Very clean nice spacious room. Close to downtown events and venues which was great! Only suggestion is given price of room would have been nice to have some sort of light continental breakfast choices as opposed to having to pay to eat at the restaurant even just some bagels or donuts/muffins would have been nice. Also a little bummed they have closed down the pool, personally that is one of my highlights of a hotel stay is the pool.

There was a lot of construction on 1st floor.Bathrooms closed , temporary front desk. Bar area open, one waitress for drinks & food . It was very noisy in our rooms, traffic, bands outside, people partying all night. Very disappointed

I was disappointed that I had to pay ($55) for onsite valet parking, no free self parking. The breakfast fee I paid was for what they called the buffet, which was scrambled eggs, 3 slices of bacon, and potatoes. That's it!!! Are room was on the 3rd floor over looking a busy intersection, heard every loud vehicle. The hotel looked like it was under going renovation, not like the pictures.

This hotel is secure. That was important for me, traveling with minor children. After 10pm you have to use your room key to gain access to the budiling, also to use the elevator you have to have a room key. Loved it! Hotel is in a great location and there is a lot of restaurants to choose from that is walkable to and from the hotel. My dislike was the cost for valet and the cost for the overnight parking in the lot across the street. The valet was $50 a night. The lot across the street was $30 per night. The mini fridge in my particular room was warm and the knob to adjust the fridge was gone/broken. Other than that i would stay again.

Perfect Location. Room could be a lot cleaner, very musty carpet smell and AC wasnt reliable. Staff was super friendly, especially the valet gentelman. Would stay agai for sure. Pack some disposable clenjng wipes for the headboard, tables and bathroom and you will be all set.

My room had a distasteful odor—like a funky, dirty rug hamper smell. Housekeeping sprayed Lysol and disinfectant on the surfaces, and I added some perfume as well. That helped to neutralize the unpleasant odor. However, the strong scent of aerosol made the atmosphere difficult to tolerate, for a period as well. I had to keep the door open. But then felt unsafe.

I was truly disappointed in this Hilton Garden Inn. The lobby was almost non-existent. The check in area looked like an old desk placed in the hallway. Our room would have been nice but, the carpet was soaking wet next to the window and an industrial fan was running to dry it out. I booked three rooms and all three rooms had the wet carpet. The staff were very accommodating and did their best to make amends for the wet rooms.

The hotel needed a better cleaning!!. Walls scuffed up. The chair was dusty, dirty and worn out on the armrest. Did some updating, but the walls n bathroom weren’t done that well. Left the 70’s color switches in bathroom. Old popcorn sealing. Def NOT worth the $380 I paid for one night. Bed and pillow were comfy and shower pressure was good. Lobby needs some updating and new furniture. Thought Hiltons were suppose to be upscale? Asked if I could ck out an hr late because my son had an interview at the Dental School. They said no so I just waited in the Lobby for a little over an hr til he was done.

Struggled getting around the building because the valet lane was blocked due to events. More signs might be nice. Beds were super comfortable, elevator was supersonic, easy walk to Comerica and Ford Field. Great entertainment out the window on Gratiot! The staff was incredible! The amount of patience and kindness we saw was great! I admire them all for that level of patience.

Overall, we had a good stay. The room was clean and comfortable. I appreciated that the rooms were quiet, including having soft-close doors that didn’t slam. One downside, the bathroom sink did not drain properly. It almost overflowed when my husband shaved and took about 5 minutes to empty. When I reported this to the front desk upon our departure, and the attendant shrugged and said, “Oh, you just have to wait for it.” One other smallish thing—would recommend providing more towels. Two hand towels, etc, were not enough for two adults. Two bath towels are insufficient, especially when you have long hair, and the towels never dried.

Great staff. Very clean. The only negatives I have was my heater/ac was a little loud and my room , because it was right on the side where really busy street was, was a little loud from street traffic. (But not too bad!) Valet guys and front desk staff were terrific

Perfect walkable location to everything downtown. Had views of all major sporting stadiums/arena from the room. Had some issues with plumbing the first night, but they were quick to mediate. The customer service was top notch—felt like a VIP despite being far from it. Highly recommend staying here!

Walking to the game was nice. Valet lost our vehicle and handed my husband the keys telling him to go find it. The general manager didn’t have a clue what was going on. The front desk workers of the hotel are very nice and helpful.

We truly loved the staff. Michael, our manager on duty could not have been more courteous, professional or helpful.Our room was spotless, when we asked for a couple of extra towels, the housekeeper brought two full sets. My only criticism would be the cost of the breakfast buffet.

The staff went out of there way to make sure my stay was good. Even text during the day to see if I needed anything. This place does it different and it shows. If I could give 10 stars I would. Brianna was wonderful and made a point to say hi whenever she saw me.

Stayed here for a concert at Ford Field, was an easy walk there and back - valet parking 24/7 was also very convenient. (Paid parking at the hotel but was still way cheaper than any event parking around nearby) Nice rooms and views - very clean

This is an exceptional hotel, from the convenient location in regards to the Ford Field Stadium to the excellent service provided by the staff, Michael was patient in funding our reservation, as my name has changed since using my membership! There is a restaurant in the hotel with excellent food, which we really appreciated after spending the entire day at the Stadium for the State Wrestling Tournaments, which start early and end late! The breakfast buffet in the morning is also exceptional with a wide selection of items! It was very good as was again the exceptional service! This is definitely our favorite and we will be back next year!!!

Staff was pretty unwelcoming. From the valet telling us, ppl that don’t pay the $55 a night parking usually don’t like to pay it because they likely don’t have it. To the eye-rolling front desk representative that showed how bothered he was when we asked a question or the a server in their dining facility telling us we had to pay for the uncooked pancakes that I said we weren’t going to eat. When I asked to see the manager his reply was, “there is no manager”, I repeated his answer back to him in question form he then left to the kitchen came back and said “ok you don’t have to pay the pancakes but you have to pay the $8 for the coffee you drank”. This place’s customer services needs some period of instruction on how to engage with their patrons. Their lack of customer service definitely made an impact on our stay. The only positive thing we experienced was, the maintenance staff they were incredibly professional and friendly and helpful.

I was upset the night we checked in, an wrote a horrible review in my head over night. The reason for picking this hotel was that we could leave our car to go to Tigers game and then easily hop on the freeway and head home afterwards. Parking was $55 overnight, which is higher than we pay downtown Atlanta but ok. Then there was a sign up saying if we left car, after check-out we'd be charged $75 and the night clerk wasn't budging. In the morning I decided I pay it, since it was the simplest option, but I was pissed, until I handed over my credit card and was told I'd only be charged another $20, Much more reasonable paying $75 for the 24 hours we were there. If they keep this policy we'd stay again...room and breakfast were good.
