Like the set up with separate living and bedroom with full kitchen. However, we were on the 3rd floor and the elevator to our wing wasn’t working, and we weren’t informed of this when we made reservation. The front desk person said it had been out for a week. We had to lug our bags up the entire way. To make matters worse is that the wings do not connect so if you go up thru the other wing you have to go down and up the stairs again. This is not a pleasant experience esp for someone w bad knees. The ice machines on 2nd and 3rd floors didn’t work. There was a dirty sock in the bedroom and dirty towel on the closet so probably didn’t vacuum. There was a half finished sprite bottle in the fridge, and the tub was worn and cracked so a bath was not an option. They did give a $40 discount on a $249/night charge (this does not include taxes, fees etc…). I had in the past enjoyed my stays at Homewood, but this was not up to par.

The Hotel was under construction and we were not advised. The drapes were not installed they were on the bed and couch. Dishes were still in the dishwasher. There were not enough towels. There was no shampoo. Ice machines not working. We needed to get it from the kitchen. We were in the 3rd floor. Would like a discount

The hotel was under construction and we were not advised. The wall paper from the walls was hanging. The ac vents were in the floor, the room numbers were on the floor. There was no toilet paper or towels in the room. The hallways and elevators were extremely hot. It was a disaster. We couldn’t get a refund because we booked through a third party. We feel cheated out of our money. Horrible experience. Didn’t expect this from a hotel chain such as this kne.

The property is in need of serious updating. Carpets on the stairs are ripped. Elevator panels are damaged and in some places the call button were pushed in passed the wall surface. Ice machines on all 3 floors were unplugged and pulled away from the wall. Even if in the process of replacing maybe leave one working. Areas around the entry doorway were littered with debris & trash. Shower door leaked and mattress was well past its prime. There were signs posted that they were updating the hotel but not sure where, Poor Homewood it used to be a nice hotel.

This was the best hotel experience I had in not only Laredo, but everywhere else. The room layout is incredible. I really appreciate the room being separated into two sections. Everything else was of high quality, such as the breakfast and pool area.

Decided to overlook the negative reviews given that they were kind of old, but nope! The negative reviews are 100% true and still stand even months later, and even after the renovations. The elevator is still down even a year later, and yup, don't expect breakfast.l at this hotel. Given the amount of complaints there have been about no breakfast, I'm stating to think maybe the franchise owner just doesn't give a 💩 or doesn't want to spend money on providing the "included breakfast"? Oh, and there was no down comforter in the room. The only redeeming qualities were the nice landscaping by the pool area and the renovated room (third floor) was nice. I would not stay here if you're booking for someone with disabilities/mobility issues, as again, the elevator does not work. At check in, we were only told if we wanted to cancel we could due to a non functioning elevator. And the reviews about there not being front office staff are also true. Barely even saw them there.

The room itself was spotless, and the service was excellent. However, I was put off by the presence of a dead cockroach near the entrance and two more in the hallways, which remained there throughout my two-day stay. Needless to say, I didn't feel inclined to have breakfast there. Nevertheless, I must admit that my stay was quite comfortable.

Used to be a great place to stay. It used to be, cause the last 2 times we stayed here, the experience were far from what weve experienced years ago. The room is dirty, you could feel that the carpet wasnt vacuumed in a very long time. The bathtub all scratched and the tap for filling it wasnt there. The bathroom door has no button, the toilet has a leak, the bathroom door is all dirty with something bloodish, i pased a towel and it came red. I was looking for my kids shoe, and i found a 500 mg pill of something and a hair claw clip that wasnt my wife. The table well, unusable, if you put something over it, it just dances, totally broken. They say its a full kitchen but it doesnt have any cutlery. The aisles and elevator smells. Last time was a very close experience to this, our curtains were like gruyere cheese, and all the room was dusty and dirty. I dintbwanted to stay here, but was the only option available. Years ago it was difficult to book here, now, is the last choice. Al least it has no roaches plague like amerik suites.

The property was under substantial construction and renovation. It needs it. They are not planning for mishaps like the electricity was out in the breakfast area and the only thing available was coffee. Breakfast is included in the price; however, they do not provide other options for breakfast when the electricity is off. There are other options to show customers you care. Staff was helpful at check-in but there was no one available to provide help. We found ants on the table in the kitchen area of the room. There were many missed opportunities to provide customers good services under the circumstances.

The Carpet in the room had several plastic tags, as if it hadn’t been vacuumed. When I asked the front desk staff if someone can go and vacuum the room, she said that there was no one on the property, only her. We requested a change in room, and the front desk person was not helpful at all. As we are leaving the room the next day, a cockroach was on the bedroom TV stand! The bathroom floor seemed dirty as well, and it smelled like sewer when we would use the sink. Overall I would NOT recommend this hotel!

The hotel is in a good location and overall it’s good, the room size is great, and it’s pretty clean, but it needs a massive remodel of the rooms. You can tell they’re very old and haven’t been upgraded in decades. Other than that it was a pleasant stay.

The tv in the living room of the room never worked, it was reported without action. Also, our 2 year old found a nail cutter for babies in the floor and when we look down the bed looking for a toy, we noticed that the floor wasn’t vacuumed properly.

First both rooms smelled so bad i had to buy fabrize to make the room smell a bit better and the beds where so horrible we could feel every spring in the mattress the room was so small for it to be a suite i had to move furniture around so my sons wheelchair could fit over all i would not book with them any more.

Property is well kept and its location it’s prime for shopping and gathering with family in the many restaurants close by. Staff was great but unfortunately they would be distracted with their phone; had to wait to be acknowledged. Not terribly bad but needs to be addressed for a hotel of this level. The property makes up for the service. Will stay again!

When we arrived the dishwasher was working for more than 2 hours, I stopped it. The closer door was down. The air condition really noise. Next morning no hot water. No nody answering the phone and the front desk. There were to many little cockroaches on the kitchen. No nody at the front desk for checkout. The front desk lady was talking with the kitchen people, not helping them.

The construction was a bit of a let down. Had to not touch wet paint in different areas. Walking through the hall while they painted the ceiling. Breakfast staff disappeared at some pont before service was supposed to be over. There were no utensils or plates for people to use. She seemed upset when she finally came back. Front desk staff was great. Rooms were decent. My bathroom had a depression that made the toilet bowl seem ready to fall into the room beneath us. The tiles were loose and not grouted. Could cut your foot if you slip n catch the edge of the tile.

This was one of the worst hotels I've stayed at, and its supposed to be a Hilton. We stood in the lobby for a half hour before someone came to help us check in. We had the furthest away room possible. The key I was given was sticky and there were no card holders. All of that could have been tolerated until we started going up to the room. Snaking around the building to get to our room, corners smelled like pee and everything was dirty. The room smelled dirty, the carpet was disgusting with piles of mud in spots. Electrical wires were coming out of the walls. The curtains were dirty with black like soot stains and red stains we didn't even want to try to identify. The bathroom was tiny. I couldnt open the bathroom door and the shower door at the same time... It was bad. Definitely not the king suite I saw in the pictures. We stayed only because of ok t was already 1am when we got their and i had already paid the 200 for the room. It was a horrible experience, do not stay here!

Breakfast was limited to bread, some fruit and waffle dough the morning of our stay due to "staffing issues". They didn't even made an effort to pull out the plates and utensils from the buffet area cabinets. My wife ended up doing that so our kids could have somewhere to place their waffles. The closet sliding doors on one of our rooms were not working. When I tried to open them they almost felt on my feet. I could reposition them and fixed the problem for the next guest.

Phones were statically and unusable. Asked for room near elevator and room given was far from elevator. We were not told when we checked in that no rooms were available close to the elevator. Breakfast was good and room was comfortable.
