Sweet 1 bedroom ground-level Garden Suite

I have stayed here before. I chose it again because it's perfect for me. I come to Victoria every so often to visit friends but prefer to have a place to myself. I had a car so the location was fine. Parking is not an issue. I walked the trail at the Cedar Hill Golf Course (one block away) a number of times when I was there. There are lots of pots/pans/dishes/cutlery/bowls etc. You can get your streaming apps on the TV. I'm a bit of a CNN fan so was happy to find it was available. I needed new batteries for the TV remote and the owner got them to me right away. Bed was comfortable. Light was bright enough for reading and I like that you can turn the overhead ones off from the bed. I'd be happy to stay again.

We really enjoyed our almost two week stay at Greg and Keni's place. We loved the location just down the street from the Cedar Hills nature trail and easily accessible to many stores and other services. The unit has been recently renovated and is well appointed. The kitchen was very well stocked with dishes, cooking and baking supplies and utensils. Appliances, including a are new and work well. We really appreciated having a dishwasher and washer/dryer. The bed was quite comfortable and there is plenty of closet space. We were there during a cooler time of year but the unit never felt cold or damp which we were very happy about. The patio would be a lovely place to sit in warmer weather. I feel it is a big advantage having hosts that live on site. They are better able to address issues in a timely way and pride of ownership is evident. There were no significant issues, but the little questions or requests we had were answered almost immediately. Thank you Greg and Keni for a lovely place to call home during our stay.

Spent a week in this cute little cottage like setting. Very newly updated and very clean. Kitchen was well stocked with all you would need to cook with. Bathroom was very spacious as well as bedroom. Great TV if needed. Comes with free parking.

We very much enjoyed our stay in Greg and Keni’s suite. The suite is very well lit, clearly a lot of thought has gone into the lighting design. The morning sun lights up the kitchen beautifully. The kitchen had everything we needed (and much more that we didn’t). We were there a little early in the year to make much use of the patio, but it was very nice on a couple of warm days. Greg and Keni were very respectful of our privacy, but were available when we needed them. When we had an issue, they did everything they possibly could to deal with it.

Exceptionally clean and comfortable place that has everything that you might need! Greg and Keni are great to deal with and are very accommodating. The place is tastefully decorated, the kitchen is very well stocked, and the garden is beautiful. We truly enjoyed our stay there and would definitely stay again!

We chose this property because of the photos and excellent reviews. The hosts were helpful when needed but left us alone otherwise. A surprise delivery of fresh strawberries was very thoughtful. The apartment is nicely decorated and was immaculate and well stocked with dishes, towels etc. The washer dryer worked well. We walked the trail around the nearby golf course and it was lovely. There’s a stop for bus 25 almost across the street and we used it on the days we wanted to go downtown. A daily pass was $5.00. We did have a rental car and it was needed for trips outside the downtown area. The bus does not come frequently so it’s good to plan around the arrival time but wise to be there early. The driveway is steep so back up slowly. We were very happy with our stay at this property. Hosts were super!

A perfect suite with everything you could need/want. Plenty of dishes, cutlery, pots, pans, bowls. Full kitchen and fridge with freezer. Good size TV that also has Netflix/Prime etc that you can log into. Iron, ironing board, hair dryer. Comfortable bed with extra quilt and blankets. I had some trouble with the remotes because I didn’t follow the directions properly. Greg came and kindly helped me to get things working. Suite is exactly as pictured. I had a car and parked right in front of the house on the street. Other than a bit of an incline up the driveway there are no steps to enter suite so would likely be ok for someone with mobility issues. I would definitely stay again.

Nicely layed out property with a private entry and patio. Close to everything but on a quiet street. In suite laundry, the washing machine was being repaired so our hosts made sure we knew we could have access to thiers if we needed it. Comfortable bed with nice linens and extra pillows and blankets. Lots of towels supplied and lots of places to store and tuck away our stuff. Kitchen could use more spices and supplied coffee filters but it's beautifully set up otherwise. We very much enjoyed our stay.

As a regular long stay traveler (2 weeks here) I can highly recommend the Cedar Hills Garden Suite.Greg and Keni have created a comfortable and quiet space (it's just as nice as it looks in their photos) perfect for a single or couple in the heart of Victoria. It's an easy 10-15 minute drive to anywhere in greater Victoria (shopping and dining options are just minutes away), and there are bus stops going downtown close by. Closer to home there is access to the tranquil all-weather Cedar Hills Golf Course Trail at the end of their street (be sure to walk the half mile to the duck pond at the north end!).The suite has been well designed to take advantage of the available space. It was immaculately clean, the bed was quite comfortable (even with my bad back), the kitchen is modern and was fully equipped, the bath is modern, the washer and dryer (located in a small closet in the bedroom) are new, the wifi signal was strong throughout, and the viewing options on the large TV were good (I mostly streamed Netflix and Disney ). The suite entry is from a quaint small private patio (the hosts only came into the yard when I was gone to clean the patio and to mow the lawn).Greg and Keni were gracious hosts, showing me around the suite when I arrived (they provide a small booklet detailing the suite's features) and going out of their way to help me with a few things during my stay.

The Garden Suite suited all our needs during our stay in Victoria. We loved the accessibility to a lovely walking trail and the cleanliness of the premises. We would definitely stay there again.

We appreciated how responsive the owners were. The place was super clean, pleasantly decorated, had good wifi and was conveniently located. The kitchen had everything we needed and more. Loved our stay!

Property is very nice as advertised and hosts are attentive. Be aware that the rental is in the walkout basement of the home and so heavy foot traffic can be heard sometimes early in the morning.

The property is a good home base for touring the island.Clean rooms, great shower and comfortable bed. Adequate kitchenware and appliances for basic meals. There was some foot noise above the bedroom during the evening hours but nothing too crazy. We would consider staying again.

A perfect suite for my husband and I while visiting family in Victoria. Very clean and such a comfortable bed. Nice neighbourhood with a lovely walking path around a golf course right at the end of the street. Walking distance to a couple of large malls. Greg and Keni were there to answer any questions but never intrusive. Looking forward to a return visit!!

Unit was clean and well appointed. Location was great and centrally located. Walking trail around golf course was very nice. Our only concern was that there was flooring squeaking above our bedroom early in the mornings. Light sleepers may be affected.

Great little place. If we ever travel to Victoria in the future, will definitely look up the availability of this place first. It was a little warm at night, but cooled down later in the evening.

Unfortunately, the bedroom was under the owners' kitchen and they seemed to like getting up at 5am and wear shoes to walk around on a wooden floor. Despite there being a request for quiet time from us after 10pm, our request to them for a little more quiet in the early hours of the morning went without response.

Our suite was nice, bright and comfortable. It is conveniently located. We particularly liked the access to walking trails at the local golf course - and of course the golfing also.Greg and Keni were pleasant and easy to deal with.We will be back.

Enjoyed the location near the lovely golf course and the hiking trail around it. Good grocery stores within short distance. People were friendly and helpful too. Parking downtown was a bit of a challenge so we used the excellent bus system which turned out to be easy to use and we were able to access it near our VRBO. A pleasant stay Thank You

The location was perfect for me as I was working at the music conservatory - it was only a 5-6 minute drive. Also easy access to UVIC, Hillside mall, and other amenities. The suite was very nice and as described online. No noise from upstairs or neighbours. I would recommend it to friends.

We were moving our son into UVic so the location was very convenient. It was large enough for the three of us until he moved into his dorm room. We enjoyed walking around the golf course at the end of the block.

This location is walking distance to family members. Good transit service.

Die Wohnung ist sehr schön und enthält alles Notwendige für einen Urlaub. Wir haben die Zeit dort sehr genossen und die Vermieter sind sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Einzige Einschränkung ist für Urlauber ohne eigenen PKW gegeben - die Bushaltestelle ist zwar sehr nahe zum Appartement gelegen, die Busse fahren aber nur stündlich und nicht immer pünktlich. Einmal fuhr der Bus 10 Minuten zu früh ab - was ärgerlich ist, bei der stündlichen Taktung.

I booked this location for my parents. They said the location was fantastic and totally enjoyed their stay.

Great place to stay for an extended period of time. You have all of the amenities as if you are at home. If you happen to be studying at royal roads this is a great location as you are against rush hour traffic. Also for the runners, not only is there cedar park trail but a few km away is Swan Lake which was a lovely running spot. Really lovely space, everything in good working condition, clean, quiet, all the good things.
