Hôtel A Stretta

Fabulous hotel, super-friendly staff, clean and spacious rooms (ours was sea/harbour facing), lovely clean and modern bathroom (super shower!) as well as an amazing breakfast buffet and parking around the back. The hotel is located right in the centre of Propriano directly by the harbour. There are plenty of bars and restaurants within a few steps of the hotel as well as the usual touristy shops. The beach is about a 5min walk away. On a Wednesday night (when we stayed) the road outside the hotel is closed to traffic from 6pm for a street market with arts and crafts, some food and music etc - added bonus for our stay. Our room at the hotel was sea-facing with a lovely, covered hence shady balcony. Both room and bathroom are spacious and very clean, the bed is big and comfy. There’s a minibar (at a cost) with water, beer, cola and some snacks. Fridge is big enough to store some of your own food/drink. There’s a complimentary bottle of water in the room and also a nespresso machine with some pods. Breakfast buffet is very varied with juices and all kinds of hot drinks, cereal, fruit, yoghurt, bread, cold meat and cheese, sweet spreads, pastries and some delicious cakes (I recommend the châtaigne cake!) - omelettes, bacon, eggs etc are freshly cooked to order. All of it delicious! I can thoroughly recommend this hotel and if I’m lucky enough to get to Propriano again I would love to stay here again!
