All restaurants are closed on Mondays, no bar, very smoky

It had a nice hot tub and pool area. The room was nice.

Would have been nice to know no pool or hot tub for my stay ahead of time. This was extremely upsetting. Of course by the time u find this out its to late to get refund and go to s different hotel.

We stayed in the older hotel part. It definitely needs upgrading, but it was clean, and parking was much more convenient than the newer part. The room was clean, the beds were comfortable, humongous bathroom. Closer to walk to the casino from the older part. We enjoyed the pool and hot tub, but it was a challenge finding them. For those staying in the newer part of the hotel, the parking lot is quite a distance for the elderly to walk to get into the hotel and to the casino. They had a gift shop, a small deli, and a restaurant, but it was closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. The casino was clean, not crowded, and none of us won anything. The bartenders were great!

stay was nice only problem is with handicape and regular parking both have to walk a block from hotel to your car.. Inside they will drive you any place you want to go .

Hot tub not working was the worst! After a day of driving the reason I picked this hotel was because of an indoor pool and hot tub. Carpet was absolutely filthy throughout the hotel. Desk person was very unfriendly.

The room was clean and quiet. The TV wouldn't connect and after trying to call twice for assistance and getting a voicemail option we gave up on the TV. The parking lot was in desperate need of repairs, it was also confusing as to where you park (GPS was inaccurate). Overall the stay was nice, the casino was convenient and we enjoyed our stay.

Parking was absolutely horrible. Not only were there enough spaces to park but the lot was nothing but check holes. The resort needs upgrading.

They're doing construction on it so in the morning there was a lot of noise coming from the roof It was very quiet in the casino there was hardly anyone around and there was construction going on and the pool along the pool the jacuzzi wasn't working

Although nonsmoking room, hallways smelt heavily of cigarette and pot smoke. Understand that it is legal in MI. Currently undergoing renovations. Had to walk through construction area to get to pool/fitness area and fitness center I’ll save you the trouble, don’t waste your time. Room itself was dusty, no cleaning service, bed making or trash pickup during entire stay. Very low quality and dated equal or slightly below budget hotel

Great price and inside casino. Room wasn't very clean.....leftover garbage on floor from previous occupant. Hotel was under renovation but definitely could have been cleaner. Staff wasn't super friendly at check in but check out staff was great. Casino staff was excellent. Water in bathroom sink was set to stay on for way too long.....seemed like such a waste in Michigan water country and a Native casino.

We stayed 2 nights here there was no room cleaning during our stay

Our room was extremely dusty and wasn’t cleaned had a dried sausage on the floor as well. A knob on our dresser was broken off so we just didn’t use them. The automatic sink is absolutely annoying for a hotel room. It turns on when you don’t want it to and you cannot change the temperature of it so you are brushing your teeth with hot water, it also stays on for a while after you’re done. We let the staff know our room was very dusty and dirty and they wrote our room # down and nothing changed. We did get a refund for our last night and left early because of it. They could have came and cleaned the room after we left for the day but we came back to nothing changed. We also arrived and their pool and hot tub were closed. If we had known it would have been closed we wouldn’t have stayed at all and canceled the reservation. We got refunded for our last night because we wanted to leave early only because the hotel was dirty and causing my nose to get stuffed up. We later found out they could have cleaned the room and we could have stayed the last night with it being comped. instead they didn’t let us know until we had packed up and changed our plans. We honestly would have asked for a full refund at that point. We drove 5 hours from home to come here just be disappointed after disappointed. Resulted in cutting our trip short was a disappointing drive home. The manager couldn’t speak with us until we had already checked out and headed home.

Concrete in walks and parking in very bad shape, dirty floors, even gum stuck on the floors inside. Room not bad, someone elses hair in the shower. Food was good.

Bathroom had hair stuck to wall and there was a small amount of debris on the floor it looked like it hadn’t been vacuumed. No housekeeping services besides the room being turned over.

Stayed two nights. Two rooms. This casino is filthy. You can tell they are not putting any money back in to upkeep. Our rooms were very dirty. We ask our rooms to be cleaned the second day we were there. Left for a few hours so they could clean as we did not want to gamble so early. When we did come back the floors in our rooms still were dirty. The chicken wing that was on the floor was still there from previous occupants. We will never go back. Oh yea the lamp shades in room were so nasty and stained. One fell right off. Do not stay here!!! Plus casino was also filthy. I cannot say it enough FILTHY.

Bedding wasn't clean.

Out of the ball park!! Clean and clean! Quiet and newly upgraded rooms made our stay out of the ballpark! Grand slam!!

I liked the convenience walking to the casino but i wanted to stay in the newer hotel and they put us in the old part. Furniture and everything in the room looked old. I booked it a long time before and they said there was no rooms left in the new part. Dissapointing.

WiFi is horrible and the tv cable goes out.

A good portion of this property is new but unfortunately, we stayed in the old portion, the "East Wing". This seemed to have been a two story econo box motel that was obviously there before the Tribe built and opened the casino/hotel around it. While the casino now is supposedly smoke free, the entire East Wing still strongly smelled of cigarette smoke. The room was shabby with wallpaper peeling and poor fit and finish in what seemed to be some recent attempts at renovations. The motion sensing faucet worked fine but the lack of hot and cold water valves meant you only get warm water out of it making it necessary to get just cold water out of the tub/shower faucet. Not a big thing but unusual. The shower was the high point for me as the pressure and flow out of the showerhead was great. The whole place is a confusing maze of hallways and shops separate from the gaming floors with no maps in the rooms and not enough directions for us to find the "Deli" that was the only option we found for room service that was not actually available for room service and we had to search for through the maze. When it rained, the debris filled roof gutters overflowed and a steam of water nosily dropped onto our first floor AC/heat unit. After all this, I'd still stay there again but only if other options were not available.

Room was fine

I got to stay in one of the newly renovated rooms which was really nice and the bathroom especially was super nice. However, I don’t think the hotel had set up the smart TVs in the new rooms yet because I couldn’t get anything to work or connect to it. The WiFi signal was also atrocious I could barely even play music on my phone. Other than that it was very clean and the bed was SUPER comfy. I liked the drawers and the closet space as well overall the room itself was great.

The room temperature was fine. The room was older and the wallpaper was ripped on the wall. Coffee maker in the bathroom was not desirable. The bed was comfortable. The mini fridge made noise.

The hotel refurbish is nearly complete and the rooms are fresh and clean. There's new tile in the bathrooms and (thank God) they've replaced the horrible motion-sputtering faucets with proper ones. There are super cheap shampoo, conditioner and body soap dispensers in the nice shower, but no lotion, and no soap dish for the sink bar of soap. The room was a little dark. Our room had a nice floor lamp, but no place to plug it in. BEWARE of the razor sharp bedpost! It drew blood from my wife's leg. Also be aware there are not suitcase stands in the rooms. Apparently you have to request one because people were stealing them. All in all, the rooms are a good deal for the (pre-casino) price. ;-) But the constant sound of room doors slamming made it hard to get any good sleep. The doors are designed to close softly, until nearly closed, then they slam shut with a horrendous noise. Hope they can adjust that!

Overall a nice hotel, but the WiFi is horrible and cable for the TV goes out.

Check in was not friendly at all Got there 20 mins after we could do find out they didn’t have the non-smoking room i reserved and no apology or trying to make it right… Not pleasant , rude and stinky

The staff was friendly and helpful. They are in the prcess of doing additions and upgradss to the hotel, but was still very clean and quite.

Really nice people and very clean. They are remodeling so there were some supplies sitting around but that didnt change it being a nice stay.

We went to the hotel at 5 pm to check in which is an hour after check-in time and were told by the front desk they only had one room available of the two we had reserved and couldn't tell us if we could have rooms near each other. We asked to talk to a manager and all of a sudden they had two rooms ready near each other. Just frustrating when the front desk person had an attitude when checking in and didn't want to be helpful. We had traveled over four hours to this destination and just wanted to check in and relax. Note they do allow smoking in this hotel/casino so if smoke bothers you I would steer clear, that is the first thing you smell when walking into the hotel area and upper hallways to the rooms. The rooms themselves did not smell like smoke though thankfully. The casino was nice, with lots of games to choose from. The restaurant was good and the employees there were helpful and upbeat, the bar was nice with affordable drinks with great bartenders. I would go back again.

I don’t even know where to begin how bad my stay was. The staff here is like the walking dead absolutely terrible attitudes and no accommodation at all. This place should be on a tv show like Bar Rescue. I stayed here for 5 nights as I was in town for a professional golf tournament. A local man in the hotel lobby mentioned to me “make sure to stay in the newer part of the hotel next time you stay here a word of advice, don’t stay in East Wing” as I was waking to my room. As soon as I got to my room, I understood why the man mentioned that. It was utter disappointment. The room was something out of a 70’s magazine. The beds are stiff as concrete, no phone charging outlets, no hot / cold water faucet in the bathroom, the shower took 10 minutes to get lukewarm. The appliances in the room make loud ringing noises that were distracting when trying to sleep and not to mention the horrid smoke smell throughout the entire building was absolutely disgusting. I immediately went to the front desk and no help was provided to switch me out of my room. I got attitude from the front desk workers and they said things like “call back later” and “try again tomorrow.” My first night I decided to gamble, I went to check out roulette and won $320 dollars. I was required a hand pay by two guys that tried to scam me and tried to force me to write down my social security # on blank paper. It was incredibly off putting and super sketchy. It’s like they were all in on the scam. Be careful

The staff are always extremely friendly and accommodating, often making helpful suggestions I would never have thought of myself.

Excellent customer service, very reasonably priced, no smoking (yeah!), and room was great (extra towels are a plus if needed). Will stay again.

The clerk that checked us in didn't know how to check in customers from Hotels.com. She left us standing at the front desk waiting on her for about 15 minutes while someone in the back room showed her how to do it. She never smiled once. Never thanked us and didn't explain much, not even how to use the wifi. The hotel is under construction. It was not clearly communicated that our room was down the hallway from construction or that the construction work started at 7 am. Construction sounds are not wonderful, restful sounds to wake up to. The vent fan in our bathroom didn't seem to be working, you couldn't hear it and had to keep wiping off the mirror with a towel. The vent in the wall next to the mirror in the bathroom and the toilet were horribly dirty. The shampoo dispenser in the shower was almost empty. The conditioner and body wash dispensers in the shower were empty. We stayed on a no smoking floor. There are signs posted to this affect. The hallway smelled like pot. I've stayed at this hotel a couple times before when visiting the Sault. I enjoyed my stays in the past. I didn't enjoy it this time. The service at the hotel has gone down hill.

Very clean rooms and awesome customer service — the front desk staff were fantastic! Loved the hotel and definitely plan to stay again, next time for longer. It was just a short drive into the U.S., not far from the border. Interestingly, hotels on the Canadian side in the Soo were more expensive and didn’t have nearly as many amenities or updates. Great value and experience overall! 5+ stars!!!

Couldn’t find entrance. Was in back not front!

Very clean and very friendly staff. 2 minute walk to casino and eat. Simple to get downtown for sights and shopping.

It was extremely difficult to find where to check in. Turning in to the area, the building closest to the sign is Human Resources. Tried the next building. Nope. Third one told us to go back by Human Resources and go around to the side. One is for the casino, one for something else & totally around the back is the hotel check-in. Once that was taken car of, everything was fine. The only complaint was that there was hair left in the bathtub. The rest of the room was clean.

This is part of the casino. The room was clean and comfortable. There is a deli and a restaurant available which provides food at a reasonable price. The casino is adjacent and has an amazing large scenic interior. The staff was friendly and helpful

This property is under construction but it didn’t affect our stay. We were given a 6th floor hotel room that was recently renovated, clean and comfortable. The property is nicely decorated and updated. We were disappointed that the restaurant was closed on Monday and Tuesday. We were looking forward to a nice dinner but ended up at the snack bar. The slots were fun and I actually came out a bit ahead. We had a good stay at this casino/hotel.

The room was very clean and tidy. I would never take a room next to the pop and ice machine...very noisy all night long. We also expected some sort of amenities and were offered nothing. Not even a Continental breakfast.

Looking forward to staying at a casino resort. The room was fine but the surrounding area was noisy due to construction. The casino had too many smoking areas, the smoke from which invaded the rest of the facility and limited how much time we wanted to spend around the machines. We thought the restaurant was quite basic with a limited choice of food and, on our visit, no alcohol

Property under renovation. New decor / furnishings are nice. Towels aren’t large or plush. Arrived to find that airport shuttle needed to be arranged days in advance. Front desk staff gave info for taxis - quite a difference between cash and credit card rates. Restaurant closed Monday and Tuesday. Grill was open and menu seemed ok - we didn’t try it - too many days of only pub food options locally

The on-site restaurant was terrible. Food was second class. It was like they didn’t care what they served you. It was awful. This is my second experience eating there I won’t ever do it again.

We stayed one night. The hotel is under construction and some of the rooms have been remodeled while others haven't. We got a remodeled room and it was great, except we couldn't get the TV to work and there wasn't any instructions in the room. I called the desk but no one answers. You have to get a call back. The other annoying thing is that the restaurant isn't open on Mon. or Tues.

My only complaint was the lack of sit down dining options. Their main restaurant was closed on Monday & Tuesday leaving only the Trail Deli as a breakfast option. The food at the deli was delicious and low-priced but it was usually pretty crowded due to lack of another breakfast option in the hotel. Everything else was just fine. The rooms were clean and comfortable, the staff was friendly and helpful and they kept the renovation noise down to a minimum.
