AC Hotel by Marriott Waco Downtown

This is our second time staying at this hotel. It’s become our go-to hotel when in Waco based on the great location, clean rooms, and relaxing outdoor pool area with big screen tv. It’s within walking distance of lots of shopping and good restaurants.

The pool was great and the staff was very accommodating.

Nice place for price. Pool is great. During our stay, the property’s elevators were not working, making guests go around the property through the stairs which was inconvenient. Other than that, the place is great. Neighbors to Magnolia, and that was great

This was a beautiful hotel! Incredibly clean and the staff were so kind. The outside pool area with the televisions and fire pits were so fun to hang out at to watch sports. Walkable area and in a great location. Would highly recommend.

Great location with nice amenities and comfy beds .. nice pool and lounge area .. would have like to have bar service at the pool (they told us they did some days) … easy to walk to downtown attractions… have to pay for parking though and it’s kinda a hike from garage to hotel especially with luggage.

Super clean, very nice room staff was all super friendly and helpful. Have the parking added to your room key its definitely worth it and super reasonable compared to paying outright. Super close and walkable to all downtown locations including Magnolia Market. The pool was really nice and open late with big TV and firepits. Absolute fav part. If you have alot of luggage unload at the front door when you check in, the parking garage is close but would seem far with a bunch of bags. Would definitely stay here again.

Place was super clean and just as we expected, the bar was great, bartender was spot on. Our stay was perfect, only thing I'd change is the cleaning crew starting later than 9am -

We loved this hotel! Conveniently located in the Silos district with easy access to other shops downtown and many restaurants. The pool area is fantastic. Every member of the staff that we encountered was friendly and helpful. We will be making this our primary choice of hotel in Waco!

This was a great place to stay, walking distance to Magnolia Silos! The parking garage was under construction and we were not told. We chose the $12 parking garage because it was raining only to find out that the portion to cross to the hotel was under construction. Huge waste of money.

The property is still growing. It’s a brand new hotel around six months old. It doesn’t have a restaurant per se but it does provide good food. Has a bar area. Swimming pool is great. The service was great. Our bartender was excellent. The rooms were very comfortable. I would definitely stay here again

Stayed one night. This hotel was lovely, easy check in, parking is in a multistorey behind the hotel and is $12 a night, pool was lovely, right next door to the silos, and dr pepper museum room lovely and clean and bed was super comfy

Overall it was great only complaint the floors were very dirty and no one cleaned under bed the dog found empty water bottle and plastic hpieces he started chewing on

FANTASTIC customer service at the front desk! I was helped by Marcus multiple times and he was a joy. My room was not clean at all (hair on bed, dirt everywhere...let's not talk about bathroom), but he quickly got us to a second room that was cleaner. Wonderful location

The front desk staff was excellent. Restaurant staff also did an outstanding job. Housekeeping was a disappointment. Each day we had to as to have our room cleaned. They only responded once, and were apparently not happy with having to do it, because it was poorly done. The second day we asked three times and we got no response.

Not the cleanest bathroom with hair on the towels, hair on the floors and in the shower. The comforter on the bed had a really bad odor.

Check-In: Evening front end representative was warm, inviting, congenial. Explained all features of the facilities, check in process quick and trouble free; parking garage, lounge, et al. Outside perimeter, lobby, elevators, hallways and stairwells clean and well lit. Extremely classy. Outdoor pool was very inviting, but did not have time to avail ourselves of it. Rooms spotless, and ultra modern: King bed super comfy - sheets and blankets looked and smelled super clean and fresh. Room a/c - heat very responsive. Bathroom: I'm a big guy: so that tremendous shower with plenty of room for turning around was well appreciated. Various shower heads (overhead rain, or power nozzle on a hose - which is what I use in my home and not usually in motels/hotels was a pleasant surprise.) Shower controls needed some getting used to (no markings or instructions but intuitive enough), plenty of hot water. There is only one thing I can take minor issue with in the bathroom: square toilet bowls? I mean: it worked, it was clean, it flushed, but square? Found it a little awkward for a guy standing up to do his business. For proper aim and to avoid making a mess on the rim, a guy has to straddle the bowl to avoid splash. Other than that, rest of bathroom very roomy and modern. Two people can get ready and not be in each others way. Check out smooth and quick. Definitely worth the $129 weeknight rate. Nice hotel. Great bar. No exhaust fan in bathroom, room was never cleaned in our 3 day stay. Had to ask for towels everyday and twice never got them

This property description claims free parking. I was charged $12. The shower was filthy. The corners were built up with black gunk. They scheduled fire alarm testing between 9am-10am. WHY? This lacks common sense. Do it after 11am checkout. So annoying!

The room was not clean had a women hair on the floor and restroom the reception service was ok

I thought everything was great, with the exception of the lighting. The bathroom lights were ridiculously bright, I mean super super bright, you needed sunglasses. Also, when you turn the hall light on as soon as you open the door, it lights up the opposite side of the room which is not ideal when someone is sleeping. And that light is also super bright. No microwave tho. Other than that, I loved it. The bedding was fantastic! It was wicked clean too!

AC Hotel is an overall good hotel. Brand new, a block from the Silos, quiet, good size rooms and large pool. Decent breakfast buffet for a fee. Staff was friendly and fairly quick check in and checkout. Free parking. Only downsize (which were minor) were parking garage is in a different building away from lobby and elevators. Also shower faucet was complicated and sinks were not designed for function but instead look. We would stay here again as it was a decent price for a clean comfortable quiet hotel with a short walk to the Silos and a few blocks from other restaurants and downrown Waco.

If you go with a significant other, don’t plan on using the bathroom. They had given me the wrong room the first time and had the same bathroom glass door not closing right, so it’s not like it was just my room . The bathroom doors do not close all the way; it is a sliding glass door that doesn’t shut all the way. I paid less at another hotel and had a way better room and services. Pictures are all for show; you could definitely find another better hotel with the amount they charged.

Was good overall but the room temperature wouldn’t go lower than 74. Called had someone look at said they fixed it but still couldn’t get down to 70

The hotel was beautiful, and we really enjoyed our stay. The only issue I had was that I really disliked the design of the door to the bathroom. A non-locking sliding door provides almost no privacy when you are in the bathroom. Otherwise, we loved it.

Long story short, they didn’t have a room for us regardless of our reservation. They “found” a room but after unpacking we realized the ac didn’t work (82*). Called front desk and they moved us to another room but there was no power in the bathroom. Manager agreed to add 10,000 Marriott points to our account, however, only 5,000 points were added. Contacted hotel management, again, and they said “they are working on” adding the additional points. The hotel has a lot of potential once they get the maintenance and management kinks worked out.

Customer service was top-notch! The area where it was located was perfect! We were there to visit the silos at magnolia and it was exactly a block away, which was so convenient! The only thing I would let others know is that there is literally a train right next to it and it would go by the property around seven-ish in the morning, so if you are not a heavy sleeper or you wanna sleep in it will wake you up. Other than that, honestly, I would probably stay there again

Property and facilities are nice. The charge to park is ridiculous seeing as you pay to stay the night and needing a place to park is common sense. Then the parking garage is under construction or roped off for whatever reason making it inconvenient to park in. The rooms were nice and clean but the design of the bathroom door leaves something to be desired. There is no privacy and that will be the reason I wouldnt book again. Having teenagers and adults, everyone needs privacy

Not so good, Air condition felt like water cooler. Pillows were falling a part, crumble.

Top-shelf hotel no doubt. Only 2 complaints: You could hear the piped in music all night from our second floor room. Downtown streets were littered with trash Sunday morning. Waco can do better!

Room was not ready upon check in. Front staff said room MIGHT be ready around 5:30 ish. We needed to get ready at 4:00 and needed a room. Mgr very rude. I want a refund!! Never staying at this property. We had to go to familys home to get ready for event.

My check in experience was lacking. The representative that checked me in was less than enthusiastic. Not friendly and did not provide any information. My questions seemed to annoy her. The bar and restaurant staff are fantastic. The property is beautiful and located in the middle of all the best spots in Waco. Right behind the Silos.

We really enjoyed the hotel and location. It’s a great stay in the heart of Waco. However, they fell through on the “guaranteed check in by 4”. We paid for a king room and they didn’t have any available after the guaranteed check in time. They said they wouldn’t have any idea when or IF they would have any available that night. Since we had a wedding to get ready for and attend, we had no choice but to stay in a cheaper double bed room just so we could make be on time for the evening. It was disappointing

I was given a handicap room which was not conducive. I went back to the front desk. She told me, “That was the last room left.” My husband informed her we were Bonvoy members. Suddenly, she found a room. However, the electricity in the bathroom stopped working at about 1030 pm. I called the front desk and nobody came. In the morning it was still dark and we didn’t have electricity. I informed the front desk of the problem. I was told that only my $12 parking could be refunded. It was terrible that I paid nearly $400 and we had no electricity to see. Couldn’t bath, do our hair or put on make up etc.

We had a wonderful experience from check-in to check-out. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the food was both delicious and reasonably priced. The lobby, hallways, and rooms were clean. My husband and I were greeted by all the staff, including maintenance. I was particularly impressed when the maintenance staff engaged in genuine small talk as we rode down the elevator. The walk to the Silos was a pleasant two to three minutes away.

Staff was friendly, very nice girl at check in who did her best to get us into our room, nice amenities in hotel. Our rooms were not ready until 5:45. Barn door on bathroom is horrible, doesn't close (0 privacy) I got stuck in bathroom b/c the door wouldn't open, almost had to call maintenance to get out. Outlets poorly designed, not enough, can't use both plug ins in an outlet. Needs an additional mirror over desk, little hanging space or drawer space, would be difficult to stay several days or with family. Functionality of room not very well thought out. Attractive, but not functional.

Our check-in was amazing due to Sarah. She was friendly and answered all of our questions with a smile. One of the best check-ins I have ever done.

Did not like that the access for Handicapped was far from doors to hotel.

Lovely hotel near Magnolia Silos.

Loved the location, great view of the Magnolia Silos which are a block away. Easy walk to all the restaurants and bars downtown. Great room service menu as well. Definitely spend the money on the breakfast they do an amazing job. The staff were so friendly and helpful. We will definitely stay there again next time we are in town.

Location was perfect

This location is very convenient to the Silos, restaurants, shopping, Dr. Pepper museum, etc. We never had to drive anywhere. The hotel seems very new and clean. Rooms are spacious. I would definitely stay there again.

The staff are super friendly and the location was perfect location for walkable activities. Will definitely keep this one on top of the list.

When you visit Magnolia Silos, this is the most amazing hotel to say with. You can walk to Magnolia, Hotel 1928, Union Hall, Terry Black's BBQ, and amazing Mexican food nearby. There is a beautiful swimming pool to enjoy, several places to enjoy the gathering of friends or family outdoors or indoors. The hotel even offers lavender sachets and tea for you to have for a peaceful nights rest. We would stay here again indeed.

Property was nice, clean, and new. Staff was friendly and welcoming. The breakfast was better than I expected $30 some for 2 ppl.

Bar service was bad … drinks were poor

Brand new property that’s still being set up in areas. Overall a great stay next to the magnolia silos and the breakfast was tasty although it is 22 dollars a person.

AMAZING location, amenities & clean. Friendly & helpful staff. Disappointed that breakfast wasn't free. $16 per person is way too much!

My daughter and I had a really nice week. Our stay has no problems. The staff was personable and very accommodating. Our breakfast server, Amanda, went beyond what was expected of her. I felt I had a friend there by the last day. And speaking of breakfast, the offerings were perfect.

Fast check-in, clean room, comfy bed. Parking was only $12/day, which is good compared to other places on this trip. Pool was nice, breakfast buffet ($16) was really good. Only issue was getting in and out of the parkade. Each time we pressed the help button and they opened the gate for us. Easy walk to lots of restaurants, the silos and the Dr. Pepper museum.
