Perfect location next to the "Christkindlmarkt" and the inner city. Good restaurants nearby and round about 300m walk to the lake. Well equipped and clean rooms. Spa area unfortunately is very slippery (even with bath shoes). Drink water supply in Spa could be better organized.

Sehr gemütlich, perfekt für einige Tage Auszeit, Wegbeschreibung innerhalb des Schlosses gewöhnungsbedürftig....Richtung Wellnessbereich....dieser ist aber sehr schön und gemütlich. Frühstück hervorragend und Personal sehr freundlich.

Das Ambiente des Schlosses war großartig und das Personal sehr nett. Alles war sauber und die Zimmer sehr geräumig. Kostenlose Parkplätze direkt hinterm Schloss. Ein Raum für die Fahrräder in der Tiefgarage. Und der Marktplatz direkt vor der Tür. Mondsee 10 Minuten zu Fuß. Was will man mehr.

Zimmer sind sehr geräumig und sauber. Für ein Schloss ist eine angenehme Temperatur. Personal sehr hilfsbereit, freundlich und zuvorkommend. Der Spa Bereich wunderschön. Es gibt 2 Saunen, einen Pool, Infrarot Kabine, Infrarot Liegen sowie einen sehr schönen Ruheraum. Es gibt auch die Möglichkeit Massagen zu buchen. Diese kann ich wärmstens empfehlen. Das Frühstück spielt alle Stücke. Eine sehr große Auswahl. Wir werden wieder kommen!

Sauberes und gepflegtes Hotel. Wir waren mit dem Aufenthalt insgesamt sehr zufrieden. 2 kleinere Punkte hätten wir allerdings. Die Parkgebühr für das Parkhaus mit 15€ pro Nacht etwas überzogen. Kennen wir aus anderen Hotels in weitaus frequentierterer Lage, dass es auch anders geht. Das Frühstück ist Top - etwas mehr Abwechslung würde da aber nicht schaden. Ansonsten bleibt zusagen, dass es ein wundervoll, restauriertes Schlosshotel im Herzen von Mondsee ist. Wir werden wieder vorbeischauen :)

Das Schlosshotel ist ein beeindruckendes Bauwerk mit wunderschöner Umgebung. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und der Service dort ist ausgezeichnet. Die Zimmer sind geräumig und überwiegend geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Teilweise ist Mobiliar leider leicht "abgewohnt", was wahrscheinlich der hohen Gästefrequenz geschuldet ist. Für Allergiker sollten die Ausströmer der Klimaanlage häufiger gereinigt werden, da sich dort eine dicke Staubschicht gesammelt hatte.

Das erste Zimmer war etwas muffig, aber wir durften in ein saniertes Zimmer wechseln (nett), insgesamt zu teuer (2 Nächte mit Frühstück und dem Parken in der Garage 478,- Euro, mehr als eine halbe Monatsmiete in meiner Wiener Wohnung), Hotel Gasthaus war für mich nicht fein genug. Das Schloss ist historisch, gut saniert mit einem schönen Innenhof. Das Personal ist freundlich.

The room was very nice, we felt like we were in a palace. We stayed for 2 nights. Although we hung a card, it was not cleaned. Apart from that, everything was very nice. The breakfast was also very nice and delicious. The girls at the reception were very friendly and helpful. Most importantly, the bed and pillows were very uncomfortable.

Great Castle Hotel with nice courtyard and amazing breakfast buffet. Helpful staff. We stayed in a nice large suite with 2 stories, one for each bedroom and bathroom and kids absolutely loved it Not too many dining options late in the evening so need to drive out of Mondsee for that but otherwise decent restaurants just minutes away.

Had a few issues surrounding check in. Staff doesn’t greet when you walk past them. A few of them flat out miserable. The room opposite mine was a laundry room the door of which was always left open. It was noisy and smelly. Breakfast isn’t t managed very well and again with staff that doesn’t smile or greet you. Highly over rated hotel which perhaps only Austrians would like.

The room was very nice, we felt like we were in a palace. We stayed for 2 nights. Although we hung a card, it was not cleaned. Apart from that, everything was very nice. The breakfast was also very nice and delicious. The girls at the reception were very friendly and helpful. Most importantly, the bed and pillows were very uncomfortable.

Extraordinary hotel, like staying in a 18 century palace with modern conveniences. Building originally built as monastery in the 8 century. Beautiful lake town, but the hotel alone is worth the trip. All hotel staff were wonderful. Highly recommended.

Zimmer sind sehr geräumig und sauber. Für ein Schloss ist eine angenehme Temperatur. Personal sehr hilfsbereit, freundlich und zuvorkommend. Der Spa Bereich wunderschön. Es gibt 2 Saunen, einen Pool, Infrarot Kabine, Infrarot Liegen sowie einen sehr schönen Ruheraum. Es gibt auch die Möglichkeit Massagen zu buchen. Diese kann ich wärmstens empfehlen. Das Frühstück spielt alle Stücke. Eine sehr große Auswahl. Wir werden wieder kommen!

We stayed in a nice large suite with 2 stories, one for each bedroom and bathroom and kids absolutely loved it Not too many dining options late in the evening so need to drive out of Mondsee for that but otherwise decent restaurants just minutes away.

Had a few issues surrounding check in. Staff doesn’t greet when you walk past them. A few of them flat out miserable. The room opposite mine was a laundry room the door of which was always left open. It was noisy and smelly. Breakfast isn’t t managed very well and again with staff that doesn’t smile or greet you. Highly over rated hotel which perhaps only Austrians would like.

We recently had our second stay at this hotel and once again, it did not disappoint. It is truly an unbeatable hotel located in the heart of Mondsee and just a stone's throw away from the picturesque Lake Mondsee. There are no queen or king beds. Only double which they push together to make larger beds. They provided a topper after we asked for our 2 singles to make a larger bed. This is a large well established hotel/restaurant/spa located very close to Mondsee lake. Great location for visiting several lakes and quaint lake villages in the area. Lots to do from here including 30 min drive to Salzburg. Lots of history here but building is well maintained and rooms are comfortable. Spa is very nice. Restaurants are good especially the breakfast buffet. Also highly recommend the Riesnerhof restaurant nearby. We would stay again.
