Das Hotel ist super zentral gelegen. Zimmer sind klein aber zweckmäßig. Die Gemeinschaftsbäder waren sehr sauber und wurden regelmäßig gereinigt. Ich war davon ausgegangen, dass Frühstück inkludiert war, war aber nicht so... Aber es gibt eine tolle Bäckerei in Laufweite. Idealer Ort für ein paar Tage Stockholm, wenn man keine hohen Ansprüche stellt, dann aber wirklich zu empfehlen! Tipp zur Anreise: Besser über Kungsträdgården und Slottsbacken, dann muss man den Koffer nicht rauf und runter tragen...

Paid around $300/day and it is not comparable with a hotel in US paying the same amount. This hotel has terrible Wifi and there was no use for us! I do not recommend it if you are comparing it with a US hotel paying $300 per day.

+: Perfect location: in the middle of the historic center of Stockholm. Excellent price-quality taken into account the location. -: No fridge in the room, very limited breakfast, forbidden to eat or drink in the room, lot of noise in the morning. In general it was a nice experience and I can recommend this hotel if you want to stay in the historic center.

Some of the beds were very comfortable, others were very hard and difficult to sleep on. There was a chronic sewage smell coming from the bathroom. Wi-Fi was very poor quality. Otherwise, it was clean and very well located in the middle of the old town.

The inn is quite good value for money. It is cheap, and quite clean, and extremely well located yet in a quiet street. Our rooms were big enough, and the beds comfy. You share shower and toilets, but they are quite abundant and private, so it's not a really big problem. Some of the shower/wc rooms have a bit of an odour that i believe could be fixed with a splash of beach in the drains now and then. A minor gripe is that there are no paper towels in these shower/wc rooms.

Jättefint rum men tyvärr ingen frukost. Positivt att fönstret gick att öppna, rummet var väldigt varmt vid ankomst. Duschar/toalett i korridor var fina och såg nyrenoverade ut men fogarna hade redan börjat mögla.

Perhaps one of the cleanest hotels I have been in. Beds were comfortable, linens were lovely. Beautiful building inside and out. The shared bathrooms were somewhat smelly, but perhaps that is to be expected.

Breakfast not available, but good choices nearby. We would have liked wash cloths and a bath mat. Curtains in room needed repair and not effective at blocking street lights and did not give privacy. Location was excellent for public transportation and sightseeing. Host was very helpful arranging taxi to airport.

Fine and great location, but TINY room. Ideal however in terms of location in Gamla Stan. For that reason alone we overlooked the room size; just don’t plan on spending any time in the room other than to sleep.

Amazing hotel in a fantastic area. Everywhere was walkable, with lots of dining options nearby too and the water just at the end of the street. Spotlessly clean too. Just a couple of words of warning .. the blinds are paper thin and sit over a foot from the windowsill, so are utterly pointless. Our room also had 2 bright street lamps right outside, so it was like daylight at night. Definitely take an eye mask!! Also, there's a restaurant/wine bar under the hotel, that seems to turn into a nightclub at the weekend and has loud booming music until about 1.30am. Not ideal at all, but for the cleanliness and location I would definitely consider staying there again. I'd just make sure I stayed out late on Friday and Saturday nights!!

This is a lovely hotel in a great location. It needs just a few changes to be great overall. They do not have hand towels or wash cloths. It would have been nice to have these. The WiFi was very weak. The window covering is very thin and see through. With the lights outside and the sun coming up at 4:00 am the room was never dark enough for sleeping. A blackout shade would be easy to add. The bathroom could use some shelves. And there needs to be a lip at the base of the shower. With no lip the water from the shower goes all over the bathroom. A squeegee is provided but it would be nice to have the water contained.

I had a twin room, which was a great size and clean with towels provided and complimentary slippers. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the option to leave our luggage after checkout was great. It’s an old building, so some areas were worn, but it was part of the charm. It’s close to the harbour as well as cafes, restaurants, shops, art galleries and historical places of interest, such as the Royal Palace. I’d definitely stay here again!

Trevligt hotel mitt i Gamla stan. Allt var bra förutom en sak. Det fanns inga mörkläggningsgardiner. Gardinerna som fanns var vita. Detta gjorde att det blev ljust i rummet när solen gick upp, vilket ledde till att jag vaknade alldeles för tidigt.

Castle House Inn is wonderful! Great location in Gamla Stan, walkable to so many places, nice and clean rooms, and easy to access amenities. The staff went above and beyond to reach & help us coordinate the delivery of a forgotten bag to the airport in time for our flight. This is a place you can trust!! Would absolutely stay here again.

Our flight arrived at 10:30pm. There front desk closes at 9:30pm therefore I emailed in advance letting them know. They confirmed and noted that there’s a $50 usd late check in fee between 9:30-12am, which is fine since we had no choice. We arrive to the hotel at 11:15pm, called the front phone, emailed them to no response. Standing out front with my family and no where to stay. We had to scramble for another hotel. I don’t know how the hotel accommodation is but with this service after confirming they will be there left an awful taste. Please be aware if landing into Stockholm late

On arrival I was told that the payment machine was defect and asked to go to a cash machine to withdraw cash for the stay, quite unproffessional attitude from the staff. It was not possible to pay electronically other than Swish (has to be Swedish resident) or Revolut (which I do not consider generally accesible). Invoice not possible and only other option was in case to cancel the booking which was not really an option as hotels that night was full. After a long day and flights this was not good at all! Felt unwelcome and not taken seriously - STAY AWAY FROM THIS HOTEL!

Arrived around 19.00. There was no staff on site and the door to reception was locked. I had not received prior info as how to get in. After countless knocks on the door and failed phonecalls i found a way in via a different doorphone than the one by reception.

Svært tungvint at det ikke er åpen resepsjon på kveldstid. De tar ikke telefonen, så med forsinket fly ble det ekstremt mye styr for å vite om man hadde et sted å overnatte. Unødvendig mye stress der. Super plassering. Stort, men nedslitt rom.

Reception said they would stay open til 10PM to accommodate late check-in. We arrived at 9:50 and they were gone. Luckily, another customer let us in the building, otherwise we would have had to find another hotel at 10PM. Also, hotel lost power for a few hours, and there was no offer of any kind from the hotel for the inconvenience.

Rummet var rymligt och fräscht. Läget var strålande och vi fick mycket tid i Gamla stan. Information kring var man kunde äta frukost etc kunde varit lite tydligare. Skeppsbron bageri var dock väldigt bra ställe för frukost. Vi blev väckta tidigt fredag morgon av att man tömde tomglas i kontainrar/sopbil nere på gatan. Detta hördes väldigt tydligt och var inte särskilt trevligt.

Badrummen hade mögel, dålig ventilation och var ostädade. Sovrummet hade dålig luft. Vid förhandskontakt med hotellet och på deras hemsida informerades att det fanns Mannerfrukost på Hotellet mot separat kostnad, då vi anlände informerades att så inte var fallet.

Das Hotel ist super zentral gelegen. Zimmer sind klein aber zweckmäßig. Die Gemeinschaftsbäder waren sehr sauber und wurden regelmäßig gereinigt. Ich war davon ausgegangen, dass Frühstück inkludiert war, war aber nicht so... Aber es gibt eine tolle Bäckerei in Laufweite. Idealer Ort für ein paar Tage Stockholm, wenn man keine hohen Ansprüche stellt, dann aber wirklich zu empfehlen! Tipp zur Anreise: Besser über Kungsträdgården und Slottsbacken, dann muss man den Koffer nicht rauf und runter tragen...

Trevligt rum men inga bra tvättmöjligheter. Toalett utanför och delad med andra (självvalt pga priset) Duschrum längre bort. Inget frukostrum men rekommenderades Skeppsbro Bageriet mycket nära och mycket trevligt! God riklig frukost.

The location of the hotel is fabulous! Lots of shops and cafes just steps away. Castle Inn is a clean, basic hotel with a very friendly and accommodating staff. The beds and linens are comfortable. The showers are hot and the internet is very good. A nice touch is having complimentary coffee, tea and cookies. Soda, bottled water and sandwiches at a very affordable cost. The Inn does not provide breakfast. The $9 breakfast fee is for a close by bakery. I would stay here again

Helt ok overnatting. Stort og fint rom. Mye støy utenfra, men det må man regne med så sentralt. Lite støy innenfra. Alltid ledig dusj og toalett. Det er IKKE frokost mot betaling som Hotels.com skriver og det var svært skuffende. Her bør både nettsiden og hotellet ta ansvar.

Breakfast not available, but good choices nearby. We would have liked wash cloths and a bath mat. Curtains in room needed repair and not effective at blocking street lights and did not give privacy. Location was excellent for public transportation and sightseeing. Host was very helpful arranging taxi to airport.

There are only two positive things about this hotel: its cleanliness and its excellent location. Apart from that, it offers very little to make a visitor's stay in beautiful Stockholm enjoyable. The lack of a receptionist after 10:00 p.m. is a major problem for guests arriving on late flights or whose flights are delayed. The hotel simply locks its doors, leaving late-arriving guests outside with no access to the hotel and no accommodation for the night. This is unacceptable, especially when travel delays are beyond a guest's control.
