Facility is good, has a heated swimming pool and a gym. Wood fire pizza from rooftop restaurant is so tasty. Location is good, easy access to everything by car. However, the bathroom needs to have hooks for towels if you want customers to reuse towels. Also if the rooms have balcony it would add extra layer of comfort.

I had a plesant stay, Its was an easy walk to Braddon shops and Canberra Centre. The pool was good for laps. The gym was ok. Both were open 6am-10pm Parking was full, however street parking is ok on weekends.

Ok hotel in great location, close to Light rail. The hotel itself is pleasant, rooms comfortable - not huge. Service is very good, staff all very helpful. Negative points: The carpark is nearly always full and very hard to find a carpark. The lovely rooftop bar is almost impossible to get into as it always seems to be booked for private functions on the weekends. I feel this is why the carpark is always full - attendees of functions.

The customer interaction and service was really good. Our room only had one since in the bathroom meaning there was limited access to fresh drinking water and the tap position made it hard to fill up bottles of water. They had a sizable gym, but unfortunately, the gym also had a lot of equipment that was broken and unusable.

I loved my stay at The Rex Hotel. The room was very nice and clean. I tried, and really enjoyed, the room service. The rood top bar is super pleasant. I also liked that there was a gym and a decent size swimming pool, yes they are not in the same building but it's super close and it didn't bother me.

Good location, a short walk from Braddon's shops and bars. The room is comfortableand well equipped but the cleaning is not to a high standard, there were long hairs around the sink and grubby marks on the toilet wall. Parking is a bit limited. The rooms do not include free bottled water but you can purchase downstairs. The free hotel Wifi is useless, very week signal and very slow - very frustrating for a business traveller. Staff are very friendly and helpful.

Our stay at the Canberra Rex Hotel was a enjoyable experience The staff were excellent from the moment we arrived till we picked up our bags from storage when it was time to travel to the airport. Th room was spacious, nice Biactus with the tea/coffee supplied. The bathroom was importantly very clean and also spacious, whilst the king sized bed was firm but very comfortable. We wouldn’t hesitate to use the Rex again as our base when in Canberra as the light rail stop is literally across from the hotel entrance and a 3 minute ride to the city with only one stop between th start and end of our journey.

An upmarket hotel, everything was immaculate. Plenty of space in the room, bed was one of the best I have slept in for some time. Not a fault with their room service - quick in response, and fantastic food quality. The only things letting this hotel down, was as a traveler, it was difficult to unpack my luggage and to get it inside to my room, and the parking was minimal on the side of the hotel. Also, a hotel of this quality should have by now, upgraded their TV services to include streaming options rather than just the local TV networks.

Location is very convenient. Hotel can do with a bit of renovation. Carpet looked old and "worn out". Furnitures had a lot of scratched marks. Need a bit of R&M.

This time we had an east facing Mountain View. It was wonderful to have the early morning sun through the large windows in a very comfortable spacious suite. It was quiet even though the hotel was very busy with a wedding.

We stayed in a balcony suite that was roomy and with a large window/door offering a great view. The bathroom was huge with a large walk in shower but a pokey little counter top/basin, (no room for anything). The bed was very comfortable and the linens were new and clean. In our room th A/C unit was clean, but very noisy so we didn't run it at night. Thanks for the complimentary drink on Level 6. We also enjoyed one full breakfast in the restaurant and one take away breakfast roll and coffee, both were tasty and hot. It has been five years since we were here last and it is great to see all the renovations are done.

I think the "Pending" deposit should be cancelled as soon as possible following checkout. Some other places, it's returned within an hour of leaving. 4 hours after checkout and it's still listed as "Pending" in my account. If it's taken immediately on checkin, it can't be that difficult to cancel once the room is checked.

The staff at the Rex are simply wonderful. It's my first choice for Canberra accommodation and feels like a home away from home. My only real gripe is with the overpowering deodorising scent that is pumped out in the public spaces. It's an unnecessary use of chemicals (unless it's covering something?), headache producing and not great for folk who are scent sensitive. Please, please remove it or at least, dial it right back. It was coming into my room by the end of my stay.

No where to park securely. Paid for three rooms and was told find your own parking somewhere. Terrible service as far as parking goes. Rang room service as we needed a wine glass in the room. Was told yes we have one, come down to reception and pick it up. Huh! I thought it said room service. Lady at the front counter was lovely Chimi or similar, but her male counterpart was rather rude. Rooms were nice but unless they do something about the parking I'll go somewhere else. Also old mate at the front corner with the fashionable eyebrows needs and attitude adjustment.

Overall good value. Parking comes first in first serve - obviously not enough for the number of rooms. Security and front desk were great. One thing to consider - if you only take 1 room and it has an adjoining door to another - good luck getting any sleep if they have kids or their alarm goes off for an hour!

It's a nice hotel, staff was friendly and approachable. Top floor restaurant was closed during both nights, so that was unfortunate. However, the bar was open so we were able to grab dinner. Room was in great condition and clean. Would stay again.

Nice hotel within walking distance to cafes, restaurants and bars. At the edge of the CBD. Good facilities, gym and a pool. Nice room. Modern, clean tv and good shower. Closed the restaurant/bar on the 6th floor for a function without notice on the Thursday. Only discovered on my to the restaurant. No room upgrade or complimentary drink despite being an Expedia gold preferred hotel. Overall would stay again

The bath room has been renovated and everything is neat and clean there. We highly recommand the restaurant on level 6 where offered good food with beautiful sunset view.
