Nice place to stay but would have appreciated knowing ahead of time the indoor pool heater was broken. Chose this place specifically for the pool. Too cold to swim in which was disappointing for the kids.

This hotel has everything we needed. The indoor pool and hot tub were nice. The breakfast options were or good. We really liked the yogurt machine. The hotel is located right next to Safeway so it was vreally easy to get gas and walk over to grab snacks. There is a trolley stop right outside the hotel that takes you into town.

Overall a good experience. However the reason we booked this hotel was solely because it had an indoor pool. Unfortunately the pool was too cold to use the entire time. Looking at online reviews, it looks like it's been that way for at least a few weeks. Very bummed that we utilize the pool, as if I knew that, we would have stayed somewhere else.

When we walked in floor was sticky and there little hand prints all over the mirror. We got in late so i cleaned it. We stayed for 4 nights room wasn’t cleaned even when i ask for it to be. The trades were emptied and more towels were brought but nothing else

The ice machine on our floor was out of order but there was plenty of ice at the machine by the front desk. Breakfast was good. Two things about the room had us a little uneasy about how well the room got cleaned: there were crumbs on the nightstand and soap scum on the sink counter. The free earplugs were nice to have, those sea lions were loud.

Very nice and very clean for this price point. The room was huge and the view was beautiful! We used the pool and hot tub and were very pleased with how clean we found it. We had a great time!

My daughter said the sofabed smelled musty and we thought it was just because it was folded up and probably needed to air out a bit. She ended up not sleeping at all that night because of the smell. When we folded it back up in the morning we found a considerable amount of visible fuzzy mold on the underside of the sofabed mattress. The hotel was otherwise fine and the staff was super polite.

There was a chewed piece of gum stuck to the luggage rack, a used straw under the foot rest and a large spider and web attached to my headboard. When I asked to switch rooms becsuse i have had bad reactions to spider bites in the past i was told there was nothing they could do and hopefully the spider crawls in a hole and dies. And that the manager wouldn't answer their phone if the desk agent called so she wasn’t even going to try. For almost $400 a night i should at least be able to get a clean room! The Holiday Inn down the street is clean, comfortable, and most importantly, spider free. You are better off staying there!

My husband and I stayed in a king room (334), which had a partial view of the Columbia River. It was a quiet, top-floor room at the end of the hallway. The room looked newly renovated, with a large-screen TV, mini fridge, coffee maker, microwave, iron/ironing board and free wi-fi. The bed was comfortable and the shower felt wonderful. Breakfast was good. Highly recommend.

Our room was right beside the elevator but we honestly didn’t hear it at all. Unfortunately our window looked out onto the roof of the lobby so we couldn’t see a thing, although it did muffle the highway sounds. We had no idea that the sea lion dock was right behind the hotel and they were LOUD. We were quite thankful to be on the highway side so we didn’t hear them from our room.

We enjoyed the Halloween candy in the lobby and the friendly person at the desk. Our room had too much light during the night for sleeping, provided by the nightlight near the right sink and the clock. The tv was difficult for us to operate and frustrating as we wanted to watch a Mariner baseball game.

This hotel had alot of problems. They are understaffed. Long waits too speak to somewhat at the desk. I stood and waited 15 minutes while the only person working took a complicated reservation over the phone. When I expressed some frustration, she gave me a sour look. I arrived at 2:30 PM and although check in time is 3 PM I was told not a single room was ready. I needed to leave and asked if my partner, who wanted to take a nap, could check in for me. No, that was against the rules, so I had to wait 30 minutes to check in at exactly 3 PM. I'm sure they could have found one double room that was clean and allowed me to check in without the wait. Unfortunately, the room they gave us had a faulty air conditioner which made a clanking, rhythmic mechanical noise (instead of the usual hum) which was loud enough to prevent sleep. I requested it be fixed or be allowed to switch to another room. When we returned from dinner, the unit was still making noise. The lone employee at the desk told me it had been checked and that all the air conditioners in the hotel made this noise. I knew that was untrue because the air conditioners in the hallways made the usual low level hum. When I said I wanted a new room anyway, I was told it was not possible. The pool and hottub were supposed to be open 24 hours a day, but the next morning they were closed. Beds were comfortable and beakfast was good. But a hotel this size needs a bigger staff and needs to go the extra mile for the paying customers.

Front desk staff was exceptional. Lori went out of her way to make sure that we were satisfied! Housekeeping was on top of it, especially towels, which is a major thing for us:) the pool and hot tub were very clean and well taken care of which is exceptional for our daughter who loves to go swimming

Stayed 2 nights. Checkin process was slow. We reached at 5pm and had to wait 20 mins for a room. The front desk had to go up and check what rooms were cleaned and even then made mistakes and assigned a room that was being cleaned. By this time we were already standing in the corridor with our luggage rather than sitting in the lobby, something I would t expect if I am paying upwards of $310 a night. On complaining I was told there was nothing they could do and that it was due to people Checking out late. The rooms were clean . Room had a box type AC in the corner which is decent. Bathroom and Bedroom was clean. Breakfast was average with what you would expect at a standard comfort inn. Standard sausages, cold boiled eggs, oats, basic cereal and bread/bagels and pancakes. The toaster was semi functional. Overall at this price point I would probably not recommend.

The hotel itself was not terrible place. The staff was friendly, albeit untrained. There was no sheets on the pullout or in the room. The bathroom had two towels for a reservation of five. There were mouse traps behind the behind the furniture and the toilet bubbled every five minutes throughout the night. The breakfast food wasn’t eatable and the waffle maker was empty. The staff had me call tech-support to try to fix the issues with the TV, because they didn’t know how it worked. They wouldn’t bring me the towels or sheets. I had to go get them myself, which was more of an inconvenience than something to get upset about, but was irritating on top of everything else. That being said, it wasn’t the worst place in the world and the staff was nice enough. We ended up leaving early and eating elsewhere just because it wasn’t worth staying the extra night. No ask of “how was your stay” when we said we were checking out early, even though it was a different attendant. It’s probably an ok place to stay if you don’t plan on being in the room and just use it as a bed, but the place does deserve an honest review from somebody. I’d look elsewhere if I come back through town again.

While we never made use of the trolley, it does make a stop at the hotel. It’s a nice walk from the hotel to the Coffee Girl where we enjoyed breakfast and drinks outside on the pier while we enjoyed watching a stuck barge being helped by tugboats. The hotel is clean, in a quiet location, and the staff we encountered were very friendly and helpful.

Visited on a busy weekend, full to capacity. Check in was quick and easy. The room was clean and comfortable, the only equipment out of order was the bathroom fan. The indoor pool and jacuzzi area was well maintained. Convenient location right off a major street, Safeway next door for easy resupply. The waterfront walkway is right outside the property, with beautiful views of the Astoria-Megler Bridge, the Columbia River, the noisy sea lion community, and 10 minute stroll to Pier 39. In short: would recommend staying here with family.

Great location: right on the river and the river walk with trolley service, close enough to town but away from hub-a-bub. Rooms nicely updated and very comfortable. Did not use the facilities, but they had it all (pool, hot tub, and gym).

The breakfast was good and had lots of choices, hot and cold foods. Good coffee! (The hot tub was not working.) But the pool was nice warm and large. My 2 grandkids and I had lots of fun swimming. The staff was wonderful, especially the receptionist, Lori. 😄
