Bob W was a great place to stay in the middle of the city center of Turku. The place was quiet, clean and the room was wonderfully designed. The neighborhood breakfast arrangement and complimentary gym card worked very well - a great way to use the city and taste new food. There were however some information I wished I could find in advance, such as the location of the luggage room (6th floor). There were also too few luggage lockers, so I hope more are available for safe keeping in between check out and traveling next time. I did not receive my check-in codes in time, but a quick message to Bob sorted it out immediately. I will look for Bob W for my next (more) sustainable hotel stay!

Comfortable and modern spot to stay. The kitchenette was a nice feature for storing food which allowed us to go to the grocery store instead of eating out every meal. The building is very secure and in the centre of everything. Laundry was easy to use very convenient to have. Would suggest paying in advance otherwise you’ll need to message Bob W in advance of arrival to pay in order for your door codes to populate as everything is done on the app/website.

I like the rooms and facilities and the great location on Market Square. Also surprised at how quiet it was. The elevator stopped working on the last day, but that was the only drama.

It's an interesting concept and well executed. There's no front desk or lobby; instead there's good automated communications via email, WhatsApp, etc. My little studio was pretty nice. I especially liked the locally sourced furniture and other items. But ultimately I didn't love my one night stay. The room are nice, but the building is older. There's a single, smallish elevator that can't handle the traffic when the property is busy. Lines frequently form. Not too bad to take the stairs, if you are on a lower floor and without much luggage, but if the opposite, be prepared to wait. The automated luggage room doesn't have enough lockers to store your stuff after check-out completely safely. If you want to open a window for fresh air, you need a special tool, but it only exists in a common area and might not be there when you want it -- so at least two extra trips out of your room just to try to open the window. Bob W. stands for "best of both worlds" and, while there are many nice things about this innovative property, I think I prefer a more traditional hotel.

Trevligt boende på central plats invid torget. På 5. våningen hördes dock inget oljud. Fräscht och fint rum. Snyggt badrum. Digital nyckel som fungerade perfekt. Saknade inte reception. Frukosten på Fazers café var god och tillräcklig. Andra frukoststället (Naantalin aurinkoinen) hade dåliga öppethållningstider. Tyvärr blev vi inlåsta i hissen två gånger. Sista kvällen och morgonen fungerade hissen inte alls. För övrigt kan vi varmt rekommendera Bob W.

This was our first time staying at a Bob W hotel and we will do it again. Very comfortable stay. It was hot in Turku and the A/C worked great. It was nice to have access to a kitchenette and be able to do laundry.

I can be relaxed, because the room was clean. There was a good supply of crockery, and a hairdryer. Laundry was available at no extra charge. A pantry attached to the laundry allowed us to quickly replenish what we ran out of. In front of this hotel, there is a supermarket and a microwave and fridge were provided in the room, which also helped to keep food costs down. There was also a nifty service where you could take photos and develop them on the spot with an Instax in the room. A great location to explore Turku, right in the middle of everything. Nice room with a good bathroom, everything spotless. Excellent breakfast at a nearby cafe, nicer than the usual tired buffet fare. The cards to the local gym and the Polaroid camera were nice touches. The only real complaint was the temporary lack of an elevator. I realize it could hardly have been avoided but better communication (any communicarion) about the issue beforehand and an attempt to put us on a lower floor would have been nice as the repeated trek to the sixth floor (122 steps) was not fun. But apart from that, quite brilliant.

Ruhig und angenehm. Die beiden Fläschchen mit dem Raumduft habe ich aus dem Zimmer verbannt. Dann brannten meine Augen endlich nicht mehr. Der Grund für diese Parfümierung war ein schlecht konstruierter Abfluss aus dem es faulig roch. (Siehe Bild). Es wäre besser diesen Konstruktionsfehler zu beheben als den schlechten Geruch mit Parfüm zu übertünchen.

Estuve en un apto de 1 dormitorio con salón y cocina. Equipado con absolutamente todo lo necesario, tambien en la cocina, quizás la cama doble un poco estrecha (no king ni queen size) pero muy cómoda. El baño grande, nuevo y limpisimo. Por poner un pero diría que una máquina de café de capsulas tipo nespresso hubiese sido mejor que café de filtro.

The positives are that the property is very modern, staff is very friendly and the rooms as well as the building as a whole is exceptionally clean! With that said, this hotel was miserable for me! You can hear noise coming from every single direction all day and night: people walking in the hall outside, people talking, coughing, sneezing in the rooms next to you and above you. Doors slamming all throughout the hallway. The big one is the elevator. The elevator makes so much noise all day and night, making it a challenge to relax or sleep at any time of day. As far as 24/7 digital customer service, I had inquired twice, one time being a simple question to ask where the laundry room was. Neither time did I receive a response. Instead i had to alter my plans to track down a staff member (who was very friendly) during the limited time they are there and ask her. I would recommend to post it in the room. I would not recommend this place at all if you want peace and quiet. Poor experience.

This is a lovely aparthotel - an apartment building converted into little short-term rentals. The studio was cozy and had everything you need for a short stay, including some kitchen utensils. The location is really convenient and close to everything. One thing to note is that all communications were via Whatsapp or the Bob W app/page. This worked out well for me, but be aware that you need to log on to get things like the key code and room number.

Really great apartment style hotel with an excellent location right in the city centre. The apartment was well appointed with a small kitchen area with a small table and chair. Few items of crockery and cutlery provided. Good sized bed and plenty of storage space. Decent sized bathroom again with plenty of space to put toiletries etc. Only a couple of minor gripes - a Polaroid camera was available in the room but discovered it had no film in it - unfortunately only found this out just as we were about to check out! Luggage lockers were available in a separate room at the top of the building. However there were only about 12 of them and they appeared to be permanently occupied so not much use to us. There is no hotel desk so check in is via an App with an access code sent to mobile for room and building access but worked seamlessly so no issues at all. All in all an excellent base for a few days in Turku

Bei Fragen kann Bob W. kontaktiert werden, hier kommt schnell eine Antwort. Wir würden es jederzeit wieder buchen.

The check-in process was a bit difficult and I had to contact Hotels.com a couple of times to get the online check-in done. However, after that, communication was excellent by Whatsapp. The room was brand new and had several small gifts for us. The pillows could be firmer but otherwise everything was excellent.

The place is amazing. Brand new rooms and a good eye for the details. The welcoming and contact with the Whatsapp representation is warm en up to standards. All for the best service and smiles, even though there is not staff present on site. Cannot add any negatives at all. 5 stars

This was my first visit in Bob W, but not the last :) It took me a bit of effort and time to learn and apply the non-key system. Because of the many e-mails from hotels.com and Bow W I did not find the link to the guest area easily (and I couldn't find it via the Hotels.com app either.) But after I fond the e-mail with the link everything worked fine. I especially appreciate the frequent communication by Bob W via Whatsapp making sure eveything was fine with my stay.

Fantastic studio rooms. Nice treats. Great coffee, quality chocolate and toiletries. Pulls out all the stops with gym passes and yoga classes. But for me falls short on providing reassurance with their keyless entry system and poor WhatsApp communication. For ,e I prefer a key and if 24/7 contactability is offered it has to be guaranteed.

Really great apartment style hotel with an excellent location right in the city centre. The apartment was well appointed with a small kitchen area with a small table and chair. Few items of crockery and cutlery provided. Good sized bed and plenty of storage space. Decent sized bathroom again with plenty of space to put toiletries etc. Only a couple of minor gripes - a Polaroid camera was available in the room but discovered it had no film in it - unfortunately only found this out just as we were about to check out! Luggage lockers were available in a separate room at the top of the building. However there were only about 12 of them and they appeared to be permanently occupied so not much use to us. There is no hotel desk so check in is via an App with an access code sent to mobile for room and building access but worked seamlessly so no issues at all. All in all an excellent base for a few days in Turku

A great location to explore Turku, right in the middle of everything. Nice room with a good bathroom, everything spotless. Excellent breakfast at a nearby cafe, nicer than the usual tired buffet fare. The cards to the local gym and the Polaroid camera were nice touches. The only real complaint was the temporary lack of an elevator. I realize it could hardly have been avoided but better communication (any communicarion) about the issue beforehand and an attempt to put us on a lower floor would have been nice as the repeated trek to the sixth floor (122 steps) was not fun. Bob W was a great place to stay in the middle of the city center of Turku. The place was quiet, clean and the room was wonderfully designed. The neighborhood breakfast arrangement and complimentary gym card worked very well - a great way to use the city and taste new food. There were however some information I wished I could find in advance, such as the location of the luggage room (6th floor). There were also too few luggage lockers, so I hope more are available for safe keeping in between check out and traveling next time. I did not receive my check-in codes in time, but a quick message to Bob sorted it out immediately. I will look for Bob W for my next (more) sustainable hotel stay!

Trevligt boende på central plats invid torget. På 5. våningen hördes dock inget oljud. Fräscht och fint rum. Snyggt badrum. Digital nyckel som fungerade perfekt. Saknade inte reception. Frukosten på Fazers café var god och tillräcklig. Andra frukoststället (Naantalin aurinkoinen) hade dåliga öppethållningstider. Tyvärr blev vi inlåsta i hissen två gånger. Great location in a lovely city. Really handy to have access to the laundry "washeteria" as we are travelling for several weeks. Kitchen facilites were also very convenient.

Very wierd. I booked 2 nights. First night everything was ok. Clean room, I was able to enter the room (remember there is no reception and I arrived at midnight). The second day was a nightmare. When I arrived after a full day in work, at 17:30, the room was totally a mess. The bed totally ”upside down”, sheets on the floor. Looked like the war has started and someone just left. It took approx 20 -30 min to get in touch with the hotel. Additionally 2 h more before I as able to use the room. I went out because I was not able to use the room. No explanation what happened (mistake?). They promised refund of the second night first . Then they offered 50 percent off for next stay for 1 night, which I didn’t want to accept. It took 3 additional days (!!!) before the final confirmation. I still don’t have any voucher. They just said I sjukdom contact them next time again. So the concept of not having any reception, no people on site doesn’t really work smoothly when there is som problem. Very poor service. People chatting were helpful but they had no power to so anything and that’s why it took so long. But is for sure cheap to have 1 person supporting all the hotels in different cities/countries. I will try to choose another hotel next time
