The Circus Hostel

Foi massa demais, as meninas da recepção sao umas fofas, destque para as brasileiras, a Luciana principalmente! Uma fofa e de um astral super!! Sobre o hostel tem bar no subsolo, quase que secreto, e as instalações sao otimas, ficam em frente a uma estação de metro e tram (bonde).

Had a free luggge locker room to drop luggage off. Staff were super friendly and answered any questions I had. Space was clean and tidy, lots going on nearby.

Amazing location. Clean rooms and fantastic staff. But no kitchen or common amenities.

Booked a quiet, comfortable and spacious single room for four nights. The shared bathroom was clean and never busy. The staff were friendly and very helpful, especially with questions about getting around Berlin. There wasn’t a guest kitchen but there was a free breakfast buffet from 8am until 1pm daily.

Staff was amazing, rooms good and clean. Nice little bar downstairs. Literally a tram stop right out front and lots of bike and scooter options within meters.

Perfect hostel for a solo traveller! Reception staff were lovely. Could hire bikes for €12 a day. Immaculately clean throughout. Bed was comfortable with a huge locker for belongings and a personal cubby hole with USB chargers. Hostel was in a great location with the underground and tram station right outside. Offered free walking tours which I did and really enjoyed. Very secure with keycard access required everywhere. Had its own bar with micro brewery where I made some friends. I really enjoyed it there for my first time as a solo traveller.

I stayed for 3 nights with a friend. The stay was good and the hotel is located near many restaurants and next to a train station that makes it easy to go places The best part about it is the bar in the basement which makes it convenient to grab a drink and meet other fellow travelers. I made some new friends there. They bar has their own beer which was pretty tasty to be such a small brewery.

First solo trip stay. Was a bit skeptical leading up to it however pleasantly surprised since the room was fab. Bunk bed was comfy and I fit being 6’4”,cubby hole to stash stuff with two usb ports for charging or a book etc. Showers just down the hall were clean and the shower had plenty of pressure behind it. Hostel bar downstairs was good fun to have a bit off a social. The location was great, on a metro line or a short walk from Alexander Platz (10-15mins) with good food options around the hostel Would stay here again totally

Das Frühstücksbuffet hätte etwas mehr Auswahl sein können. Teilweise wurden die Tische vom vor Besucher nicht abgewischt und waren noch voll Krümel oder Flecken. Der fussboden im Café sah nicht so aus als ob der täglich gereinigt wird. Das war etwas unapettlich.

Un hostal contemporáneo, limpio, diferente y muy conveniente. Sin duda, me volvería a quedar ahí.

Room (slept in a shared dorm) was quite warm, and the bathroom facilities did not smell amazing, although they appeared clean and well maintained. Staff were friendly and the building itself was quite nice, and I felt safe staying there.

Right in front of U8 station! So easy to get around Berlin!! I found this hostel to be extremely clean and convenient. Thank you :)

We chose to have breakfast out. But we loved our room which was immaculate, clean. Staff were brilliant, helpful and bi-lingual.

Die Lage ist fantastisch. Sehr gute Anbindung an den Bahnhof, mehrere Tramm und U-bahn Linen dierekt vor der Tür. Dadurch leider auch etwas laut. Es gibt nur Gemeinschaftsbäder. Also zwei Unisexduschen mit jeweils zwei Duschkabinen und ein Damenklo und ein Herrenklo mit jeweils zwei Kabinen. Das kann bei voller Belegung aller Zimmer eng werden. Es wurde aber m.W. täglich geputzt. Die Betten waren wie in dieser Preisklasse erwartbar, etwas steif aber durchaus in ordnung. Ein großer Nachteil ist, dass in das abschließbare Fach kein großer Koffer passt. Sodass diese doch viel Platz im Raum wegnehmen. Und die schwer zu öffnende Tür. Das Personal war immer sehr nett und hilfsbereit.

Für eine Nacht absolut in Ordnung. Das Parkhaus ist sehr sicher und recht günstig für die Lage. Leider unglaublich laut. Gerade in der Nacht viel Geschrei und gerenne auf den Fluren.

We stayed in an apartment and we loved it. We would stay here again. Fab location. Great staff. Especially great for young people but worked well for us over 40. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed. It was nice to have coffee for the morning. The bed was comfortable and a good size for two adults. The only thing to improve is temperature control. The room faced east and warmed up the big windows fast and there is no A/C. So we managed ok balancing working the blinds with getting fresh air. It would have been nice if temperature were easier to manage in that apartment.

Great location of Berlin, clean modern room, balcony for people watching. Only opportunity for improvement would be the temperature of the room (a little warm for sleeping).

GOOD; The staff are amazing and the place looks brand new, with comfy bunk beds. The cafe downstairs is really nice, has nice breakfast and good coffee, public transport is right outside. BAD; My usb by my bed was pushed into the wall so I couldn’t use it to charge my phone on top bunk. No aircon, and it was soo hot all 8 ppl in the room couldn’t sleep. We had a small fan in the room that didn’t reach the top bunk. The noise outside the window was sooo loud! Could hear the ambulances in the middle of the night going pass several times a night and the tram going pass. Sound proof windows are needed. Bathrooms are relatively clean, the soap never foams in your hands, felt like I haven’t washed my hands after several days.

Room was pretty small and the mattress sucks.

Nice and easy check-in. Even easier check out. Right near the U8 line and multiple tram lines to get around town. The only downfall of room 201 was the first bunks seen when opening the door; the top bunk has a bad mattress (springs are too worn) and the USB charging ports don’t function.

The hostel is nice and clean, and with a great location. The 3 stars is due to the poor service we got, when we had to switch apartment because there was no heat in any of the radiators (we spend the first night fully clothed and with 2 duvets). Long story short: we agreed to move to another hotel, first a double room that were simply to small, and at last (due to 1 nice receptionist), an apartment which was not initially suggested since it was more expensive. The space and at least a fridge was important to us because we have a small baby and spend all evenings in. But the fight continued - we had to pay for breakfast again, because it was more expensive at the new hotel (same owner). We tried to meet them half way and asked them for a breakfastplate so they could reconcile the food and the money, but that was not an option either. Somehow, their mistake (an apartment without heat) became our job to fix. We lost an afternoon waiting for them to either refund the pricedifference from apartment to a room or find us an apartment. I've worked in the hotel business myself: if there is something unacceptable about the room (heat is quite essential in the middle of october), you switch the customer to an equivalent room or a nicer room if an equivalent is not available. The price difference is your problem, not the customer. You promised an apartment and breakfast, and we payed for it and expecet to get just that. I have never felt so unwelcome in such nice surroundings.

Good location for public transport, or about a 20-30mins walk to all the major sites. Reception were super friendly and gave us great recommendations on places to eat and visit.

Had an emergency while staying here and the staff was kind and accommodating! So lucky

Every time I stay at The Circus Hostel I have top notch service and care. The staff is so wonderful and so easygoing that it made our stay feel like hanging with old friends.

위치도너무좋고시설은더좋아요 방안에 샤워실있으면 밤늦게씻기불편한데 여긴따로있어서 신경안쓰고씻을수있어서편해요 지하철역바로앞이여서 어디를가든 편하게갈수있어요 다음에가면또묵을예정🙂

Das Hotel ist von der Lage her super.Denn man kann mit der M1 direkt zu den Hackeschen Höfen oder zur Friedrichstraße fahren. Das Hotel selbst ist alternativ gehalten und einen TV sucht man auf dem Zimmer vergebens. Die Zimmer sind sehr geräumig und sauber. Das Bett hat eine gute Härte. Das Personal ist superfreundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Frühstück ist für 8,— sehr günstig und dennoch sehr lecker. Unser Favorit waren die kleinen Bretzeln….die sind den bayrischen ebenbürtig.

BAD; My usb by my bed was pushed into the wall so I couldn’t use it to charge my phone on top bunk. No aircon, and it was soo hot all 8 ppl in the room couldn’t sleep. We had a small fan in the room that didn’t reach the top bunk. The noise outside the window was sooo loud! I particularly liked the hostel's character and the location. The proximity to public transportation, while located on a relatively quiet street with plenty of charming places to enjoy a coffee or a branch within 1-2' walk distance. Breakfast was also great, with plethora of protein, carbs and vitamin-loaded options. And maybe I was lucky, but in these 3 days and nights I stayed there, every single staff and guest i saw in room, lobby and breakfast area were all looking and acting in a social and very sharp style.
