Hotel was great and perfectly located for our needs on our vacation. Very clean and got a regular series of texts to make certain our stay was a great one. Breakfast was yummy with choice of two spaces to eat. Only two issues: DirecTV was apparently working on something two of our nights there and the tv kept loosing its "source" but would come back up again after a few tries. The other issue was that the pool was COLD - felt unheated! Too cold to go swimming in which was unfortunate as the pool was one reason we had booked the hotel. Would stay there again, however.

The room was elegant, spacious and well equipped (kitchen appliances). Very comfortable beds, including the sofa bed. free guest laundry, inner pool, 24 hr Gym. Very good breakfast. Walk distance of a big shopping mall and public transportation.

We stayed at 6 hotels on our family road trip, and this was our favorite. It is very conveniently located, basically in the parking lot of Crossgates mall, so plenty of options for entertainment and dining. It was connected with another hotel, and you could enjoy the breakfast of either, which was great! It had a nice lounge in the lobby area with a free pool table and games. Everything looked new and the staff was great.

Meh. Cons: Can hear all floors above and below you. No tubs. Pool is chilly, unbearable. They state they keep it at 80 degrees. Way to cold. No crowds in the pool of two adjoining hotels on a Holiday week should say enough for how unbearable it was. Also, no hot tub, and bathrooms are outside of the pool area. Linen is shoddy, fitter sheet doesn’t fit bed, bedspread is in two pieces and paper thin. Very short/early breakfast options 6-9. Pros: lobby, easy parking, nice options on buffet breakfast. Again, Meh. Won’t be back.

Nice place for an overnight stay with our granddaughter. Breakfast was good, room was comfortable. We had some extremely loud people above us , it sounded like they were doing gymnastics for about 6 hours. The pool was closed for cleaning so our granddaughter was very disappointed. But we would stay again despite the little problems.

The facility was clean and updated. The option of 2 different breakfast places was wonderful. The game/lounge area was a plus! Staff were very friendly. The only things that were bothersome was noise was easy to hear and the towels for the pool were too small.

Place is excellent hotel, except for one of its two elevators( for 2 hotels) was out of service. Lines of residents along with employees and carts trying to get on at every floor. Can be loud with young sports teams staying there, but this tru or other are our Albany go to hotels.

Our stay was last minute during a snow storm so the hotel was at full capacity. The room was not clean. Stains on the couch , chairs and comforters. The handles on the microwave and refrigerator were dirty. The toilet rocked and the seat was crooked. There was a very unpleasant smell to the room as well. We have always enjoyed our stay at Homewood Suites in different areas as well as the Crossgates one but never again. It was a nice room so it wasn’t cheap but the condition of the room was just not exceptable.

When I went to check in I wasn’t greeted, the woman that checked me in was more so worried about clocking out and someone relieving her. I was told I’d have to wait because no rooms were ready. Luckily another staff member came over and confirmed there was a room ready. When we first arrived to our room it looked a bit dirty as if it wasn’t vacuumed, or wiped down,there was old food in the heater vent, like a whole cracker was in the vent sitting there. The couch had stains all over it and the blankets and sheets for the pull out couch were stained like actual food stains. When my daughter went to take a shower she noticed the brown ring around the tub before getting in. It felt as if the room was rushed to be clean.wasn’t the greatest experience. I chose this hotel because we previously stayed here and I had no complaints,but this time around it was a bit upsetting.

Loud children running around halls. Room smelled like smoke. BEDBUGS. Rough area. Was very uncomfortable. Lack of security. Furniture was worn. Mattress uncomfortable. Room not clean. Maintenance man was using a towel with his feet to clean floors — really??? Dishes were filthy.

This is a good hotel if you are visiting for a few days. The rooms are small but cozy, beds were comfortable. There isn’t much storage to put your clothes, you basically have to live out of your suitcases. Rooms are no really well insulated either, you can hear people walking above you or in the hallway… maybe not a best option if you’re a light sleeper. Breakfast was like any other chain that offers free breakfast: eggs and sausage/bacon, cereals and bagels, yogurts, pancake or waffle machine and fruits. All in all, good for the price but not for long stays!

Pros: The location was great. I had never seen the combo of two hotels in one. Night desk clerk was very nice. I didn't wake up in time for breakfast, but I thought it was nice you could choose between either hotel for breakfast. I appreciated check out was at noon. Price was great for a stop over on a cross country drive. Very clean. Nice common areas. Cons: (I had a king room.) The mattress sat directly on a wooden bed frame which was not super comfortable. The furniture was very sparse. There was only one chair in the room, so not sure how that would work for two people. There was plenty of room in the corner for an arm chair. The suitcase rack sat over the A/C unit which I thought was odd. There was not a lot of room to put stuff. To the right of the tv was a wooden table maybe 1ft by 3ft and there was a pull out desk that was maybe 2 ft by 3 ft. So there wasn't really anywhere to put anything. I guess this is just the style of Tru.

The room is spacious and the bed is very comfortable. Breakfast the usual continental breakfast. Nothing special. I wouldn’t stay here again. The walls are paper thin and I could actually hear the guy next to me snoring through the walls! There were like 10 kids in the rooms across from me making loud noises for hours. I wanted a peaceful, quiet stay and got the opposite of that.

The staff were all very friendly and informative. The hotel is nice and big. The room is also spacious and beds were comfy. Having a kitchenette and extra couch/bed was convenient. The pool looked nice but we didn’t have time to use it. Breakfast was really good, with lots of selection and two different areas to choose from and plenty of room to sit. My only complaint is the overall cleanliness of the room…couch was stained, headboards were also, and tables/surfaces didn’t look clean. It was good for a one night stay traveling through.

Was in town for an event over a weekend. Hotel was easy to get to. Updated. Clean. Negatives would be that the rooms are advertised as a king bed. The bed is clearly a queen. When asked front desk about size of bed. They told me that that is their king bed. I also think that when built, the contractors skimped on insulation. Could hear the bass from music and if anybody would laugh through the walls. Had to sleep with air and tv on to hide neighbor room noise.

I had no idea how important actual curtains were versus draw shades. It was difficult pulling chains to get dark blind up/ down and overall felt like a hospital room. This was the Tru side. I noticed the other wing had actual curtains. Now I know.

I loved the hotel as it was clean and staff was helpful and kind. I was just disappointed with the size of the overall room. The bed took up the majority of the room. Also I am sure not in all room but in my particular room the air conditioning was quite loud when it would turn on and would be loud for a long time before it would turn off again. I would stay again because of the location but I would hope to have a quieter air conditioning.

Excellent customer service! Got to the hotel at 130pm hoping to check in early to get ready for a wedding! ShaQuan allowed us to check in early with no issues or hesitation! Another shout out to her for being so accommodating!!!

We had a fast check in great customer services. The breakfast was excellent, but the housekeeper knocked on my door and bust through the door. The towels were not good, they were ripped and some had holes in them. But overall the place was beautiful and the front desk staff was so welcoming! Im coming back with my own bath towels.

Cleaning staff absolutely beating down my door several times throughout the morning, WHILE I had the do not disturb sign up. I'm talking 3-4 hours before checkout. Ridiculous. Will never go again just for that reason.

Deff will stay here again! Only thing that I can say negatively is on the website it says they accept cash multiple times and when I got there with only cash on me (my credit card was recently hacked) they said they can’t take cash.

We always stay here because it is next to the Crossgates mall. The hotel staff are very friendly. The hotel is nice and clean and the free breakfast is a bonus and we love the free coffee in the lobby

Perfect place to go they also include breakfast. The only down fall would the time for the breakfast it is from 6-9. When traveling and on vacation it would be nice if it was from 6-10. This is the earliest breakfast hotel offers that I have ever seen. But honestly great place to go nice clean and staff very nice.

Check in was easy and the staff was greatI got a 2 queen suite that was nice and spacious. My kids like it a lot. The bedding was terrible. The top bla ket was a duvet and the pillows squished down to nothing. The room smelled musty though i left the ceiling fan on all day, even while we were away. The pool was hazy and walls were dingy looking. Breakfast was pretty bad, too. Im pretty sure the eggs werent made of eggs and the sausage patty was the worst that ive ever had. It would be better to have offered nothing.
