Marina Bay Resort

Marina Bay Resort was somewhat of a disappointment. Don't believe every picture you see. The staff were nice but the condition of the facility was old and outdated. You were charged 25.00 for early check-in, yet the parking lot was empty when we arrived. Check-in time was 4 p.m. and check-out was 10 a.m. What's the use of staying here? Parking lot was empty most of the time. We saw only a few people around. View from the poolside overlooking the marina was terrific! Accommodations weren't so good. Bed was comfortable. Charging 5.00 for lost wristbands and 1.00 for lost rooms keys was concerning. No one was available during early morning hours. The gym area didn't seem clean and well kept. The pool was refreshing, though. The place needs a total make-over. It does have incredible potential.

The view was beautiful has a boat slip if you bring one. Boat ride very close to crab island and other places. Staff were very attentive and took care of any issues we had. They are working on updating the property. Great price for a good location to everything you need.

Great location!! The waterfront view is absolutely beautiful. Big and spacious pool!! Nice hot tub and game room. Beautiful landscaping. Good deal on pontoon rentals. I will be back again soon!!

You can fishing at the hotel back small pier.

The property had no elevators so that was hard on me with the stairs. However, my husband talked to Mrs. Sue and she put us in a king room on first floor side with an excellent view of the marina. Good Experience.

It's close to the beach. It's an older property under new management. Staff working when we checked in, so nice!! We were a late check in, but she waited and didn't show any kind of irritation with us. The place itself is, ok, older...... but the pool and hot tub were clean and the place is well kept. There was NO foul odors at all!!!!! The beds are, comfy isn't something I'd say, but the bedding is CLEAN!! NO "items" that would lead us to believe any type of "critters" in or around!! Seriously, the property is very well kept!!!!! We had no concerns with staying there a couple nights and would go back and stay there again and again!!!! Thank you Marina Bay for a safe and clean stay!!

$210 a night for a suite, which had an extra couch blocking access into the room, they refused to move it, apparently it was being stored in my room while they remodel? No air conditioning in the game room, bedroom air conditioner was broken, hot tub broken, metal gutter on the exterior was hanging down and swinging towards the window during a storm. Look elsewhere, the website doesn't reflect the actual hotel.

This property took me back to the late 1900s, with its retro pool table slopping to the left hard,to the ping pong table with half the net hanging haphazardly off to the side and paddles with the padding almost nonexistent. The hotel was in dire need of a restoration 20 years ago, but thats not important, no fridge or microwave made life more difficult on vacay. The stay was pleasant, the rooms clean albiet in derelict shape. The doors safety latch was broken beyond usability and the bathroom fan hung on for dear life as we sat in the restroom hoping it did not fall on our head. For the price, GREAT POOL, HOTTUB, AND LOCATION. A little investing in improvements could go a long way. We enjoyed our stay, the pier had hermit crabs in the shallow water and the view was wonderful. Worth $100 ish a night for lication alone.

Roaches, broken blinds, someone elses clothes in dresser, someones dirty towel hun in bathroom, almost empty roll of toilet paper and no more, no blanket, wifi not strong enough to work, pool broken, absolutly horrible. And the number they give you to call the person on site if you have issues doesnt answer. When i checked out intalked to assistant manager who did not seem surprised and just said ohbsorry ill tell someone. Wont let me add pictures ....

upon arrival the lady at the front desk told us our reservation should have been a little over 400 dollars but we paid nearly 700 dollars. then we checked in and our room wasn’t ready so we headed to the beach and didnt get back to the room until after the office closed. the room we have didn’t have a phone to call the office or a working number to let them know our room didn’t come with a small fridge or microwave like it was supposed to. nobody ever came to our room to bring fresh towels or toilet paper. i asked and the girl cleaning the rooms said she wasn’t sure how overnight stays works bc she had just started so i asked the lady at the front desk who was helping clean rooms i guess. she gave us some towels and i asked about the fridge and the microwave but she said i should have told her the day before bc she could have brought one but even after i told her and we had another day in the room they never brought one to our room. but like i previously stated there was no way to inform anyone. our door to the patio was messed up and we couldn’t open it we left a voicemail and nobody ever got back to us. the room was dusty. the floors were very dirty. the tv barely worked. my son walked around with socks on and they were legitimately black. there was a coffee pot in the bathroom and it was also dirty. i’ve never had an experience like this and i hope i never do again. also, nobody ever even came to change out trash idk how this location is labeled as a resort.

The view was spectacular, and the beds have new mattresses. The hotel is old; they haven't remodeled it, but it's clean. The only complaint was that the area around the bathtub was very dirty and covered in mold. A good stay. I was traveling with my husband and two children.

The view was nice from the balcony. The hall ways where very sticky and not mopped, along with the floor in our room. Things should be upgraded.

The stay was adequate at best. We rented a suite with our friends. We got there and allegedly got the last room available because when we were in our room, we found that the ac was broken in the bedroom, the hairdryer didnt work, the couch, mirror, and toilet all had hair or dirt on them. The couch had a dead cockroach, old food, and garbage underneath it. There were several live and dead beetles. All of this in itself isnt the end of the world, but they offered no real help and no rooms were apparently available. They offered partial compensation if i came back but otherwise i was SOL. I was happy with the lady at the front desk, however the complete lack of cleanliness led to my wife sleeping with a bag on her head and myself sleeping without any blankets to not melt in the florida heat.

Found nasty molded baby bottle under cushions of pull out couch and dirty napkins in the same area. Couch was also dirty. Floor was very dirty and turned my socks black.

Horrible do not stay at this hotel! Bed bugs and other pests constantly in Admiral water front suite 104 and laundry room! They didn’t care either and told me I was the first guest to report this problem and it didn’t happen over night! The health dept should be called on this place!

There are sand in bedsheets. Floor carpet is very wet by our bed. Coffee maker is not clean. No WiFi connection. One thing scares us is there are two girls knocked on our door at 2:28am asking us to open the door for them. Next day when we talk to the staff in front desk, they said they saw those girls a couple of times.

I liked that it was on the water & was quite but the room had an oder that smelled like mildew in the air system that didnt go away no matter what I did & i used a diffuser, sprayed like crazy- including vents but it just stunk, then the carpet in the beroom was extremely old & gross, the first room we were sent to was still dirty they thought it had been cleaned, then the second room they got us in stunk & was very outdated, hope they remodel because the place would be amazing if so

Property outside was pretty, but we waited one-and-a-half hours after check-in time to get our room. There were no towels in the room, the mattress was very uncomfortable, found a roach in the bathroom during the night, a/c was very noisy when it kicked on. The room had a connecting door with the tv console in front of it, and light shined into our room all night around the cracks in the door frame. Will not stay there again and don’t recommend.

Clean room, great views, awesome pool!! AC was cold and we were very comfortable.

Loved the balcony and pool. Room had no mini fridge, microwave, or coffee machine. Traffic was horrendous.

It was on the water and it was Beautiful! Huge pool ! The rooms were spacious , Beds comfortable ! It was a win win 👍

An older property, but well kept up. Close to shopping and restaurants. Nice view of the harbor.

Property was old and dated. Fresh smell in common areas but when walking into our room, it had an odd odor. The whole property looked run down. But they had a new sign and a fresh coat of paint.

Everything was good except refrigerator didn’t work.

The room smelled like smoke. I was too tired to complain. And the bathroom floor may have been clean but was sticky. I liked the plantation shutters The bed was comfortable and the room was quiet. And I liked the option of watching Netflix

We normally stay at a Marriott or Hilton, but this time we figured we would stay someplace else. We saw they had a pool, arcade room and corn hole, so we figured it would be more hip. When we checked in the lady wrote 213A on our cards but 231A on our map. We went to 231A, second floor, no elevators. I have balance issues. Key wouldn't work, so my husband went back to the front desk. It's 213A on the other side. Down the steps, drove to the other side, up the steps. The room was set at 90 degrees, the bathroom was a toilet, sink, tub. No conters. There wasn't any doors on the closets, one had carpet tacking strip and glue but no carpet. The paint on the walls looked like a child did it. The TV and cable box were unplugged. After plugging them in, the cable said "service interrupted. Call cox to restablish". By then I told my husband I was hot, claustrophobic in the bathroom and now we couldn't watch movies. No complementary water, no mini fridge. I wanted to go home. We stayed an hour. Told the front desk to charge us for that night, but refund the next.

For an older property, it was clean did not like that. The rooms across the hall had kitchenette, and the smells with travel into my room.

We were supposed to check in at 3:00 p.m. however me and my family and at least 9 or 10 other families that were supposed to check in at 3:00 did not start getting rooms until 6:00 p.m. because they did not have them clean. We really weren't offered anything in exchange for this late check-in and what we did get checked in the staff leaves for the night so once we got to our room and had questions about things there was no phone to use no phone number to call for after hours no one on property to ask any questions or get anything if we needed it was a total Joke

The building is under new management and seems like they’re still transitioning to improve. The customer service was impeccable which made the stay great as adjustments are being made. Great view, peaceful and close to the beach!

This property is located on the bay with beautiful views. I would have given 5 stars, but check in was quite an ordeal. The manager could not be found, and had left an employee there to run things who had just started that day. Her and the housekeeper were having to check people in, It seems the new management that took over has some work to do. It took 45 minutes and people were all standing around waiting for someone to walk and check their room to make sure it had been cleaned. The ladies were very kind and apologetic. Other than that, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Love this property! Will return.

Absolutely horrible. Couldn’t check in until almost 5 pm. No comfrorters on beds, just a sheet. Place doesn’t even seem like it is ready to accommodate guests. We used to love this place. They said they are renovating!!! They said they had to charge $100 deposit which would be refunded. After 2 weeks it still wasn’t refunded. Called the office and they said it slipped through the cracks. Assured me it would go back on my card. That was 2 months ago and it never was credited back to my card. I got tired of begging for it and just won’t be back. Worst hotel stay i’ve had in a longggggg time. They shouldn’t be opened for business

We arrived at 4pm, check in started at 3pm, we were told our room wasn’t ready because they had too many people checking in. They told us they would call us when it was ready. We waited 2 hours and. 40 minutes and nothing so we went back and it still wasn’t ready for another 20 minutes. They told us the housekeeping was just making our beds and when we got to our room the TV didn’t work and nothing looked cleaned at all. I sanitized all the surfaces with a wipe because it was just one night. The beds suck. Tv didn’t work. You have to take the trash out before you leave and the dumpsters were a mess. The sauna doesn’t work at all, the gym is in disarray and had a fan that looked to be helping air out an old vent with mold on the wall, I was disgusted. We tried some of the equipment and half of it didn’t work.

I didn’t get to take pictures because I didn’t get into my room till three hours after check in time…. They gave us our key. We went to our room. It was dirty from the people who used the room before us and It took them several hours to get our room ready.

I was on a solo vacation and booked this hotel because of its charm and small town vibe. The location was perfect. I decided to give 3 stars for the following reasons... on night one, two people entered my room while I was in there. They apologized but didnt say anything else. I always feel safe at this location. The staff is always friendly and helpful. This is a convenient location for me to get to everywhere I need to go.

Our stay was nice, is an older place but well maintained. Amazing staff, great location minutes away from anything you could want to do. Will be visiting again.

My friend and I went to Fort Walton beach and Destin for a few days. We loved our stay. Everyone was very helpful and accommodating. The hotel was close to everything. Plenty of restaurants with live music walking distance. We felt save walking late at night. I would go back.

A great place to stay right on the water, in the heart of Fort Walton Beach. Close to shops, dining, the Gulf, Pier and Boardwalk. Service was excellent and I can’t wait to stay again.

We enjoyed being so close to a public beach. Sue was great giving us tips of where to go and what to eat. We were able to walk to the park for July 4th fireworks and live band. It was great!

The property is very convenient to several restaurants and activities. It is an older property that could use some TLC in certain area. Very nice pool and courtyard. Very few amenities in the room, need more chairs for the balcony. With a few touches this could be a top notch resort again.

The location of this place is great. You're a five minute drive away from the Boardwalk.Traffic can be a little congested which adds a few minutes to the drive. The resort could use updating and a few repairs but over all it’s a good family place to stay.only a few things I was disappointed in finding a sock in the sofa left by last guest, no sheets on pull out,door lock to balcony could use WD 40 and not a single extra blanket in the room. The dish washer was out of order and floors could have been mopped better.Room 125 Overall we enjoyed our stay and will be back again.

Great location, price and friendly and helpful staff. Boat ramp was close by to get to crab island and cute area and restaurants to walk to. Only cons were the room could use a little more care, but we expected as much for the price. The coffee maker had mold in it. No remote in the room for the tv. The smoke detector was pulled off the wall and beeping when we arrived. If you just want a place to sleep after a long day on the water, in a good location, and not spend a fortune, then this is the place for you. The beds were clean and comfortable.

i didnt like that there wasnt a microwave or refrigerator in our room. Yes, there was one at the office, but who wants to walk to the office when you have handicap in room? 0ther than that is the only complaint .

Coffee pot was filthy, microwave was filthy, table was sticky and disgusting & phone got stuck. No sheets for pull out sofa. Need a real electrician to fix outlets before some gets electrocuted. Employees were polite. Balcony was filthy. Need to update and do some repairs. It's a beautiful place but need some repairs..

Lobby had a musty old smell and needed updsting. Our key didn’t work first time and they didn’t offer breakfast. Our room had NO coffe pot, ice bucket, ftidge,microwave. We asked for a coffee pot and they said it was not a kitchenette room we told them all places offered coffee pot regardless of room. Noisy at night. The balcony furniture was old, dirty, and molded The good things were a comfortable bed a tv that worked and the staff was nice but were only there 8-4. We had to wait to check out cause they weren’t there. We will not stay there again
