Microtel by Wyndham Baguio

1st world quality condition, cleanliness, and service. Amore Restaurant food quality and service were excelent. Coveniently located next to Victory Liner Bus Terminal.

The hotel is next door to the Victory Liner bus line which was great as we took a bus from Manila. The rooms are large enough for two people to share although not if you have a lot of luggage. The bathroom needs to be updated. The SM Mall is a quick 10 minute walk. There are a few local restaurants on the next street from hotel. A Jollibee close by as well as 7-11. The breakfast was quite good with Filipino menu and salad fixings, not much fruit though. The coffee was the best I’ve had for a coffee breakfast buffet. The restaurant itself serves decent Italian food, I tried the pasta and it was very good. Water cooler in the hallway for guest use came in handy. My only complaint is the Wi-Fi was marginal in the room and often had to go to lobby to use internet.

Staff were very friendly and courteous. On site restaurant Amare which we frequented often was very good. A very nice stay overall.

If you're using Victory Liner to get to Baguio, this hotel is very convenient. Go to the second floor of the terminal and then take the bridgeway to Microtel. Room size was big enough and room was comfy enough. It was surprisingly quiet considering we were near a pretty busy road. It's great that they have free coffee & ice machine in the lobby and water dispensers on all levels. Breakfast was not super fancy but it was quite good and filling (just make sure not to get to the restaurant very late, especially on weekends or holidays). It's good that they provide options: there's always a fish, chicken and a pork/beef option). For non-coffee drinkers, there's hot chocolate, juice and milk (from the cereal station). There's steamed rice & fried rice, 2 kinds of bread (usually pan de sal & sliced sandwhich bread), eggs, cereal, fruit of the day and a simple salad bar. There's usually at least one choice of pastry. Staff was helpful. Water pressure was not very strong but decent. Water got nice and hot pretty quickly. It's good that they are trying to be more eco-friendly with their toiletries but they should change the shampoo/body wash dispenser in the shower. It dispenses enough for washing your hands but to take a proper bath, you need to keep pressing the button for more. Wish we could open the windows more but they probably don't allow this for safety reasons. Walking distance to SM and restaurants. Overall, would recommend Microtel especially if you're taking Victory.

The property is very close to the bus terminal and the City Mall as well as other attractions. The hotel was very quiet and clean and offered a free Filipino style breakfast. They also have a brick oven pizza restaurant which was very good.

Property is going construction due to renovation. And upgrades to the property. Made it a bit inconvenient and would have been nice to have been informed earlier. Hotel is in a decent location to Baguio. I didn’t find value in the piece paid for the hotel.

Our room is pretty dated , especially the bathroom. The breakfast was good, but can be improved. We can hear a lot of noise from the hallway and outside (especially from the Victory Liner Bus Terminal). At the crack of dawn, noises from the bus terminal can be annoying.

Good hotel not much on extras, the buffet could have some more choices and on a few occasiona food not fully cooked. Wifi is spotty at times but could be from the power outages but they had generators.

The staff keep on reminding us about our check out time and it’s very annoying . Moreover we arrived at 2:30 AM and we have to go to a transient homes for 6 hours since they cannot accommodate us . I have to remind them that there were already people checking out around 9 am and still they finally accommodated us at 11 AM. Very unprofessional for an IHG member hotel to think I am an IHG member .

Staff were kind and helpful throughout our stay.

When i arrived the front office person did not greet me. She say hi and even ask the guest back me. That’s rude. They even charge me for the key card. I have been to Microtel Pasay (near MOA) and Microtel Pampanga (SanFernando) they did not even ask for my keycard and did not charge for me. This Microtel Branch was the worst.

Booked a night for my mother. Paid close to 90$ in Expedia. The staff accused my mother of stealing hand towels, mom insisted on them checking her bags, they did not check because they know they will find nothing. For a hotel with rooms not worth the price you pay, THE AUDACITY. Never booking again, will never recommend.

The rooms were kept clean. I have a habit of cleaning all surfaces I usually use in a room, and I find the two rooms all clean. Cleaning supervisors are doing job well done. The security guards were much helpful and friendly, giving welcoming vibes in and out of the hotel. The property is simple, but it gives all the basics of a Microtel. The restaurant servicing its visitors is Amare. The breakfast is so-so OK. They serve it between 6:30 and 10am. Avoid going there after 9:30am. I heard one customer complaining that there was not enough food left at that time. The buffet comprises fried rice, sausages, eggs, daing ( dried and smoked fish) sauted local vegetables dishes (pakbet, string beans, and Kangkong), chicken dish like curry and adobo, customize eggs, salads, soups, fresh fruits (papaya), and 2 kinds of bread with jams and peanut butter. They serve coffee, juice and water. The restaurant staff are Ok. I ordered one medium pizza for lunch and they made me one large size. Yes I only paid for the medium size. The middle of the pizza was kind of soggy, and needed more time in the oven. Remind them to cook it well done. Front desk services can be better. Although most of them are friendly, but they need to smile more or maybe bow their heads when wearing masks. Listening skills can be improved. I found myself repeating with gestures when I go there. There was one incident of no one answering at night, like around 9:50pm.

Everything went really smooth, best hotel I went to so far. Kudos to the hospitality of the employees of this hotel.

Convenient location with bus station next door. Friendly and accommodating staff. Suggestion for management is to put sign on hallways for other guests “observe silence between certain hours” because some guests are just plain rude and loud while walking down the hallway. Thank you

Close to everything

Our favorite place to stay in Baguio. Walking distance to SM, Downtown, City Market and Burnham Park. Many dining options nearby, Amore Restaurant on the hotel premises. Friendly staff.

The hotel was very clean and the staff was very accommodating. The hotel is right next door to the Victory Liner bus terminal (in fact, they are connected with a walk way) and within a very short walk to the SM Mall.

The hotel was in the right place . Next to the Victoria liner bus station. I’ve stayed here meany time and will use it again. The breakfast was fantastic lots of choices

High price compared to the standard. The first room we got had an almost not existing wifi. Then they told us that we could sit in the lobby, but it was very cold there. At last we got another room with wifi that worked. Breakfast was basic and not especially delicious.

The room is clean and tidy every day if you request it by putting the notification on the door. Buffet breakfast on time and has a lot of selections. Hotel service is equally excellent and the location is walking distance to SM City Mall, church and convenient stores.

The check in and the staff are all wonderful!! The breakfast was great. We had a soap dispenser in our room that didn’t work and the sheets on the bed were very stiff, like starchy. We were also right close to the elevator and that made for very noisy nights. Overall, a good stay.
