No pool No gym Inattentive staff. We had a usps sent with important papers for our trip. It arrived monday. They had zero interest in finding the parcel, it was in a po box. Took 3 days.

No room service. They have take out but it comes in boxes. You order at the bar and take the carton to your room. You have to eat out of the carton since no plates were provided. Had no choice. My wife hurt her feet hiking and could not walk and go to the dining room.

Super stay of 5 nights over the July 4th weekend. Room was on 2nd floor facing the town. Afforded us with great view, nice cool morning and afternoon, evening breeze. Were able to view from the balcony the parade on morning of the 5th and then a surprise viewing of fireworks display from a nearby location, all from the balcony. We mostly came up for the cooler air, but got so much more. Hotel has only one guest elevator that was out of service for a few hours. We went out and upon returning found it was repaired. Great job to the management for getting this attended to so quickly. Just a couple of suggestions. First is to get the main entry doors on automatic electric openers. This really should be a priority, comifrom someone that has been involved in hotel construction for many years. 2nd is, and trying to be picky, but the young lady that was attending the bar really would be so much better with a smiling attitude towards the guests. She always appeared to be so busy that it was too much trouble when asked for assistance. Yes, she did the job, but given the bar is a prominent focal point when entering the hotel, the attitude displayed is very much also a focal point. Food for thought. Thank you for a wonderful time. We will return.

Ramp at entrance to lobby is needed to do away with step up. 3. Notify guests at checkin that room key is needed to operate elevator from first floor. I know there is a small sign in the elevator but it could be and is easily and often overlooked. .

Could have been very nice. They were cheap on items. No fan in bathrooms. Shower head was broken. Rooms nice but small. Chairs were uncomfortable. Great outdoor chairs. Breakfast was very mediocre. Overpriced. Charges facility fee. Have no idea what that was for.

Hotel smelled like wood-burning fire. The smoke from the fireplace at the ground level was even noticeable on the 3rd floor hallway and in bed. The window a/c-heater sounded like a loud propeller 2 feet away from the bed. I could not sleep. Otherwise, the location is great, directly off Main Street w all the shops. The staff was super nice and accommodating. The restaurant food was good. The bar and restaurant area was nice. But I would not stay there again due to the smell and noise.

We had the perfect getaway! Hostess Lisa welcomed us and made sure everything was absolutely perfect! Beautiful balcony view, great room, delicious restaurant, live nuisx, friendly and professional staff—the whole package. We parked our car upon arrival and walked everywhere—very convenient location. We can’t wait to return!

The place was just alright. Modern and newly built. Self parking lot was convenient and made arrival and departure very easy. Nice little dining/bar area with a fireplace. Coffee and tea provided in the morning. Breakfast was offered. They do advertise a restaurant but the menu was small and not impressive. This hotel is advertised as one of the highest end options in town. Yes, the hotel seems new. Adequate for a short stay to check out the town and close enough to Boone to drive there when needed. I don't think I will stay here again but glad I gave it a try.

The high ratings on most travel sites for the Embers are well deserved. We found the hotel to be very clean. Ben and Thomas at the front desk were both very courteous and helpful. The only negative was jackhammering in the middle of one night by the NC DOT. But that’s not the hotels fault of course. The restaurant on site is excellent as well as the service. Will be returning!

For a hotel the restaurant/bar was excellent. I appreciated the keycard requirement to use elevator but that fact was never revealed at check-in. I had to rely on another guest for help. Also, a bag of trash from the cleaning crew was left in our room from the previous guest. It was a very nice room with a great bed and shower.

No gross carpet, no drapes that don’t close out sunlight, a balcony with rocking chairs & table, flashlight, large walk in shower, rain head, no fog mirror, nightlight, excellent lighting, nice linens, free bottles of water, refrig & coffee maker. Sheryl at check-in efficient, friendly & informative. Well done!!

We had a great stay here. Staff was very friendly, it’s clean, nice bar area. As others mentioned, the heating/ac unit has a mind of its own. The temp you set it to is arbitrary. The same temp can be way too warm or too cold. Lots of noise from the room above ours so next time I’d get a room on the top floor. Would definitely stay again.

I recently stayed at the Embers for one night and wish I had a longer stay. the location was very private and beautiful. the area around it in Blowing Rock is great, with lots of dining options. the rooms are spacy. I had the single king size room . the bathrooms and showers are just beautiful and they have all the essentials you need. Very Clean, beds are comfortable, coffee water & expresso available in your room. robes and slippers are provided

Staff was friendly and accommodating - even allowed us to check in early. The room had everything desired and more, including a full length mirror, lighted magnifying mirror in the bathroom, and an espresso coffee maker! Would have liked a digital clock in the room.

The front desk person from 3 pm until 11 pm, probably should consider a different career given the obvious torture she appears to be in at work. Our stay is always exceptionally nice, with the exception of any afternoon or early evening contact we are forced to make with the unhappiness at the front desk. Cheers!

Everything was perfect except: the host named Stacy. She is so aggravating, does not belong in the hospitality business. Thankfully she was there the first night only. The others were wonderful.

Excellent stay. Very clean, extremely nice staff (Stacy from Trinidad checked us in and she was delightful), and wonderful location. Dinner was outstanding as well with Epiphany taking great care of us at the bar! Highly recommend!

Staff was friendly and accommodating - even allowed us to check in early. The room had everything desired and more, including a full length mirror, lighted magnifying mirror in the bathroom, and an espresso coffee maker! Would have liked a digital clock in the room.

The high ratings on most travel sites for the Embers are well deserved. We found the hotel to be very clean. Ben and Thomas at the front desk were both very courteous and helpful. The only negative was jackhammering in the middle of one night by the NC DOT. But that’s not the hotels fault of course. The restaurant on site is excellent as well as the service. Will be returning!

Excellent property from top to bottom! Beautiful clean hotel with a laidback vibe! The staff warm, friendly and accommodating. The restaurant was wonderful! Right in historic Blowing Rock. Less than 2 miles from the park! We will be staying here again!

Wonderful new hotel in the best Blowing Rock NC location! Right on Main St. - walk to all shops and restaurants. Also walkable to the Moses Cone house, Bass Lake and many trails. Beautifully updated rooms and lobby. The Embers restaurant food was delicious and the bar was modern and comfortable. All employees were helpful and accommodating. Free water bottles!

No room service. They have take out but it comes in boxes. You order at the bar and take the carton to your room. You have to eat out of the carton since no plates were provided. Had no choice. My wife hurt her feet hiking and could not walk and go to the dining room.

Smells good, very nice rooms, really high quality amenities, and an excellent restaurant with great cocktails and thoughtful wine list. TVs are new and have a built in Roku (idk if it’s actually Roku but you can sign in to Netflix and stuff). Very nice hotel. Google says 3 star but it’s closer to a 4 star hotel IMO.

Everything at Embers was top notch! Staff, property, room, even the dining, which I find most hotel restaurants are mediocre at best. NOT HERE! We can't say enough good about this place! Location was great with other restaurants and shops in walking distance. We will be back!

Excellent stay. Very clean, extremely nice staff (Stacy from Trinidad checked us in and she was delightful), and wonderful location. Dinner was outstanding as well with Epiphany taking great care of us at the bar! Highly recommend!

The place was just alright. Modern and newly built. Self parking lot was convenient and made arrival and departure very easy. Nice little dining/bar area with a fireplace. Coffee and tea provided in the morning. Breakfast was offered. They do advertise a restaurant but the menu was small and not impressive. This hotel is advertised as one of the highest end options in town. Yes, the hotel seems new. Adequate for a short stay to check out the town and close enough to Boone to drive there when needed. I don't think I will stay here again but glad I gave it a try.

Was very clean, staff very friendly. We had handicap room worth balcony and was more than I expected. Close to all the shops and eating places so you can walk. We ate their the first night and food was very good. Had small continental breakfast which was plenty good.
