The lack of parking, & "expensive" valet only option is not what I preferred traveling for work. The staff worked with me on this which I appreciated after a very long day. The location is fantastic. Very good food options driveable within minutes. SMU campus across the street...also very handy. I highly recommend the breakfast from the on site restaurant. Loved that! If work brings me back here Ill definitely consider staying again! Thank you.

Nice safe area, walkable. Close drive to the things we wanted to do. Pool area closed off so not able to go outside to sit and relax. VERY expensive bottles of water in room, could buy a whole case with lots of change left over from Walmart for this price. Bathroom door was a joke! Noisy and hard to close. Room and facilities were very clean. Would not stay here again for the price. Valet parking was a pain and continually having to tip each time you picked up or dropped off your car.

We came in to an event across the street. The property was easily accessible, small and calm, and had valet parking. The lobby was nice and the pool area was a pleasant place to relax. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, especially Terri at the front desk. Check in was easy. The room was large and comfortable, clean and well decorated. There was a mini frig and safe in good condition. There is a bit of noise from other rooms, closing doors in the hall, and stomping from the room above. However, the A/C has full control so the fan could be left on to mitigate that. Also the surrounding area is quiet. The location is great for SMU, Uptown, Highland Park, and Downtown-very central. Snyder Plaza next door has several eating establishments and gas station with a 7-11. Breakfast and dinner are available on site and the bar open until 10 or 11. Everything is a little pricey, but it is Dallas. Overall this is a great base for a stay in Dallas, very comfortable with pleasant atmosphere.

The people here are amazingly friendly and among the nicest in all of my travels. Loved the pool and the rooftop terrace. the restaurant was also delicious and the staff was amazing. Just keep in mind that parking is Valet only

This was the cleanest and best airconditioned room I have ever stayed in. But....there is NO complimentary coffee, no coffee maker in your room, and no parking. Valet is $40 per each day of your stay. No choice to park on your own! And there is no Smart TV. The rooms are very nice but very dark and the bathroom lighting is horrible! We chose this hotel based off Expedia reviews and the Hilton name, but this is not a Hilton style hotel.

We were disappointed by the hotel. Our room’s toilet kept running and they told us they could not fix it. The staff was helpful and nice. The gym is too small and felt dated with equipment that was old too. The shower floor was extra slippery. We asked for extended checkout time, the person at the desk was polite and accommodating. However when we got back to the hotel later, another employee told us we could not have it. Overall, it was a lot of very good, the staff, and disappointment: the facilities.

We stayed back at the Lumen since last month. Again the location is great for all of Dallas and easy access to Love Field and SMU. Snyder plaza stores and restaurants are walkable. A 7-Eleven open late is right next door. Parking is limited with no self parking anywhere and Valet $35. Valet service however is excellent. The smaller rooms can suffer from the A/C blowing directly on the beds. A drape or vent would correct that. The mid sized rooms are plenty enough and well appointed. All in all very comfy place to rest, and quiet. The price was a little high and there are lots of options in Dallas, but again the location was key. The Front Restaurant needs some work. It is open for breakfast and dinner only. Breakfast was very weak and way overpriced this trip. The bar and bartenders are great, but we did not try dinner after the breakfast experience. A real strength here is the staff. Everyone is pleasant and helpful. Terri, Tanya, and Gilbert at the front desk were great. Julie in sales was most helpful. All said, we will be back next month and post an update.

The hotel is under major renovation. Most of the hotel is roped off and what is open looks like a construction site with temp walls and cardboard taped on the floor. The room was filthy and dirty. Pool and gym were closed. None of this was disclosed. This hotel should not be open while this level of construction is taking place. We left after 30 minutes and booked a different hotel for the weekend. I have requested hotels.com to issue a refund.

The air conditioning did not get cold at night, my husband‘s room stay hot all night through seven days of stay. The drain of the bathroom was not cleaned up. The hair on the floor was not picked up. Besides all that it’s in great location really quiet at night. There stores around the hotel ,really convenient.

Very friendly staff but the rooms need to be cleaned better between stays. I wiped down the bedside table and so much dirt came off I was afraid to look in corners. I am immunocompromised so I was not happy. The public areas of the property looked great.

The location was perfect for the my scheduled activities. Very safe location. Staff were very efficient. The room was 3rd level pool side, which was an additional cost. I would not recommend this if you are wanting a more quiet stay as you can hear the music playing from the pool area. The room was spacious but not completely clean. Stains on the closet doors, dust on light fixtures, shower floor was stained. The bed, bedding, pillows were very comfortable. I did not request an accessible room but that is what I got which would account for the dings and marks on the walls. Overall I would stay here again but request a room not poolside as it is not worth the higher rate.

What a disappointment for $329 per night. Under heavy construction, not sure that was mentioned when booked. Room wasn't ready til 3:30 so had to change in their absolutely disgusting bathroom. No mini fridge in room or any real closet space. Shower water got all of the floor. Great location but too many negatives.

Great Hotel, it was under construction so they are under contract for renovation which is understandable. The shower wasn’t cleaned very well, but other than that great hotel. The staff was amazing from the front desk to the front room dining. Our favorite person was the valley person Moses great guy good energy from beginning to end.

We stayed at this hotel for a few days due to Hurricane Beryl in Houston. The customer service was great the staff were all friendly and accommodating. The room wasn’t as clean as it should have been. I typically clean when I come but it wasn’t in the best condition. The room was a nice size given that we traveled with an infant and needed some extra space. Overall it wasn’t a bad experience the room just wasn’t very clean.

Have stayed here multiple times and highly recommend, especially for anything to do with SMU- walking distance to anywhere on campus. Excellent new restaurant, rooms have always been spotless and comfortable, staff always pleasant and welcoming.

This is not a four-star hotel. The A/C is loud and wakes you up during the night. Water pipes bang during the night. The closet has two or three hangers available. There is noise in the front rooms from traffic on Hillcrest Avenue. Service in the restaurant was poor. Lampshade had hole in it, was hung crooked, and the light bulb was burned out. Furniture was unimpressive. Have been twice billed a "property amenity fee" and have no idea what this is. Over priced and overrated. Will not stay there again.

The staff was very gracious, especially the valet guy! The room was very spacious and the shower was huge! The bed was very comfortable. Our only complaint was there were no USB ports! Those would have been nice!

This property seems like it might have been nice a decade or so ago. It is adequate, but if you're accustomed to staying in nice properties, The Lumen will come up short. It feels dated, the carpets are torn apart, beds are creaky/noisy and lumpy, poor water pressure for the shower and toilets, the doors aren't the correct height so light from the hallways leak under. Additionally, you have to fully step into the shower and close the glass door to turn the water on, so there's no way to stay warm and dry while the water heats up. Time for an update, Lumen! You do have potential.
This property seems like it might have been nice a decade or so ago. It is adequate, but if you're accustomed to staying in nice properties, The Lumen will come up short. The bed and the pillows were hard as rocks. Only complaint. They were truly uncomfortable. Otherwise, staff and location are great. But they need to fix that issue. I won't stay there again anytime soon just due to not being able to sleep well.

This is an older hotel remodeled. Out room smelt of years of cigarette smoke . The room didn’t really cool down as much as we like and staff were nice. Probably won’t stay here again due to musty cigarette smell in our room.

Front desk was not helpful. The sink in our room was clogged so I called to get maintenance to come fix it and nobody showed. I also called a few times to get the complimentary bottle of wine that came with our package and that was never delivered.

Rating is zero. I did not get an upgrade and they had upgrades available and with my status I should've have an upgrade and a late check out but that wasn’t given to me even though they had rooms available. The staff knocked on my door continuously from 9 AM until 1 pm with a late check out I'm entitled to a 4 PM check out. To knock on my door seven times and call six times is unacceptable. I was also supposed to receive 20% discount on food with status and didn’t receive that either. This hotel is more of a 2 star hotel. Be warned.

I did not get an upgrade and they had upgrades available and with my status I should've have an upgrade and a late check out but that wasn’t given to me even though they had rooms available. The staff knocked on my door continuously from 9 AM until 1 pm with a late check out I'm entitled to a 4 PM check out. To knock on my door seven times and call six times is unacceptable. I was also supposed to receive 20% discount on food with status and didn’t receive that either. This hotel is more of a 2 star hotel. Be warned.

We stayed back at the Lumen since last month. Again the location is great for all of Dallas and easy access to Love Field and SMU. Snyder plaza stores and restaurants are walkable. A 7-Eleven open late is right next door. Parking is limited with no self parking anywhere and Valet $35. Valet service however is excellent. The smaller rooms can suffer from the A/C blowing directly on the beds. A drape or vent would correct that. The mid sized rooms are plenty enough and well appointed. All in all very comfy place to rest, and quiet. The price was a little high and there are lots of options in Dallas, but again the location was key. The Front Restaurant needs some work. It is open for breakfast and dinner only. Breakfast was very weak and way overpriced this trip. The bar and bartenders are great, but we did not try dinner after the breakfast experience. A real strength here is the staff. Everyone is pleasant and helpful. Terri, Tanya, and Gilbert at the front desk were great. Julie in sales was most helpful. All said, we will be back next month and post an update.

There was NO ONE staffing the restaurant for breakfast. NO ONE. I and three unrelated other people waited and waited and then left. Hotels by this ownership group are always dingy and dirty in the corners and baseboards and the elevators are beat up. A little design flair does NOT make up for the dinginess and poor service.

We came in to an event across the street. The property was easily accessible, small and calm, and had valet parking. The lobby was nice and the pool area was a pleasant place to relax. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, especially Terri at the front desk. Check in was easy. The room was large and comfortable, clean and well decorated. The lack of parking, & "expensive" valet only option is not what I preferred traveling for work. The staff worked with me on this which I appreciated after a very long day. The location is fantastic. Very good food options driveable within minutes. SMU campus across the street...also very handy. I highly recommend the breakfast from the on site restaurant. Loved that! If work brings me back here Ill definitely consider staying again! Thank you.

The people here are amazingly friendly and among the nicest in all of my travels. Loved the pool and the rooftop terrace. the restaurant was also delicious and the staff was amazing. Just keep in mind that parking is Valet only

This hotel is apparently under renovations and we werent told. So, no lounge and no restaurant!! Also, there is renovations going on in other places in this hotel. The ac was extremely noisy and it sounded like water dripping everytime the ac went off.

My room was listed on your site as being a luxury suite. I would say that was a significant overstatement. It was fine but a bit tired and not what I would call luxury. I wasn't offered any upgrades even though I was supposed to receive one. I checked in at 910 pm on a Monday and was told that the restaurant was closed, and no room service. I asked where I could go nearby and was told that everything was closed and I could order Uber eats! I went into the restaurant and the bartender didn't even want to pour me a drink to take to my room. Thankfully a server offered to get me one. Not what I would call great service! Over promised and under delivered

We were not told the property is undergoing construction!The restaurant was closed and they only offered free coffee from 5-7am! Ridiculous! Not enough towels, several outlets didn’t work, no water bottles offered in the room. The AC unit kicked on and off very loud during the night. We’ve stayed at other Graduate Hotels and this was a disappointment. Seemed to be short on staffing too. Disappointed in Hilton!!

Good but dated property. A/c blew cold but very loudly. On property restaurant was good, however a simple morning coffee there was a ridiculous $7.50 +tax+tip. Go to Starbucks a few blocks north.

Big fan of The Graduate (formerly The Lumen). Love the location, the boutique hotel feel, and the new renovations. Hallways are way too dark - please lighten up a bit. Please bring back the free coffee bar in the mornings! Friendly staff!
