The pool was closed and the work out room smelled like vomit

Pool was not operating and we weren’t made aware in advance.

We stopped here on our way up to Michigan. The staff were very friendly but the property was definitely in need of repair. The elevator had duct tape keeping the tiles in places. The smell of the room and hallway was a mix between weed and mold and the bed was really uncomfortable. The bathroom door had to be pushed hard to close as it wasn’t hung properly and dragging the floor. The door to the stairwell was missing a door handle. The continental breakfast was overall pretty good with hot and cold choices We won’t be staying here again though on future trips

Pool water greenish and lobby had an “off smell” upon entering. If it had a chlorine smell at least you knew where smell was coming from.

Outdoor lighting was poor too many spaces for special guests in the front which leaves to parking in the back which for an older person is scary

It could use a bigger parking lot

Very disappointing, the cleanliness of the hotel is poor, there was a napkin and dirt in the elevator the entire stay, staff would all gather and talk and use inappropriate language, just looking at the elevator looks unsafe

The location of the hotel is excellent. The cleanliness of the front desk is not bad. However, as soon as you leave the elevator on the floor, the smell and suffocation and humidity trouble, and the elevator is noisy, but compared with the small city, it is not bad. breakfast was good, and the staff who served was excellent; she was attentive, friendly, and always ready to assist. She asked the customers how satisfied they were and if she could bring more and encourage them to eat. Since I did not have her name, I could. Not identify her.

The pool was closed. Which we were not informed of prior to our arrival. Did a pay at property and they were trying to charge my card early morning of my trip. Bed was harder than I like. Pull out bed was badly stained so we opted to not use with our family

My room was clean, no dust, clean shiny shower and counter, sink and bowl!! I was so impressed, I will be back again and again when visiting family and friends. Thank you to all!!!!!

Just didn’t smell clean. Hall carpet looks dirty. Fridge didn’t work.

Room was clean, staff was nice but told us the wrong time for breakfast and we missed that, shower was dirty and had a lot of stains.

Feels like bought a run down hotel and slapped some new signage up. Dirty carpet everywhere, dirty walls in our room, mold in the shower, someone’s else’s leftover Chinese food in the microwave, urine stains around the toilet. I book Holiday Inn Express rooms with confidence that I’ll have a decent place to stay, this was the worst one I’ve ever been to.

The refrigerator didn’t work. The bathtub leaked.

I didn’t like how it took me until midnight to get help connecting my system to the wifi because no one could help me and there was no maintenance man or manager or supervisor on site. I got bounced around 8 different times trying to get help. I was told i would be contacted in 20 mins after i called for help and that turned into 4 hours. So yea highly upset and didn’t really appreciate how much trouble I had and how the pool was freezing. I’ve never had any problem like that at any other hotel not even a cheap run down one, the other holiday inn, in chillicothe is amazing and so comforting and welcoming had no problem connecting my system they sent me to the tech guy immediately pool was nice and clean and looked updated, beds were comfortable the whole hotel was clean and updated and just all around pleasant staff was nice and quick to attend to me. In my opinion for what i experienced at this one I deserve a free night or a refund but they will be quick to say no.

Staff/front desk person was very nice. Room was very clean and comfortable. Shower head was terrible… no pressure. Air conditioner was loud in room

Our room was very humid and wet, had the AC blowing on high but it only pushed cold air into wet air. Had to sleep in wet sheets all night. Bed was comfortable otherwise. Breakfast was good. Shower was out of body wash.

Check in staff was very friendly and helpful. There was nobody at the desk for check out. Water pressure in 219 was not good.

Beds were comfortable and breakfast was great. Bathroom was spacious. The room heater was quiet and so was the hotel.

Great staff

We recieved frienldy and excellent service Jessica at the breakfast bar was a delight. She was helpful and courteous. The register attendants were friendly and made chccking in and out a breeze.

This is a very nicely run property. The people that work there all had smiles on their faces and really seem to enjoy interfacing with the customers. We will return again.

Staff was extremely rude. Had to ring the bell 10-15 times before someone came up. Wouldn’t let us check in one hour early even though we had a wedding to get to.

Hotel is ran pretty well. It’s just that we reserve and booked the jacuzzi room in January, 6 months prior to our stay get a call from hotels.com on how our room was over booked and was no longer available a few hours before arrival and we got down graded. The problem was with this is we still had to pay the original amount on a lesser room. To me is what they call as an “advance-fee scam”. Which holiday inn blamed Expedia and Expedia blamed the hotel over posting. If they had given us a month notice we would booked something else fine. If anyone else has had issue with this type of scam I do advise the state of which it takes place to write that states Attorney General so they can investigate if a business is being fraudulent and be charged and licensed removed to do business in that stat. Not saying this is what happened, it may of been an honest mistake but that the duty of the state of figure out. Over seems like a nice hotel just how we booked than last minute pulled some bs by in my opinion was the hotel. But this hotel is over due for some upgrades and has some needed maintenance issues that should be addressed sooner than later. House keeping is great as well and the lovely women running breakfast in morning was great! My wife still steaming about the room she wanted for her bday weekend got taken from away for a booking 6 months earlier. I just didn’t understand being down graded and yet paying the same price for lower suite. Something for the attorney general

We were not greeted when we walked in. The girls at the front desk were rude and snippy. The fee for a dog was not explained on the Expedia website. $50 surprise. Room was very poorly lit, curtains wouldn’t close so light from outside came in all night, mold around the tub, breakfast was cold, air conditioning had a governor on it. The only time we were greeted was when we left by two very nice and apologetic.

Location

Nice place and close to Hocking Hills State Park. If anyone visiting this area to visit the caves I would recommend to stay here.

Great stay! Booked at the last minute. Price during the Eclipse stay was very low. Fun restaurant right across the street. Free parking. Room was clean. Breakfast had lots of options. Only complaint - the towels seemed old, but clean. Highly recommended.

Good location if visiting Hocking Hills. Shopping and restaurants nearby. Great staff, very accommodating, friendly and on it for cleaning in the morning.

Hotel is nice enough and new-ish. Breakfast was hot and fresh each morning. They served the same things for 4 days straight though.

I was over all very satisfied with my stay. Staff, especially the housekeeping and breakfast staff were exceptional. Facility was clean. The breakfast selection was above par. Very good

This Holiday Inn Express was a great stay for my overnight. The staff at the front desk were very friendly and helpful. The room was up to date and very clean. Walk-in shower was great with adjustable shower head and plenty of hot water. Room was toasty with warm heat on a chilly night. To top off my stay was an awesome complimentary breakfast. A wonderful cook prepared fried potatoes, two types of egg omelets, pork sausage, turkey sausage, and sausage gravy. Plus, fruit and cereal were offered. By far, the best breakfast that I have ever experienced at a hotel. I travel a lot each month and this was a refreshing experience!!! Can't say enough good things about this hotel!
