We were attending a conference in the hotel next door so shared a three bedroom apartment. It was spacious well appointed and clean. Access was very secure and although not aware there was additional cost, I was glad to be able to have my car parked underneath as we had no need for it. The only downsides were that we had to wait 45 mins for our room to be ready and also due to construction work being done next door, there was noise disturbance through the night. Overall a great location and value for money.

We had no hot water in the apartment, bed was uncomfortable, missing remote for TV in the bedroom and 1 lift was out of order making impossible to travel from our apartment to ground without walking down the fire stairs. Very expensive for 1 night given the awful experience. Try and avoid if possible.

Apartments looking tired with dated shower in need of revamp especially. Yes currently surrounded by construction but didn’t bother us. Still a great location for quick travels around city sights. Staff average along with rooms. Convenient parking onsite.

Great place to stay, location is great amd the 2brm, 2 bath suite was very comfortable. Property is a bit tired and needs a good update. Cleanliness needs a bit of attention, but when the issue was raised with reception, they got on to it straight away. Lakeside view was amazing.

The original room we were placed in had experienced a kitchen sink leak and flooding and the room smelt terrible and of mould. We were moved to a new room from Level 15 to Level 4. The room was much better but closer to the main road and noise and had no view.

The property is old and very dated, which doesn’t bother me, but it was dirty also. I’m sure the cleaner has NEVER set foot on either of the balconies The mug were dirty and very stained from what looks like years of being used and not cleaning Not enough blankets for the cold weather

Property is very dated and poorly maintained. Our room was not very clean. It was very hot in the room when we arrived and the air conditioner was extremely noisy. The remote control had jam(?) smeared over it and the other remote had flat batteries. The ceiling fan in one of the bedrooms wouldn’t work. The bathroom was very old, the shower head was so low that I couldn’t stand underneath it. No powerpoint access to one side of the bed even though they sat a lamp on the table. The soap dispenser in the bathroom was empty.i wouldn’t stay here again. Very expensive for a very basic room.

We paid for a 2 bedroom lake view apartment. We were put on level 1 with no view except oleander trees no view at all of the lake. Ordered room service the first night when it came it was cold and tasted terrible. Very disappointed won’t stay there again

Bathrooms are outdated, toilet in master bedroom keeps making water filling noise, a bit refurbishment would make big difference. The electronics and switches in the kitchen are making sparky sounds, might need an inspection by electrician. Otherwise it’s a very specious and nice appartment for the family.

After checking in we went to the room on the 11th floor - upon opening the door the strong smell of stale cigarette smell in the first thing that hits you, walking through the apartment was so disappointing- marks on the walls, mouldy shower curtain, marks on the walls, you couldn’t sit outside on the balcony as it was filthy We advised the front desk, and the response was housekeeping wasn’t available on Sundays!! Tried to explain that husband had a double lung transplant and mould is hazardous to his health. But it fell on deaf ears.. do not stay here

A wonderful stay in a hotel with three key factors - location, location and location. From the view over Lake Burley Griffin, to walking distance to cafes and restaurants, and a short Uber to all of the sights, the BreakFree was fantastic. The room was excellent and had all required amenities for two couples to stay.

The support was fantastic and the 2 bedroom unit was huge with amazing views. Some road noise at night but all in all it was a great place. Very few places open for dinner nearby but that’s not on the venue. Thank you for our stay.

Excellent place to stay while visiting Canberra and surrounds. Super close to Cultural precinct and shopping and amenities. It is an ApartHotel so full kitchen facilities.
