Check in begins at 2pm, on the app it states that check in ends at midnight, it the hotel called me around 4:30pm threatening to cancel my reservation if I didn’t check in before 6pm, after tho my reservation was paid for in full.. so we were rushed to do what we were doing to get out to Monterey park by 6pm, we literally got there like 3 mins shy, ice machine was broken, little ice tub to get ice was dirty, like disrespectful dirty but it didn’t matter because machine was broken, overall nice place, 15 mins away from Olvera st and downtown LA, would go again

What i did not like...on website Motel 6 Monterey Park claims, free coffee, laundry, none of those...my room was full of dust, room door could be broken into, could see metal latch, stairs are filthy, the windows in room are filthy and full of dust...but the morning agent ( 8am and 3p ) is very nice and tries to be accommodating, thank you for that...

I was surprised to have to pay a $5 a day cash only parking fee to be allowed to park our car on the Motel 6's premises before I was to check into our room. The towels and bedding were stained and did not appear to be very clean. I had to clean coffee rings and food scraps off of both nightstands. There was a huge sticky spill of something under the table in the room. There was no coffee of anything provided as part of the advertised "continental breakfast" on either of the two mornings we were there. I had notified them at booking that I was coming to stay so I could have a surgical procedure at USC. On the first night I asked for extra towels, which appeared to be cleaner than the ones in the room. We were not given fresh towels nor was the trash dumped, or the room cleaned during our two-night stay. I slept in my clothes to make sure that my surgical wounds from my outpatient procedure would not be exposed to the bedding, to prevent contamination and infection. I was very disappointed as Motel 6's are usually simple but very clean.

i’ve stayed at other motel 6 locations before and this has been the dirtiest one.. walked barefoot and my feet were black, they have roaches and the staff was nice but they never had any towels.. room smelled like cigarettes. i don’t care how affordable the motel is roaches and a dirty room is unacceptable

I booked this room for one night despite the mixed reviews, since I’ve stayed at other Motel 6 locations in the LA area that were decent. Unfortunately, this experience was terrible. The bedding was dirty and stained (I have photos), the bathroom floor was not cleaned and smelled strongly of urine, and I even found roaches in both the room and the bathroom (also documented with photos). On top of that, I reserved a room with two double beds but was only given one face towel and one bath towel. When I asked for more, the staff refused. Overall, this was an awful stay. Save yourself the stress—DO NOT BOOK HERE.

The floors were filthy, wiped up spill, came up black with dirt, they need to mop the floors, showerhead needs replacing, no water pressure, bed was like a board, hurt my back sleeping on it, towels and sheets are super thin and old. The stairways on the outside are filthy and smells bad. There were fleas in the shower drain.

This hotel stay has been the worst we've had so far. The room floor was so dirty it looked like no one sweeped or mop the floor. The bed sheets had stains and hairs. I found at leat 5 dead roaches in the room and one in the bathroom. The bathroom floor was also very dirty with hairs on the floors. The TV mostly but also the microwave was full of dust. It was all so very dirty. We stayed doe two nights despite all this because I really didn't want to go to the trouble of looking for another place. I made the BIG mistake, I still can't believe my self, of not reading the reviews prior of our booking. If I had I would have never book our stay here. So leason learned. Also, our room was not cleaned the next day as I was expecthing. At every other place we've stayed it gets cleaned once you step out for the day. You come back to a clean room, made bed with clean sheets and a cleaned up bathroom with new set of towels. Again my mistake for thinking Motel 6 would have descent service as to clean our room while we were out. I had to call front desk to ask for a new set of clean towels. One thing for sure, wont make the same mistake again of booking cheap Motels because cheap service is what you'll get.

I has a good stay but the floor was so incredibly dirty and the bedding was all white. I have dogs at hone and my feet dont get as dirty as they did in this room. The rest of the stay was fine, but because the floor was so dirty, the cleanliness of the rest of the room concerned me. I think the cleaning crew is doing the bare minimum and just does enough to look clean but is not actually clean. Not to mention the cleaning crew didn’t realize I spoke spanish and they were talking badly about me in front of me, thinking I am white and probably didnt know what they were saying.

There were stains on the sheets and towels upon arriving and the toilet was dirty as well. There was also construction on the second day there so it was noisy. The walls are super thin so you could hear the next door neighbors and upstairs. The parking had its own place but i wouldn't recommend taking anything bigger than a sedan. The staff was nice and helpful though.

I was pleased. The beds were exceptionally comfortable. My only complaint is that the room did not have a table and chairs. No place to sit and read a book, write postcards or eat your takeout food. If you’re on business, nowhere to put your computer.

This was the most spartan room I've ever stayed in. There is a bad, a small table with 2 chairs, fridge with a microwave sitting on top, tv on the wall and that's about it. Not even a drawer to unpack into. No shampoo in the shower, no soapdish to put the soap in. All that said, it's a cheap room that provided a decent bed to sleep on and a shower to wash in. Enough parking onsite for the rooms. We're not in a rush to go back, but it met our needs and we'd be ok with staying there again.

It was a weekend to visit family. The hotel was pretty much in the center of where I needed to be. The room is not too bad except that the bed was not too comfortable. It sank when you lay on it especially on the left side, it was tilting. This mattress should be replaced to a much better one.

Decent hotel room. Basic. Chairs hurt to sit on for more than 5 minutes to do computer work and sheets had a couple of stains on it. Tv had to be programmed in order to work and did not have an hdmi port to connect my fire stick. Overall decent cheap motel.for the price. Noise comes through the door ot also

The staff were very friendly and accommodating. Watched TV with no issue. A special mention: they were nice enough to let me leave my stuff for a few hours so I could walk around the area after checking out. Thanks to the nice staff for a pleasant stay. Got there at check in 3pm on 2/15 but none of the rooms including my room was available because Valentine’s Day was the day before and not all their guest had left in time. This caused me to be late to my event, I asked if they can offer me any discount or compensation and they said no. Not cool, room was available probably around 4:15pm but other than that it was fine. I give it 3/5 stars

I am only giving one star because I can give less. After checking me in they scammed me by charging me for parking in cash when reservation cleared stays the parking is included, when confronted the guy at the front desk started raising his voice and got super offensive. He refused to check me out at the moment and refund my money. DO NOT STAY HERE THEY WILL SCAM YOU.

The manger was outside the property, did not identify himself, was harassing me, and called me racist multiple times. I booked a two day stay and left after the first day due to this situation. I want a full refund for the entire stay or I will file a lawsuit against Motel6 Monterey Park and Hotels.com.

The room wasn't available until after 3pm as they were short staffed and were behind in the cleaning but we were able to guarantee our rooms and request them next to each other. Upon our return after 3pm check in went smoothly and he did accommodate our request to have the rooms next to each other which we appreciate and the rooms were clean and comfortable. The parking situation is snug if you have an SUV, truck or large vehicle but manageable. Even though things didn't go as we would have liked at first everything worked out and we didn't have any issues. Considering it is a Motel we never felt threatened or concerned for our safety. We were traveling with our kids.

The bed sheets were not cleaned you can still see hair from other people that stayed. The towels had hair on them as well. I did not feel clean the whole time I was here. I regretted not bring my own sheets and my own towels. The area was also okay but it was in a not so okay area

I booked this property because it said 15 minutes from dodger stadium. It was about 35 min away. When I asked for extra pillows and blanket the front desk person said that they didn’t have anymore. The bed was not comfortable at all. There was a roach in our room.

Not worth $100 a night . Terrible parking lot. Bad neighborhood . The doors were as secure as a ziploc bag. So not pay in advance. See the place first and youll mark it off the list of possibilities .

Very bad service . I couldn’t even get an extra pillow. I Bought an extra pillow for comfort. Pool was advertised but didn’t work. Microwave in room didn’t work. No complimentary breakfast. I travel often and have been at this motel 6 several years ago, won’t go back there again. Will tell family and friends.
