The arrival staff was disinterested. The staff for the rest of the week was fine. There was no staff on the premises to fix the AC; it wasn’t fixed until the second day. While they had a renovation a year ago, much of the premises had half-finished repairs. There was no bathroom sink stopper and unfinished tile. There were no rails in the elevator, but the holes remained for connecting them. There are holes in walls near the elevator for electrical (lights maybe?). Broken windows in two different doors on the main floor.

Renovations were in progress. No exercise room available. Told rooms were renovated but air conditioner failed, commode tank lid was not for that commode, no hair trap in shower, lamp flickering seems dangerous, breakfast eggs were same for 2 days, carpet and tile were stored on entry driveway.

There was no lobby for checking in because the whole area was gutted and being redone. We were not even sure if it was safe or ok to walk in the front. A staff person came and walked us through, kicking things out of the way for our suitcases to roll. He checked us in at a folding table and sent us down the hall being redone to get to the elevator. A construction worker had to move things out of the way for us to get through. The elevator was tracked with the plaster and other materials from the reconstruction and had the handrails removed in it. We were put on 3rd floor where our room was clean and everything was fine and luckily we could not hear the construction going on. Staff told us we could use the side door to come and go, which we did. However it was not kept locked but left propped open for people to get in and out so security was not as secure as it should have been. All in all, the staff and room would rate very high. Don’t know if free breakfast is available or not but will skip for fear of the dust.

The breakfast was not what the pictures showed. No bacon, eggs and potatoes were dry. Once something was gone no more was made. Manager Jennifer was amazing she helped with anything and everything we needed. Pool was stained and dirty, but it also rained some. Elevator kept getting stuck that was scary.

The room was pretty clean, beds were comfortable but the property in general needs a lot of work. Pool was green and surrounding area needs a lot of clean up. Also there definitely hasn't anybody mowing around the outside in a awhile. Staff was nice and pleasant

The room was good, but the entire first floor was under renovations. You could have breakfast if you wanted to walk around the building and through a construction zone. Second day they shut the elevator down and i had to go up and down 3 flites of stairs.

The bed was uncomfortable and squeaked anytime you moved. The towels had stains on them. The gate to the pool did not lock. There was hardly any furniture at the pool and what they did have was in terrible condition. The bathroom at the pool was out of service. The grass needed to be cut, hedges were in desperate need of pruning and flower beds were full of weeds. We booked a stay for 3 nights. After the second night I asked if we could check out a day early because our softball tournament was cancelled due to the flooding in the hill country. I was told we could not be issued a refund for the third night. To make matters worse, there was another lady at the desk who wanted a room and they didn’t have any available. She offered to pay me for my room and take it and they said we couldn’t do that. We left even though they wouldn’t refund the third night and the other lady didn’t get a room. Others from our team stayed at different properties who refunded them to the extenuating weather circumstances. I will not be staying at LaQuinta for future travel needs, it was a terrible experience. I told them I would not be writing a positive review when we left and they said that’s fine, they didn’t seem to care. I recommend looking elsewhere if you need to stay in Seguin.

Due to renovation there was limited room access. Other than that we did not experience any mishaps as stated in other reviews. They still had the breakfast in the morning. The staff was very helpful with explaining what was going on with the renovation.

The room was clean. Bed linens smelled like bleach, which is good in my eyes. Our problem was the room was very damp to the point where it when you touched the counter it was wet and sticky. The air conditioner worked, but could not pull the moisture out of that room. The next morning, when we went into shower, there were cockroaches in the bathroom

New property conveniently located next to zinterstate 10. Breakfast items are the same as offered at other properties in same class such as Marriott's Fairfield but lacking seasoning of potatoes. Did gurt, cold cereals and waffles equivalent to otber concepts. Biggest concern was prsence of roaches in room which hlpefully is being taken care of by pest control. It was nice to have fast food and sit down restaurants close by.

Hair in the towels, on the bathroom floor, candy wrappers on the floor, toiletries were half used, no reg coffee, and 1 of the 3 decaf packs were was opened and empty. Need to post breakfast times. Stayed there for the hot breakfast but had to leave without as it didnt start til 7am and I had to be on the road by 630

Was woken up at 1am to feel a bug crawling on me (likely a bed bug). Staff was very slow to respond when I requested another room and had to call the front desk multiple times. Took almost an hour to get another room; not what you want when you have an early morning. Hotel is older but cleanliness is certainly an issue. Staff was polite enough but cannot recommend based on my experience.

The overall condition of the hotel was very poor, lots of construction appearing to be going on. Broken ceiling tiles, elevator missing safety rails. The absolute worst condition LaQuinta I’ve ever seen. My room was infested with cockroaches, the carpet was sticky and the room smelled of mildew. Honestly this hotel should be condemned due to all the safety and health violations.

The staff member who was checking me in took a phone call in the middle of our conversation. The room itself was clean, but the rest of the hotel wasn’t. Biggest issue was I didn’t feel safe. Nearly every door on the 3rd floor had been pried open by a crowbar at some point. I noticed it as I was walking down the hall to my room that was at the opposite end from the elevator. In my room, the security ball thing was busted in half, which let my mind know someone had actually gotten in the room when they used the crowbar. Very scary. All night there were kids running down the hall, laughing and yelling. No one answered the front desk phone when I called. The walls were so thin the person next door’s phone rang at 3am and woke me up. Then I was kept up as the whole room began to smell like pot. Breakfast was fine, just needed salsa.

price high for the area. terrible wifi, I had to sign in every time I returned to my room. and the sign on had to be done over and over. when I complained about it. the desk person first fixed it, then the next time the different desk person just said, " well, I can sign on" and that was that. never the same person, when I left. there was no one around so that I could check out. I just left my room key on the desk. no bananas for breakfast ... blah, crummy hotel.

This was a really good stay. The bed was comfy and the shower was hot with good pressure. Everything was very clean and operational. Only thing that could be improved was all of the doors slammed shut and echoed so we were woken early by people checking out from other rooms. Hydraulics could be put on doors to alleviate that.

Wow, this was very convenient. Moving from the university and back. The Internet was ridiculously unstable in the middle of the night. The power went out and the fire alarm came on the juice maker for breakfast didn’t work ever. The pool area needs to be updated. At least the furniture around the pool does and the temperature of the pool was so cold. My son could not stay in more than 30 minutes before he started shivering The pool area also smells like trash, although no gondola is near.

I booked this hotel in error and called within minutes of booking and they refused to refund my money. I live in Canada and booked this hotel in Texas completely by accident. They would not even listen to my reasoning and refused to refund my money. Horrible service

The front desk staff has been very personable and helpful. Especially Jennifer. I think she may be the front desk supervisor. We are visiting our son, and she in particular has been so helpful with recommendations; restaurants, directions, and her local knowledge is so useful. Really helps to have this kind of help. Please give Jennifer an ATTA GIRL, or better yet a great raise$$$. Well done at this La Quinta, Seguin Texas.

Excellent service at the desk. Jennifer was knowledgable of the area, and very helpful to all our questions and concerns during our stay. Jennifer has a very personable, way of service, and an attitude of service. Give her an excellent write up in her review, or better yet back the truck up with a raise$...she is an asset. Also, Santos prepares breakfast each day. Really well done and she is always on schedule, and pleasant with any request. Her food prep is very good. Please give her a very positive write up and review.

I know they are under remodel. It just didnt feel clean. Elevator didnt feel safe, we found trash from previous persons food beside floor near the wall. The front desk wouldnt get off his phone to acknowledge me and acknowledge my check in. Then ahain when i came to fet water fro. The "store" continued talking on his phone. I hate to leave bad reviews this is definitely not a place i will stay again even if there are no other hotels.

It was a nice location, friendly staff, clean. The night staff wasn't available to handle the loud guest yelling and playing or upstairs running over us after 10 pm. Made several calls. Overall we would stay again just had 2 rough nights rest.

Breakfast service left much to be desired. Fell far short of previous experiences. 1. No coffee or tea service at all. 2. Hot selection was extremely poor: scrambled eggs were gone and would not be replenished. Patty sausage was cold and sitting in grease. Potato selection was cold and hard. This was 1 hour into the breakfast service window 6am to 9am. 3. Attendant was indifferent to requests to replenish the selections.

The property was under renovation and the laundry room was out of service. Had to ask several times for towels and to remove trash Eggs and sausage in AM were unedible. Stopped eating there. Traffic and train noise during the night Had more problems with Expedia than the hotel

Our family stayed here for almost 3 weeks while our house was being completed. I have to say, the staff was incredible & always greeted us with a smile. The hotel is on the older side, but still well kept and clean. We had a great assortment of foods every morning & even enjoyed the pool! Thank you to the entire staff that welcomed us & made sure our stay was great 😊

I can bypass the last minute construction. The walls were paper thin and could hear the neighbors on both side. Alarms, TVs, showers, phone ringing. I could hear it all at all hours of the night. Went to enjoy the free breakfast and the juice dispenser was broken. No bottles of juice, no water bottles only coffee to slurp down and I’m not a coffee drinker.
