This hotel is great in so many ways - clean, staff is friendly, a Starbucks right in the lobby and a bar and restaurant. The only negative I would give it is the surprise bill of $44 per night to park at the property. Hotels.com "no hidden fees upfront pricing" isn't really true for this property. When I questioned that at checkin the clerk said the hotel doesn't run the parking a third party vendor does. Beware when you use this site - you may be paying quite a bit more to park somewhere.

The Hilton is a good hotel. It's showing a bit of it's age. I am surprised the beds are only doubles, but it was clearly stated in the room description. We could hear people walking in their room above us, but the noise was manageable. Parking is quite expensive, but again, clearly stated in the description. We would stay here again, if we don't have a car.

Needed a place to sleep for my senior mom and me for a very early morning flight and this hotel was across the street for the airport and had shuttle service that started at 5 am. Perfect for what we needed. Front desk agent and shuttle driver were helpful, friendly and professional.

To charge forty six dollars a day for parking is absolutely atrocious. We literally parked in the short term parking at john wayne airport and literally saved sixteen dollars a day in parking by simply just walking across the street. Obviously people like me that are from the area know better, but those that are visiting from a different state or city within California wouldn't know to do what I did. So hopefully those that are reading this review, know that you can park over at john wayne airport, it's less than two tenths of a mile away from the front entrance at the hilton, and you will save yourself sixteen dollars a day in parking.

Hotel smelled very clean as you walked in. Check in was fine, however the floor we were on smelled like weed. I did notify the front desk about it. Both days I was there that floor smelled more towards the afternoon. I had to call the front desk because kids were calling my room around 9 almost 10pm and hanging up, that was frustrating. Front desk said to unplug the phone since they didn’t know how to block the line? Not what I expected to hear! Also kids running up and down the hallway! I did end up asking for a late check-out since I couldn’t sleep and they did give me until 1pm which I appreciated.

Right across from the airport. The staff was very nice. Thx on service was prompt. The outdoor and pool area were also nice. The room we stayed in was fine. It felt like more attention could have been made to cleaning details, like the bathroom. Walls and near the light switches were dirty. Parking price is steep.

Checking in was nice and easy. The room had someone’s black curly hair all over the shower, but the beds were nice. I really liked the outdoor area until security came and informed my husband and I at 10pm that the fire pit is going to be turned off and the string lights will be turned off too because previous guests got too loud. However, there was a wedding reception and you could hear their music / base outside in the outdoor area. It made no sense at all because many adults were actually relaxing who made little to no noise sitting at the fire pits.

The hotel staff is friendly and helpful. The beds in the rooms are nicely comfortable and plush. The issue I had took place at their restaurant. Their buffet breakfast is $30 per person, plus 20% imposed fee, plus 10% CA sales tax, plus tip!!! Breakfast for 2 adults & 1 child totaled over $120+!!! I wasn’t informed the cost of breakfast until the end when the bill arrived. Unpleasant surprise!! Also, make sure to look at your bowls and plates; several of their bowls were filthy and not properly washed!!

My bed sheets were not clean--I'm pretty sure they weren't changed after the previous visitor's stay--that is just disgusting. You can smell the sheets as you lie there. The towels smelled clean but the sheets and especially the pillow cases did not. They haven't been washed or changed!

This was the second time I've stayed at this hotel for an on-site chess tournament (roughly 400 players). Incredibly helpful, pleasant and accommodating staff, particularly at the front desk. I spent nearly all my time at the hotel. This type of event can be a bit trying for a hotel's staff and yet you'd never know it from the way everyone I encountered was acting including those in housekeeping, security, coffee kiosk, shuttle drivers, restaurant and as mentioned previously, the front desk.

On arrival there was an issue with my confirmation number. It was resolved in a timely manner with one of the employees. My stay was from July 4 through July 6. I received a phone call from the hotel in regards to my stay saying that my reservation was only through July 5, which was incorrect because I had the confirmation number which gave the dates and I was in a softball tournament with my daughter and cannot leave the game to go resolve the issue. The employee was very rude and disrespectful and demanded that I I come to result the issue immediately that I was going to be charged extra fees due to the fact that I overstayed, which I knew indeed I did not. I try to negotiate that I can email them my confirmation and a picture of my dates that I had reserved the hotel room for and she said that would not do that she that I had to come in. I told her that I would try to get there as soon as I could unfortunately I was not able to get there until after my daughter games were over. When I got back to the front desk, I was informed by the Night Shift employee that my room keys were no longer work and that I had to resolve the issue and they would have to call Expedia to find out what happened to my reservation, it was resolved, but unfortunately, the employee That I receive a phone call was very unwilling to work in her attitude, and her tone was just unprofessional and ever since.

I was disappointed in this Hilton. When I checked in they didn’t tell me I’d have to pay for parking or breakfast. It would have been nice to know I’d have to pay for parking ahead of time. I didn’t see it listed on the website anywhere. And I didn’t see the sign that breakfast was $26.95 each before we sat down to eat. Again it would have been nice to find that info on the website before our stay. This hotel is also really loud. We were on the second floor facing the pool and there were staff out by the pool until after 1:00 am. They seemed like they were either taking a break or enjoying themselves after work. But they wouldn’t stop talking. They were talking really loud but the walls are so thin it sounded like they right in our room with us. Also, the girl at the front desk was rude. I asked her for a luggage cart when we’re leaving and instead of checking if there were any available she just told me no. So I asked the valet and he checked and found one. They asked me to leave my id with the front desk to make sure I brought it back which was fine but I had to deal with the rude front desk girl again. This time she just took my id and walked off. She seemed like she was bothered that she would have to help me. I loved the barista in the lobby. He made my coffee perfect and he was really nice. He was the highlight of our stay.

When we arrived at 230 am we had to wait over an hour to check in because the computer system was updating . Had to pay 50 dollars a day to park, the lots were full , had to wait for someone to leave to park. Lobby was nice , but floors had different patterns of carpet , cottage cheese ceiling , shower had weak flow. Had unknown charges to account .

Overall it was a really stay and very high quality. You can't beat the close proximity to John Wayne Airport and the free shuttle service. The only downside for me was the body lotion dispenser in the bathroom was empty and the neighboring guests doors would slam shut and wake me up.

We have stayed at this hotel several times. It is central to the Irvine area and directly opposite the John Wayne airport. Staff are very friendly and efficient. many have been working there for several years which is always a good sign. You can park right in front of the hotel. Shuttle to the airport is availalbe.

The staff was nothing but amazing in every aspect i got to interact with them for. The shuttle service was super helpful and convenient, the resturant service downstairs was fantastic as i got to enjoy some amazing breakfast to start the day, delicious dinners and some awesome drinks from the bar.

Staff was very good. Breakfast was good as well at Trestles and Tillis, though a bit pricey at $30. The automatic 20% gratuity is way high as, though the servers were helpful, they basically just pour you a drink since it's a buffet. Worst part of the stay is the exorbitant $46 a day parking. Overall, a very good option to stay in Airport area and will be coming back.

Computer systems were done for 3 hours so could not check in until 7:00pm! There was a Chess convention & the whole atmosphere of the hotel was MISERABLE!!!! Lobby was ALWAYS congested with many many people & the noise level was off the charts. I won’t go into how my room key never worked & was constantly at the front desk 😡 Will never go back!!!!!
