Had a really nice stay at the hotel. The rooms are well kept and the view is awesome! The only complaint I have is that the hotel does not have an elevator. Other than that I had no complaints.

We had a fantastic time at Yellow Bird. The hotel is well positioned in The Gap. Close to lots of restaurants and in between two beaches (Dover and Worthing). Having the pool onsite was a nice touch too for when you were tired of the ocean or waves. We appreciated the cool air conditioning every time we went back to our room and the room was clean and recently renovated. Getting around was easy too on the minibus found just around the corner, which was a great and fun way to get around the island with the locals. Would certainly return in the future.

It was a pleasure staying with the Yellow Bird. The staff was courteous and helpful and the room services were excellent! However, I would have loved if the pool was opened a bit later as they closed off at 9 pm. Would definitely recommend them.

Stayed here for 10 days and it was phenomenal. Easily accessible location the main road is right at the corner to catch a $3 van or bus. There's a parking lot in the back for taxi pickup and drop off. The staff were so sweet and welcoming. The evening bartender was great. Made friends with all of the staff really. The dining area is right in the front and always a bit quiet including the bar with a beautiful view. Everything super clean. Rooms have full kitchen! The only complaint I had was the security aspect of it. When you're in the pool people walk by on the main street and can literally walk right in or walk by and stare at you over the wall which happened a few times with questionable characters. When you have a patio/garden room on the 1st floor essentially anyone can walk onto the premises and to the room patio doors there's no security at the front or a gate its just completely open to anyone had to make sure our patio doors were locked before bed for this reason. Otherwise, really prime location for all things beach, food, nightlife between bridgetown and oistins.

It’s a boutique hotel which is nice. Beautiful view of the bay. Allowed early check in. Room had comfortable bed, good working air conditioner, good water pressure. Office staff were nice. Many walkable restaurants. Pool was small but nice. Nicely priced hotel. Bus stop right outside the property which was nice and felt safe. Area felt safe honestly. Cons: small beach filled with boats that no one swam in however not hard walk to swim able beach (Dover). That said, for families Carlisle beach was much calmer. Restaurant staff on premises were not friendly at all and service was really slow (took 1 hour and 15 minutes to get breakfast). Loud music late from surrounding restaurants. Yellow bird was a wonderful stay! The staff was helpful, accommodating and very friendly. It is located in a perfect location for walking on the gap or the opposite direction. Parking is easy and convenient. We had the ocean view room and it was amazing to wake up to each morning. Also the breakfast was very good, we’re still talking about it a month later!

I regret to share that my recent stay at this hotel did not meet expectations. Upon arrival, I found that the room had not been cleaned to an acceptable standard. The curtains were noticeably dirty, the blanket appeared improperly washed, and the floors had not been mopped. Additionally, the television and its remote were in poor working condition. Overall, the room felt outdated and would benefit greatly from a comprehensive upgrade.

We thought that the hotel was on the beach but it is actually across the road from a small beach and we were advised that it was not a good beach for swimming. The security officer however did an excellent job welcoming us and getting us acquainted with our room. Great value for the cost,,, just really should not be considered beachfront.

Very nice place…clean,comfortable,close to transportation,close to dining,a few feet off the main road,all rooms face the ocean/sea…very nice view from second,third and fourth floors…first floor ocean view is a bit obstructed by the flowering shrubs in the nice garden but this is not an issue especially if you don’t want to walk up stairs( four floors and no elevator). I will definitely recommend this hotel to everyone… The staff is very helpful and quick to respond to any enquiries…

Hubby and I stayed at the Yellow Bird for 2 nights following a cruise. It's a small. boutique hotel, located directly across a small, one lane/one way road, from the beach, which is rather sea-weedy, but with water shoes it's lovely to walk on and goes out to a huge sand bar. Our room was HUGE and very clean, there was the unexpected bonus of a full kitchenette, the bathroom was roomy and appeared recently renovated. The A/C was icy cold and we had an ocean view room with a large balcony. Front desk staff were all super helpful and friendly. The on-site restaurant was immaculate and open to the sea breeze. While our breakfast was delicious, our server was unfriendly and inattentive which was discussed with an accommodating supervisor. The pool was clean, the lounges comfy. The location was perfect, with an easy walk to all restaurants and shops in St Lawrence Gap. Overall, Yellow Bird is a great place to stay!

We had the apartment with the top deck; super practical accomodations that fit 5 of us comfortably, with space to spread out up top and enjoy the tradewinds and views. The apartment was super clean, and tho the couch could use updating, very comfortable with everything we needed to reheat leftovers and prepare breakfast and lunch. The view was lovely, and we spotted sea turtles daily, and quite a few rainbows. Pool and restaurant were both convenient and comfortable. Staff across the board were great, helpful and accomodating. Only didn't give it a five because the unit was directly across from the Dive, which was loud until 4 am most nights. The live band on Thursday night wasn't terrible. At the same time, the convenience to nightlife was great for our adult kids.

We had a wonderful time at the Yellow Bird. We stayed in the suite and had a very spacious mini apartment with a spectacular view. The staff were amazing- friendly and always helpful. The location is very convenient to St Lawrence gap and walkable to many great bars and restaurants.

Nice room, but absolutely not the expected view! Had a ground level room with garden view, not sea view. Contacted the front desk on arrival day and day after, but they were absolutely not willing to change anything, we could pay in. Full for an upgrade!

This will be a mixed review. The best thing was the closeness to the public transportation. Literally outside the door. Great location too being near all the night life at St Lawrence Gap, but this location helped with not really hearing all the night loudness. Check in was a bit of a disappointment. For one thing, there was construction going on that we weren’t aware of until we were there. Our room wasn’t ready at 3 but they did give us a credit at their restaurant to make up for it. Didn’t think the check in gal was very friendly, she was very matter of fact which rubbed the wrong way. Although everyone else we came across as far as staff was exceptional and so nice. The pool did need to be closed due to a glass breaking but they remedied it by letting us use the South Gap Hotels pool which is actually so much nicer than Yellow Birds pool. We did switch rooms during our stay as we wanted a higher floor for a better view. Our first room that wasn’t ready at 3 was comfortable but the bathroom mirror needed to be cleaned better. Second room was better cleaned. It’s definitely a dated property. If we were to visit again I would probably try the south gap hotel which is their sister property and right on the water. The only thing that makes Yellow Bird a better stay is the location to public transportation… They were also really sweet acknowledging my birthday…

The pool did need to be closed due to a glass breaking but they remedied it by letting us use the South Gap Hotels pool which is actually so much nicer than Yellow Birds pool. We did switch rooms during our stay as we wanted a higher floor for a better view. Our first room that wasn’t ready at 3 was comfortable but the bathroom mirror needed to be cleaned better. Second room was better cleaned. It’s definitely a dated property. If we were to visit again I would probably try the south gap hotel which is their sister property and right on the water. The only thing that makes Yellow Bird a better stay is the location to public transportation… They were also really sweet acknowledging my birthday…

The frontdesk clerk was very friendly and welcoming at check-in. The taxi they had arranged to take us to the airport was below average and almost insulting. The price was more than the regular airport taxi. I would think that they would treat their departing guests better and let them leave in a comfortable taxi.

The hotel staff was excellent. Everyone was nice and friendly. They always made sure I was okay. I had a small issue with the water temp a couple days and they kindly addressed it and even compensated me because of it. The hotel is a little dated but very clean! I appreciated the care and concern of the staff ensuring I had a great stay. I would definitely come back. There’s a lot of places to walk to grab food and drinks. There’s even a small convenience store where you can buy liquor, snacks, water and other little items you may need. At night, you can walk to get Gap burgers if you need a bite after partying late. Although the hotel is by the water, this isn’t the side you’d want to swim in. The beach is about 15-20mins away. Always ask the hotel what a taxi should cost. I mistakenly got a taxi and I later found out he (Harry) overcharged me for a 15min ride.

I had an amazing stay at Yellow Bird Hotel! The location is perfect — right in St. Lawrence Gap with beautiful ocean views, plenty of dining options, and easy access to shops and transportation. The staff were incredibly warm, welcoming, and always ready to help. My room was spotless, comfortable, and well-equipped, making it easy to relax after exploring. The surrounding area felt safe and walkable, and I loved being able to step right out to the beach. I would absolutely stay here again!

Stayed here for 10 days and it was phenomenal. Easily accessible location the main road is right at the corner to catch a $3 van or bus. There's a parking lot in the back for taxi pickup and drop off. The staff were so sweet and welcoming. The evening bartender was great. Made friends with all of the staff really. The dining area is right in the front and always a bit quiet including the bar with a beautiful view. Everything super clean. Rooms have full kitchen! The only complaint I had was the security aspect of it. When you're in the pool people walk by on the main street and can literally walk right in or walk by and stare at you over the wall which happened a few times with questionable characters. When you have a patio/garden room on the 1st floor essentially anyone can walk onto the premises and to the room patio doors there's no security at the front or a gate its just completely open to anyone had to make sure our patio doors were locked before bed for this reason. Otherwise, really prime location for all things beach, food, nightlife between bridgetown and oistins.

The Yellow Bird Hotel and its staff is fantastic. Lovely. It is right where the nightlife happens in Barbados which we expected. What we didn't expect is that there is a club right next door that plays incredibly, incredibly loud live music until 2am. If that isn't an issue for you, then it is an ideal to stay.

The room was large and clean and all the staff was very helpful. Restaurant options were well priced and offered good value. We thought that the hotel was on the beach but it is actually across the road from a small beach and we were advised that it was not a good beach for swimming. Only negative is that check-in is not 24 hours and it felt a little shady when we arrived around 11pm. The security officer however did an excellent job welcoming us and getting us acquainted with our room. Great value for the cost,,, just really should not be considered beachfront.

Hubby and I stayed at the Yellow Bird for 2 nights following a cruise. It's a small. boutique hotel, located directly across a small, one lane/one way road, from the beach, which is rather sea-weedy, but with water shoes it's lovely to walk on and goes out to a huge sand bar. Our room was HUGE and very clean, there was the unexpected bonus of a full kitchenette, the bathroom was roomy and appeared recently renovated. The A/C was icy cold and we had an ocean view room with a large balcony. Front desk staff were all super helpful and friendly. The on-site restaurant was immaculate and open to the sea breeze. While our breakfast was delicious, our server was unfriendly and inattentive which was discussed with an accommodating supervisor. The pool was clean, the lounges comfy. The location was perfect, with an easy walk to all restaurants and shops in St Lawrence Gap. Overall, Yellow Bird is a great place to stay!

Nice ocean view from our spacious room, exceedingly kind staff, and we definitely enjoyed the welcome drink upon arrival. We opted to have dinner on site, which turned out to be very good. We were only here overnight and appreciated that it wasn’t far back to the airport.

The attached Restaurant has a Limited Menu and the servers are Not Knowledgeable on their Own Menu I am a Smoker and Found it Inconvenient to walk up and Down 3 flights of Stairs when I had a Open Air Balcony The View is the Draw You cannot beat a View of the Ocean

It’s a boutique hotel which is nice. Beautiful view of the bay. Allowed early check in. Room had comfortable bed, good working air conditioner, good water pressure. Office staff were nice. Cons: small beach filled with boats that no one swam in however not hard walk to swim able beach (Dover). That said, for families Carlisle beach was much calmer. Yellow bird was a wonderful stay! The staff was helpful, accommodating and very friendly. It is located in a perfect location for walking on the gap or the opposite direction. Parking is easy and convenient. We had the ocean view room and it was amazing to wake up to each morning. Also the breakfast was very good, we’re still talking about it a month later!

Really enjoyed this property! The room was in excellent condition with a small kitchenette (stove, microwave, fridge, sink, dishes, coffee maker). We loved our balcony and sea view! Restaurant was really good and this property is surrounded by other great eating-out options. The staff were all very welcoming and accommodating! Would highly recommend!

I dont think a gym was installed in this hotel. Overall Yellowbird hotel was perfect. Friendly and helpful staff. The room was great with a lovely sea view. Cleanliness was excellent. Friendly cleaning staff Sonia was first class. The restaurant good. I recommend ths hotel. Will be back.
