The shower in the pool area was not working when we were there. We told staff. The room was fabulous, the staff was super helpful and accommodating. Loved our room. Everything was clean and well kept. Definitely will be coming back again. The breakfasts were good. Really appricated the towels at the pool. That made things easier. Hot tub was great.

Nice proper and clean rooms. Easy check-in. Beds very comfortable. Location a little away from restaurants and the Pier 39 closed at 9 so had to drive back in town. Slightly industrial area but an easy drive to Astoria Column and continuing our trip to Mt. Ranier. Good breakfast options.

Stayed 2 nights

My wife and I stayed here from Friday night until Sunday morning, June 19-21. When we were leaving Sunday morning to check out, my wife was making sure we got everything and when opening the drawer of the bedside nightstand discovered it was full of underwear that was not ours. She was very disgusted as was I. Also upon moving back one of the chairs in the room, a cup of soup container was under the chair, not ours. Obviously whomever cleaned the room prior to us checking in on Friday did not do a very good job. I hope that at least the sheets had been changed. One other minor issue was that I had asked the front desk person for an extra desk chair for the room after we checked in on Friday. He could not seem to find one extra chair for me in the entire complex...or maybe he didn't even bother to check. Again on Saturday I asked the new guy the same thing and was told no extra chairs. Unbelievable. The in-suite coffee maker was pathetic, no kitchen utensils, etc. The free buffet breakfast was terrible, greasy sausages and some kind of weird egg-omelet things. I booked this room based on my assumption that Hampton/Hilton hotels were top notch places to stay. I am now very disappointed in this assumption. I reached out to the manager who seemed to be not around. Finally got a voice mail from him 3 days later. Hotels.com agent was able to get in contact with him and he credited me a pittance Incredible! No apology. I will never stay in this hotel again.

This hotel is certainly pristine in its layout and location close to the Columbia River. The staff was helpful but not always present at the front desk. The exercise room and the pool areas were top notch! As for the breakfast area...well, the layout and beauty of the area was of "fine restaurant" quality. The food itself, however, was--at best--mediocre. And the coffee...well, I admit we are "coffee snobs" from Washington State, but still...to have only two coffee offerings--"light roast" and "decaf"--is perhaps a "breakfast blunder." In the morning, nothing "wakes up" a body like "dark roast" coffee. And the coffee should be checked often to make sure the thermos container keeps it hot. After about an hour in the breakfast room, the milquetoast "light roast" coffee was only lukewarm. Sorry, but the room accommodations and the amenities were wonderful; the free breakfast...not so much.

It was nice to be by the river. We enjoyed watching the ships. We enjoyed the river walk and saw the sea lions “ singing”. The room was spacious, the bed was comfortable, and the shower had good water pressure and hot water. There were several options for breakfast. A very nice place to stay.
