A beautiful hotel, the decor & styling made it feel homely, on a grand scale. The rooms are a good size & well appointed with lovely bath & toiletries. Dyson hairdryer etc. The gym, pool sauna & steam area is superb, you could easily spend 3 hours in the wellness space. The qrcode to gain access to a Pilates workout is great. The Library offer afternoon free drinks from 4:30_5:30 which was pleasant. Staff are professional & kind. Breakfast which was incl was high quality & a beautiful environment. It is expensive to stay so I suppose you expect something great, especially as there’s no harbour views (well from our 2nd floor room) I’m gold level with Hotels.com which means room upgrade, early late checkout, if available. I wasn’t acknowledge or offered any of them & not one to ask (if you don’t ask you don’t get) Another strange thing, we wanted valet but missed & didn’t see entry so drove around block & ended up parking at Wilson’s car park next door. There’s no doorman so you struggle with your bags up stairs then look for reception. The same when you leave. You pay your account then you’re off on your own to exit… I found it a little strange Location is perfect for Sydney CBD

We had such a an incredible stay at Capella over the weekend! Everything was on point and each and every staff we encountered made us felt very welcomed. They were attentive and helpful. The room itself was perfect, very clean and had everything you need. The facilities at the fitness centre, pool and spa were all excellent, except maybe if the fitness centre could include more equipments (e.g. barbells) that’d be perfect. The breakfast included was also delicious, it was such a great way to start our day. All in all, it was an exceptional experience and would recommend anyone looking for a perfect 5star hotel!

Parking is the only thing that could be improved, everything else is by far the experience from a 5 star hotel in a world class city. Amazing staff, beautiful rooms, great location and the restaurants on site are some of my favourite. The rocky road is a fine touch that every guest can enjoy!

Thank you to the amazing concierge staff at Capella. I had an amazing 3night stay for my birthday. Beautiful facility with an indoor pool and very spacious suites. Jonathan went above and beyond to make sure all of our Luxury accommodations were met.

Our stay was amazing. The hotel is absolutely flawless. The attention to detail and service is second to none. The rooms are well appointed and massive, the hotel facilities are great and the lobby has got to be the best hotel lobby I have ever visited. Highly recommend this hotel. Classy, arty vide, excellent food, great customer service. Exceptional renovated heritage building in the heart of the Sydney CBD. There seemed to be more staff than guests and they went out of their way to say hello and ask if you needed anything. On arrival we were given a short tour of the hotel and explained how the "Living Room" is a communal area with concierge and wait staff who serve complimentary snacks and refreshments including a cocktail or wine between 4:30pm and 5:30pm. Needless to say that was very popular with the guests! The indoor pool (25 deg C) and gym area is first class and included a big spa pool (35 deg C), communal sauna. Plus mens and womens bathroom each included a sauna, steam room, and experience shower. I liked the creative Australian theme, mood lighting, art pieces and wall garden. Our stay was very calming and felt refreshed afterwards.

We stayed at Capella Sydney to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The hotel itself was beautifully fitted out, the common spaces were a lovely mix of bright and airy and cozy charm, the rooms were spotless and there was every amenity that you would expect from a 5 star hotel. The team at Capella Sydney were so friendly and welcoming, very attentive. They definitely know how to do service well. There was a welcome drink on arrival and also an hour of what they call the 'Afternoon Swill' where all guests are treated to an alcholic beverage and canapés. The swill of the day was a Eucalyptus Gimlet. Highly recommend a stay at Capella Sydney for local staycations or tourists alike.

At time of writing, seemingly the best hotel in central Sydney. Helpful, unobtrusive staff. Restful, tasteful decor in the property, with well-appointed, comfortable rooms. We had an incredible 3 night long weekend stay at the Capella! Honestly both my partner and I agreed - it was easily the most complete hotel experience we've ever had! Pure luxury and opulence - the perfect getaway. The staff and service at the Capella was absolutely first class - without exception - everyone was extremely attentive and polite but never overbearing. On arrival we were suprised with a lovely gesture of a room upgrade and an amazing little cake & balloon suprise in our room to celebrate my partners birthday. This was a special touch to our weekend away, and very much appreciated. The hotel and it's facilities were to put it plainly "impeccable". As soon as we stepped in, it felt like we walked through a portal into another world - one of absolute luxury. Our room was extremely spacious and decked top to bottom with all modern luxury conveniences that you could need. You could easily stay a week without ever leaving the room if you wanted, pure opulence. Breakfast - always a highlight for us - was extremely high quality and had plenty of options both via the buffet or via a la carte menu In terms of location - the Capella is in a perfect spot. You can walk, access the train station at Circular Key, or jump on the tram/light rail. All of these options are perfect in getting to any shopping, attractions or restaurants. We can't wait to return to the Capella and will be recommending it to all our friends and family.

The property is very luxurious. Cannot complain about the hotel etc. The room was huge and great. Staff also excellent Breakfast excellent however room service food was average. The bed is extremely soft and i sunk in my spot - poor sleep as a result. They also only provide one doona - no sheet and it was either boiling hot (with donna on) or freezing (with doona off). There was also a sensor light that came on in the middle of the night if you got out of bed - two each side of the bed under the bedside table and one in the bathroom - NONE of them turned off for at least ten minutes and this isnt an exagerration. Had to ask reception to disable the sensor - not sure if they did as we resorted to coverind the sensors with pillows. The hotel is great - the food hit and miss, the sleeping conditions terrible.. Would I return? Not for the price

Beautiful hotel. Old education building transformed into a magnificent CBD hotel. Lovely, attentive staff. Comfy beds, spacious room. Good location within walking distance to Opera House. But, if your room is in the inner circle, you have no view except into rooms across the way and vice versa. So drapes have to be closed 24-7, creating a dark atmosphere.

We had an incredible 3 night long weekend stay at the Capella! Honestly both my partner and I agreed - it was easily the most complete hotel experience we've ever had! Pure luxury and opulence - the perfect getaway. The staff and service at the Capella was absolutely first class - without exception - everyone was extremely attentive and polite but never overbearing. On arrival we were suprised with a lovely gesture of a room upgrade and an amazing little cake & balloon suprise in our room to celebrate my partners birthday. This was a special touch to our weekend away, and very much appreciated. The hotel and it's facilities were to put it plainly "impeccable". As soon as we stepped in, it felt like we walked through a portal into another world - one of absolute luxury. Our room was extremely spacious and decked top to bottom with all modern luxury conveniences that you could need. You could easily stay a week without ever leaving the room if you wanted, pure opulence. Breakfast - always a highlight for us - was extremely high quality and had plenty of options both via the buffet or via a la carte menu In terms of location - the Capella is in a perfect spot. You can walk, access the train station at Circular Key, or jump on the tram/light rail. All of these options are perfect in getting to any shopping, attractions or restaurants. We can't wait to return to the Capella and will be recommending it to all our friends and family.

We stayed at Capella Sydney to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The hotel itself was beautifully fitted out, the common spaces were a lovely mix of bright and airy and cozy charm, the rooms were spotless and there was every amenity that you would expect from a 5 star hotel. The team at Capella Sydney were so friendly and welcoming, very attentive. They definitely know how to do service well. There was a welcome drink on arrival and also an hour of what they call the 'Afternoon Swill' where all guests are treated to an alcholic beverage and canapés. The swill of the day was a Eucalyptus Gimlet. Highly recommend a stay at Capella Sydney for local staycations or tourists alike.

I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Sydney. The customer service was above and beyond and we honestly did not want to leave. From the amenities -pool/steam room, the gorgeous room and the breakfast, everything was wonderful. The concierge services provided by Natalie made our trip even more memorable. The attention to detail in this hotel is like no other. We will definitely be back to visit.

Loved our stay at Capella Sydney! Right from the moment our cab pulled up and all the way through checkout, the service was warm yet professional. It’s also a beautiful sandstone building that has been lovingly restored with the Atrium right at the heart of it. Great location too. We can’t wait to return.

A beautiful hotel, the decor & styling made it feel homely, on a grand scale. The rooms are a good size & well appointed with lovely bath & toiletries. Dyson hairdryer etc. The gym, pool sauna & steam area is superb, you could easily spend 3 hours in the wellness space. The qrcode to gain access to a Pilates workout is great. The Library offer afternoon free drinks from 4:30_5:30 which was pleasant. Staff are professional & kind. Breakfast which was incl was high quality & a beautiful environment. It is expensive to stay so I suppose you expect something great, especially as there’s no harbour views (well from our 2nd floor room) I’m gold level with Hotels.com which means room upgrade, early late checkout, if available. I wasn’t acknowledge or offered any of them & not one to ask (if you don’t ask you don’t get) Another strange thing, we wanted valet but missed & didn’t see entry so drove around block & ended up parking at Wilson’s car park next door. There’s no doorman so you struggle with your bags up stairs then look for reception. The same when you leave. You pay your account then you’re off on your own to exit… I found it a little strange Location is perfect for Sydney CBD

This property is elite. The staff is amazing- Johnathan and Marie in particular were so helpful when it came to suggestions on things to do and helping us make bookings. The property is spotless, the rooms are huge, the food and drinks are excellent. We loved the breakfast and evening canapés. Highly recommend, and planning on returning as well.

Beautiful hotel, friendly and helpful staff, room was lovely, spacious. Overall we had a wonderful stay at Capella. One area for improvement we would suggest is the quality of the breakfast buffet, some of the food were cold and some the pastries were undercooked. Despite this, we would be back next time we are in sydney.

We stayed in a suite for six nights and I can honestly say this is the best hotel we have ever stayed in . The staff helpful and polite , nothing was too much trouble . The food in the Brasserie was so good we ate there two nights . Total luxury , we will be back .

Classy, arty vide, excellent food, great customer service. Exceptional renovated heritage building in the heart of the Sydney CBD. There seemed to be more staff than guests and they went out of their way to say hello and ask if you needed anything. On arrival we were given a short tour of the hotel and explained how the "Living Room" is a communal area with concierge and wait staff who serve complimentary snacks and refreshments including a cocktail or wine between 4:30pm and 5:30pm. Needless to say that was very popular with the guests! The indoor pool (25 deg C) and gym area is first class and included a big spa pool (35 deg C), communal sauna. Plus mens and womens bathroom each included a sauna, steam room, and experience shower. I liked the creative Australian theme, mood lighting, art pieces and wall garden. Our stay was very calming and felt refreshed afterwards.
