Holiday Inn & Suites Monterey Park – Los Angeles by IHG

Super easy to park. Easy to get in & out of the hotel. Elevators gave easy access to the parking lot. Loved that i could take another elevator also to the shopping area connected to the hotel.

The employees were all very nice and courteous. The hotel was nice and clean parking was safe and easy to access. Surrounding area was great as well and will definitely stay here again.

No ice, no room service, paid for breakfast and a was limited on choice 3/5

It was very nice and secure. Did have to pay for parking but it was gated and they were up front about the cost when I booked it. Food was good. Greeted us as we walked in and very helpful with questions we had.

Clean, safe, price is good! Close to several places! Parking is kind of pricy! There is a good grocery store next to it Ralph! highly recommend

Beautiful new property. Check in took 20 minutes and required an excessive $200 deposit. Pool was unheated. Snack area unmanned and required kiosk controlled by customer. Restaurant is a small bar with a few tables. Parking is $15 when nowhere around there charges This is a beautiful new property that is very poorly managed!

Rooms were clean, new furniture and modern. We used the gym and it was very good and had new machines.

If I could give the staff six stars I would. Everyone is incredibly friendly and super nice. The beds in the room were the most comfortable I have ever been in. Close to freeway, close to restaurants. Only issue I truly had was the gym. Well appointed and brand new equipment but the off gassing from the new carpet gave me a headache. I am sure with time, it will go away.

This hotel is relatively new so everything is in relatively good shape for now but in the last two stays I’ve started seeing minor issues, eg. a rust stain and coffee stain on the rug, broken soap dispenser. My biggest issue this time was that rooms were not ready until 2 hours after supposed 3:00 check in time. I waited along with other guests for an hour in the lobby for my room to be readied. The front desk was short staffed so even when my room was ready earlier, the staff guy said he was too busy to tell me. I would still stay here again and I hope they will be able to maintain the hotel in good shape.

Fantastic hotel. Clean, updated rooms and common areas. Very friendly staff.

Our room was infested with ants including the bed and bathroom.

They gave us a room that was not clean. The bed was unmade and dirty towels on the floor.

Room and public accessible areas are clean.

The carpet and floor that I don't like are very dirty.

Room was infested by ants and our shower head wasn’t working properly so we got switched to a new room. The other room was still infested by ants and small bugs in the bathroom. We were also woken up by a fire alarm in the middle of the night. However, the staff was very friendly and helpful, the hotel was updated & aesthetically pleasing, and the restaurant food was great!

Nice, relatively new hotel. Spacious rooms, ours had a balcony.

Nice clean hotel, excellent quiet and safe location if you’re happy to stay slightly further from centre. Easy and safe parking. Terrible WiFi so don’t rely on that.

The rooms are large, basically like a 1 bedroom apartment (without a stove). Quiet and clean. Easy parking (paid). My only negative is the breakfast is not the most expansive, but was fine for me. A little more fresh fruit would have been nice, and had to wait quite a bit for coffee to be available.

The Good: room size and comfort; clean bathroom. Good black out curtains. Great! The Bad: noisy A/C, thermostat light lit up the room all night, toilet tank would not refill after flush. Signage in underground parking very confusing. The Ugly: breakfast. Definitely go elsewhere. Boxed, runny scrambled eggs, square baby potatoes from a bag, and either burnt or soggy toast. No bread options or cooked to order eggs. No free coffee in the lobby. Many of the staff seemed to be working part-time and were disinterested. No joy in this place!

This is located in a very convenient spot, kind of in the middle of everything. Freeway was very close but you do hear a lot of traffic. People above us were super loud but it happens. Overall it’s a good place.

The sound insulation is very poor. Can clearly hear upstairs quest’s walking sound.

The room close by street, can not sleep well the whole night

Friendly staff, price is reasonable and the hotel are very clean. Also, we have a connecting room which is very convenience with our kids staying close to us but have theirs private place. I would give 5 stars on all categories but one, the Wi-Fi is weak and actually have no signal in the rooms we stay. I think they need to resolve this issue. Other than that I would highly recommend

We liked the cleanliness and modern style of the hotel, easy access to parking and areas around town. The one negative would be the thin walls/flooring. We can hear footsteps, noise from the people above our room at night which made it hard to sleep.

Checked-in evening time on 4/24. Attitude of this Asian person ( male) who worked at the front desk was unpleasant. Don’t need that after a day of long flight. 👎

Terrible experience. Started right at check in the family room I had reserved was not available as the front desk stated they overbooked. So they gave me an extra room which was not what I wanted because in the room there was no microwave or sink which I would have had in the room I reserved. With young children those are things that matter along with having room to accomodatey whole family. Next at 9:30 in the morning I get a call about a noise complaint which really upset me one because only one of my children were awake and watching their tablet in bed and hello the quiet hours are 10pm-6am. Then the following evening at 9:34pm. After my family just got in from our outing not even two minutes in our room phone rings a noise complaint!!!! And then they have the audacity to send security absolutely unacceptable. I travel often with my family and have never experienced anything like this. Next time they should consider what the floor they are going to put families in and actually give them the room they reserved! And in addition the capets were stained in multiple places and the one microwave downstairs for all to share filthy. Will never be staying there again and I suggest anyone traveling with little one stay far away from this anything but family friendly hotel.

Very friendly staff and great service

I got takeout since hotel restaurant was closed, went to lobby for silverware, they told me to come back after 4 pm! Staff was rude and showed zero empathy

We stayed at this hotel for 7 days with our nearly 2-year-old and absolutely loved it. The parking is very convenient, the location is fantastic, and it's close to all amenities, making it very central. The hotel is spotless, and the staff is incredibly friendly. We’ll definitely consider staying here again on our next trip to LA!

The staff was friendly and professional, kudos to Xavier and Luis at Toast to Toast in particular. Hotel is clean, conveniently located and very comfortable. Happy Hour deals in the restaurant provide great options for reasonable dinners. Would stay here again!

The area was convenient for me and away from the hustle and bustle of LA! Very quiet and there were areas to shop and get things if need be!

The hotel was great. The location was amazing.

Our room was always clean, the access to the parking lot was really helpful. All staff really nice. The only thing is that all the attractions we wanted to visit were 38 to 50 minutes away and traffic made trips 10 to 15 minutes longer. Other than that, this hotel is an excellent place to stay.

Near the 10 freeway

This was a great location with various food options. It is also a quick drive to downtown Los Angeles.

Quiet and Safe part of town. Movie theatre within walking distance. Also a ton of Asian cuisine places within walking distance

The area was calm and there were many restaurants to visit. We enjoyed how close the theater is to the hotel.

This is a newly built hotel so everything is still very nice. Lots of flight attendants stay there from Asian airlines so it can get busy. It’s close to many eateries, market & EV charger. Close to freeway so convenient to get anywhere.

This hotel exceeded expectations. It not only was clean and organized, but staff was friendly and welcoming. The breakfast was delicious. Will definitely be returning soon.

The dining options were not good. They obviously don't have a lot of people eating, but we were traveling with children so specifically chose a place that said they had a restaurant. It was slow, food wasn't great by any means - and although kids eat free is posted all over - they don't mention the small print about kids eating free off the kids menu (which didn't even include pancakes for breakfast). I will say the duvet on the bed was amazing, but we won't be coming back.

Nice hotel, very clean. It was $5 for a cup of coffee-this is my one complaint. Most mid-range, nice hotels offer coffee in the lobby so it when I saw It was $5 for a drip coffee, that didn’t sit right with me. That’s more expensive than a small coffee at a nice coffee shop

Came for the Rose Bowl and this hotel was great!! Friendly and helpful staff, beautiful clean hotel and a added plus a delicious restaurant!

Only drawback is the breakfast serving is too too too slow. It took 50minutes to get the plate of traditional breakfast. It cost me too much time to wait for breakfast.

Thought that breakfast was included, as it usually is at all Holiday Inn Express, but this being "and Suites" is the difference. Still a decent price and didnt overeat like at the HIE.
