and kitchen staff/food/drinks were good. Overall nice hotel in great location, but pricey but I guess it’s because of location

The Leonardo was a great place to stay, so convenient to shops, pubs, sightseeing…the only negative was an evening meal in the restaurant/bar, the food was over seasoned and over cooked-worst meal we had in Ireland. We would stay at the Leonardo again but only have the breakfast.
