Ambiance familiale et sympathique, gros effort pour parler français et beaucoup d'humour. Le diner chez Nico's est top ! Excellents vins et cuisine fine avec produits frais et locaux. Petite piscine mais spa tout neuf et tout beau A 10mn pied du téléphérique Oeschinensee.

Wonderful small hotel with a surprisingly great spa! Amazing view. We got upgraded for free. The breakfast was copious and delicious. The staff was friendly. I just wish there was less single use items: small soap/shampoo bottles, slippers, etc.

Wir hatten eine grosszügige Suite mit grossem Balkon. Sehr schönes Badezimmer. Der Saunabereich ist einfach Hammer, wohl auf kleinem Raum optimal angelegt. Ich fröie mich darauf wenn die Terasse beim Wellness fertiggestellt ist. Schade dass die Kaffeekapseln nicht aufgefüllt wurden. Sehr netter Empfang und Service.

Das Alfa Soleil ist ein sehr schönes Hotel und es passt sehr gut ins Landschaftsbild de Berner Oberland. Die Zimmer sind etwas klein genau so wie das Bad, aber das wiegt die schöne und neue Wellnessanlage wieder auf. Lediglich für Saunatücher und Getränke müsste besser gesorgt werden. Sonst wäre da alles ok. Die Küche, das Essen ist hervorragend und sicher das Beste im ganzen Ort. Wir haben hie mehr als 2 Stunden gesessen obwohl das Restaurant nicht zu stark besetzt war. Aber eben das Essen liess das alles wieder vergessen. Nur das Ambiente passte irgendwie nicht zu der Gilde Küche. ( Kein Tischtuch, nicht mal ein Tischläufer ) alles wurde auf den nackten Tisch serviert. Vom Frühstück waren wir eher enttäuscht, passte gar nicht zu einem Gilde Hotel. Mangelhafte Leistung des Personals beim Frühstück und auch die Auswahl war eher dürftig. ( keine Croissant, nur eine Sorte Jogurt, Käse zum selber abschneiden, alles in Selbstbedienung ) eben ein NoGo für ein solches Haus. Ich habe das der Chefin mitgeteilt und sie war meiner Meinung . Für Abhilfe wird also gesorgt und somit komme ich auf jeden Fall wieder in dieses Hotel.

Very much a vintage hotel experience. I had an excellent mountain view, which I was able to enjoy from bed every morning. The cleaning crew were efficient and very good. The staff was very helpful with planning alternative hikes. I chose to walk the 800m from the train station, which for me was very doable. However, I am very fit and this may not be an option for everyone. The breakfast buffet was very good. I also had dinner at the hotel restaurant, Nico's, which was excellent. It was my best dining experience in Kandersteg and during my stay in Switzerland. The spa was small, but clean and very relaxing. I highly recommend staying here and would absolutely re-visit if I come back to Switzerland.

The room was not very clean. I dropped my book between the bed and the cabinet and my book was covered in dirt and fluff. We did not use the swimming pool - or should I say plunge pool. The online photo makes it seem like the pool is about 25m long but in fact it is more like 10m! The swimming pool is very dark and dingy and not at all inviting. It's a sham because we chose this hotel because it had a pool. On the plus side, the beds were extremely comfortable and the breakfast was great, a very good selection of muesli and breads. The hotel team were very helpful so I do feel mean giving this review but I do feel a bit tricked into thinking they had a nice pool.

First impression matters, we arrived super early before checkIn time, the front desk was unattended, I called for help and someone showed up with no friendly approach, I stated that I understood that we were early to check in and we wanted to see our options, she seemed annoyed with us, did reminded us that it was too early to check in again. I asked if we leave our bags and she took us to the room where we could leave our luggage until check in. I did not feel welcome at all. The property is nice, clean, comfortable beds and spacious room. The area was very quite for the time we were there, not everything was open, but we enjoyed it that way. Breakfast was good. at first we got the wrong room without balcony and no view but that was corrected quickly. The room was a bit small for a junior suite. We missed a hair dryer in the bath room. But the location was perfect and the staff very friendly

Séjour extrêmement reposant. Accueil chaleureux et empathique. Le lieu est magique et superbe et l'hébergement offre une douceur et une quiétude absolu. Je recommande cet établissement dans lequel je reviendrai certainement.

Lovely family run hotel in a delightful small Swiss village. The owner is the chef at the restaurant, called Nico’s. We had two excellent dinners there.The reception staff are helpful and friendly.

First impression matters, we arrived super early before checkIn time, the front desk was unattended, I called for help and someone showed up with no friendly approach, I stated that I understood that we were early to check in and we wanted to see our options, she seemed annoyed with us, did reminded us that it was too early to check in again. I asked if we leave our bags and she took us to the room where we could leave our luggage until check in. I did not feel welcome at all. The property is nice, clean, comfortable beds and spacious room. The area was very quite for the time we were there, not everything was open, but we enjoyed it that way. Breakfast was good. Das Alfa Soleil ist ein sehr schönes Hotel und es passt sehr gut ins Landschaftsbild de Berner Oberland. Die Zimmer sind etwas klein genau so wie das Bad, aber das wiegt die schöne und neue Wellnessanlage wieder auf. Lediglich für Saunatücher und Getränke müsste besser gesorgt werden. Sonst wäre da alles ok. Die Küche, das Essen ist hervorragend und sicher das Beste im ganzen Ort. Wir haben hie mehr als 2 Stunden gesessen obwohl das Restaurant nicht zu stark besetzt war. Aber eben das Essen liess das alles wieder vergessen. Nur das Ambiente passte irgendwie nicht zu der Gilde Küche. ( Kein Tischtuch, nicht mal ein Tischläufer ) alles wurde auf den nackten Tisch serviert. Vom Frühstück waren wir eher enttäuscht, passte gar nicht zu einem Gilde Hotel. Mangelhafte Leistung des Personals beim Frühstück und auch die Auswahl war eher dürftig. ( keine Croissant, nur eine Sorte Jogurt, Käse zum selber abschneiden, alles in Selbstbedienung ) eben ein NoGo für ein solches Haus. Ich habe das der Chefin mitgeteilt und sie war meiner Meinung . Für Abhilfe wird also gesorgt und somit komme ich auf jeden Fall wieder in dieses Hotel.

Very much a vintage hotel experience. I had an excellent mountain view, which I was able to enjoy from bed every morning. The cleaning crew were efficient and very good. The staff was very helpful with planning alternative hikes. I chose to walk the 800m from the train station, which for me was very doable. However, I am very fit and this may not be an option for everyone. The breakfast buffet was very good. I also had dinner at the hotel restaurant, Nico's, which was excellent. It was my best dining experience in Kandersteg and during my stay in Switzerland. The spa was small, but clean and very relaxing. I highly recommend staying here and would absolutely re-visit if I come back to Switzerland.

Best hotel of our entire trip! Beautiful location, gorgeous immaculately clean rooms, breakfast buffet to die for and incredible spa with hot saunas, wet saunas, glacier water bucket shower and full swimming pool. All included ! Cozy lobby area with pool table and old fashion record players. Able to walk to our dinners and to several hikes in Kandersteg. Staff was amazing and Nico owner drove us in his van to pick up shipped luggage waiting at the train station. Wonderful family run hotel Would highly recommend this wonderful hotel !
