I enjoyed the stay, it is an older hotel of 80 plus years and very well maintained. The only problem I had is that a pool and hot tub are advertised, but has not been available for the past few years with no intention of reopening.

Older hotel needing updating. No pool or restaurant. Lounge was only open from 3-9. Bartender was fabulous. We were a part of 5 couples and when we arrived the three people at the desk were just looking at the computers. Did not acknowledge our presence until they could tell we were irritated. No soap in rooms as they said it was on back order. Pet friendly as we saw people arrive with their pets. Walking distance to many shops and restaurants. Great location to see locks. Many workers on the locks stay at the hotel. If you are a light sleeper you may not want to stay here. You hear outside noise, toilets flushing and showers running. Hotel was clean Bery friendly.

This is a historic "downtown" hotel right across the street from the Sault Locks Park and visitor area. Parking is easily accessible. HOWEVER: much seems to have changed since COVID. First, there's no restaurant now, when you could get a dinner with a view at Freighters Restaurant -- but if you search the Internet, you'll find that it is permanently CLOSED. We asked about the Lounge: despite what the website says about "enjoy a drink" at the end of your day, the Lounge does NOT operate daily. The ice maker was out of order -- when I asked about ice at the front desk, I was told that I could go to a party store up the road for a bag. (!!!) And "complimentary breakfast" was the saddest collection of old fruit (one clearly rotting banana) that I've ever seen. The good news: LOTS of dining/cafe/bar options within a 2-minute walk. I would not stay here again. Too expensive and, frankly, a tad deceptive for amenities.

Great location and nice to see some upgrades. Breakfast was disappointing, so was the pool being closed. The fitness room is two treadmills and I am pretty sure one is busted.

The hotel and location are nice. The only problem is there is a picture of a pool and hot tub on this website. After a day on the road, we like to soak in a hot tub. When we got there, they said the pool won't open until 2030. We would have booked another place if we would have known. It's not the hotels fault it's not on their website.

I get that it is an historic hotel but this hotel just looks tired. The carpet on the stairs is heavily soiled and ripped, the furniture in the lobby is old and worn out. The staff is indifferent at best. Wyndham offers some good hotels but it needs to take a close look at this one.

This hotel is not kept up, the couches and carpet have stains all over them. There was hair on the floor as though it wasn't swept. Pool is closed for good (according to them), no restaurant or outdoor area. Breakfast is minimal. If you stay here make sure you watch the account that you use because we were charged for the room by hotels.com and then the hotel turned around and charged us also. When I asked why they charged me again she told me that its not a charge if its pending, yet the money came out of my account. She then called police and had us kicked out of the hotel for questioning my bill. My friend got charged close to $1700 for a $600 room. Google this hotel before you stay because they have a history of embezzlement. The only good thing about it is the location.

I like how close this hotel is to everything. But boy are we upset that we paid 300 for one night to find mold on the bathroom ceiling and a bunch of nasty stains on our couch. I wouldnt even let my kids go near it. The smell of the room was musty and not worth 300 a night...

I love an older historical hotel and appreciate that there will be some areas that need work. However, seeing apparent water damage from ceiling to floor around a window that was literally painted over without fixing is telling me the owners don’t care. Whoever painted it could see the damage but the owner is responsible. The carpets appeared to not be vacuumed, with debris all over the floor. The grout in the bathroom was falling out and pieces all over the counter and shower and floor. And do not tempt me with a good time by having a sign that says Margarita May $5 and not have the bar open the entire time we were there!! Positives: the reception person was super friendly and very helpful and was eager to resolve any issues we may find, before we even went to the room. The location is perfect, right on the main drag, with lots of shopping and dining right there.

Can’t beat the location. The hotel is right across the street from the Lockes. It’s an older hotel, but it is clean. Rooms are small, but it was fine for our family of 5.

The room is good, clean, spacious with good view. The receptionists are nice and polite. However, there is only few pieces of facial tissues in the box in the restroom. Moreover, whenever guests living next to our room (#201) use the water, it makes water noisy sound.

Lobby was beautiful, but thats about it. Rooms were very dated. Honestly furniture was from 30 years ago. Couch had cigarette burns and stains. Screw holes in the room walls that were kinda patched but never finished. Bathroon was gross and smelt of mildew.

The hotel uses Spectrum Cable for their TV provider. Several channels would not work. It happened to be a Saturday and most channels that carried college football games were on the list of those that would not work. The gal at the front desk came to our room to try and fix the problem to no avail. She was pleasant and expressed that the company needs to provide more training to fix such problems. Other than that, the stay was pleasant and comfortable.

Nice hotel, it does NOT have a continental breakfast, it has some pre-packaged pastries - worthless. Coffee was cold at 7AM. Internet was flakey which messed with the TVs as well since they would keep disconnecting or running slow. Had to hard reboot TVs a couple of times to reset them to connect to the network properly. Parking lot has steep angle, they need a dedicated loading/unloading area. The bed was super high, almost needed a step stool. The place was very clean and nice overall. Not a lot of good options in that area so would possibly stay there again despite the issues.

We paid 250 for a night to look at a roof top. We had two double bed room but the 2nd bed blocks half the bathroom door. It also felt like every time the rooms next to us took a shower that it was in our bathroom it was so loud

When we drove into town and looked up directions to the hotel I discovered I had booked a room for the wrong date! On arriving, Michele at the desk assured us that she had a room, and would work something out. She helped me call Expedia (she gave me the number to call!) and was very patient with my confusion in multitasking with my phone. The help I got from Expedia was wonderful, and I was treated with kindness and understanding. After taking our things to our nice room with a view of the locks, we went out for dinner. That was a simple walk across the snowy street. The room was comfortable and quiet, and we had everything we needed. We were able to toast bagels and have fruit and coffee in the lobby at 6 am before we headed out for a great day of birdwatching. We had a great stay and recommend Hotel Ojibway to anyone.

Night shift front desk staff was less than helpful. One room had a plugged toilet and the response was, you just have to wait until morning there is no maintenance staff here and I am not doing anything about it.

I found the rooms unfriendly, sterile and small. The staff unfriendly. The continental breakfast a joke, limited at best. The staff was unfriendly and uninterested. 3 night stay and the second day the bed was not made, there was barely any toilet paper left and no refill available. Parking was fine. This hotel is not kept up, the couches and carpet have stains all over them. There was hair on the floor as though it wasn't swept. Pool is closed for good (according to them), no restaurant or outdoor area. Breakfast is minimal. If you stay here make sure you watch the account that you use because we were charged for the room by hotels.com and then the hotel turned around and charged us also. When I asked why they charged me again she told me that its not a charge if its pending, yet the money came out of my account. She then called police and had us kicked out of the hotel for questioning my bill. My friend got charged close to $1700 for a $600 room. Google this hotel before you stay because they have a history of embezzlement. The only good thing about it is the location.

We love this place! It has a great central location at the major intersection in town. We walked everywhere, and I ran in the mornings along the soo locks park. Very walkable and beautiful parks nearby for walks. The room was generous, the bed and pillows very comfortable (one side slightly squeaky) shower great and lots of outlets. Loved opening the windows at night!! So grateful we could bring our dog too. The staff was ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️!!! The only thing that could be improved is the morning free breakfast, which is basically bagels and muffins… with a little yogurt and fruit. It’d be nice to offer something a little more substantial, but realize you don’t have a kitchen. Perhaps consider contracting with a local eatery…? Long term: bring back restaurant and pecan crusted white fish!!! We’ll be back again for sure. Thank you for everything!

Adorable, quaint early 1900’s boutique hotel. Right next to the Soo Locks park. Our room overlooked the park. Right on the Main Street in the heart of everything. Many dinning options within walking distance. Clean and comfortable.

For this to be a Wyndam Property it is very disappointment that the restaurant has closed and has been rent out for offices. No food. The bar is very limited. No way this should be listed as Trademark Collection by Wyndham. President Bush stayed here years ago. You wouldn't get a president to stay there now.

I found the rooms unfriendly, sterile and small. The staff unfriendly. The continental breakfast a joke, limited at best. The staff was unfriendly and uninterested. 3 night stay and the second day the bed was not made, there was barely any toilet paper left and no refill available. Parking was fine. Holiday had a better offering

Not much. Hotel doesn’t even have water fountain.. hotel advertise they have bar and restaurant on site but they do not have any bar and restaurant. Room has some musty smell. Towel also smells musty.. all in all I sincerely didn’t enjoy my stay.

Hotel is located next to the Soo Locks so great location for watching boats. I do miss the Freighters Restaurant, bar and swimming pool.

Nice hotel, it does NOT have a continental breakfast, it has some pre-packaged pastries - worthless. Coffee was cold at 7AM. Internet was flakey which messed with the TVs as well since they would keep disconnecting or running slow. Had to hard reboot TVs a couple of times to reset them to connect to the network properly. Parking lot has steep angle, they need a dedicated loading/unloading area. The bed was super high, almost needed a step stool. The place was very clean and nice overall. Not a lot of good options in that area so would possibly stay there again despite the issues.

This is a historic "downtown" hotel right across the street from the Sault Locks Park and visitor area. Parking is easily accessible. HOWEVER: much seems to have changed since COVID. First, there's no restaurant now, when you could get a dinner with a view at Freighters Restaurant -- but if you search the Internet, you'll find that it is permanently CLOSED. We asked about the Lounge: despite what the website says about "enjoy a drink" at the end of your day, the Lounge does NOT operate daily. The ice maker was out of order -- when I asked about ice at the front desk, I was told that I could go to a party store up the road for a bag. (!!!) And "complimentary breakfast" was the saddest collection of old fruit (one clearly rotting banana) that I've ever seen. The good news: LOTS of dining/cafe/bar options within a 2-minute walk. I would not stay here again. Too expensive and, frankly, a tad deceptive for amenities.
