This place is pretty good. Its changed hands somewhat recently so a lot of reviews that talk about the place being dirty are now outdated. My room was perfectly clean, if a little outdated. Confortable bed, clean linens, free soap. Check in was friendly, the views is a great place to eat. Swimming pool is however more suited to children, quite small. Its also not "minutes walk\' to halls gap, its over 3km. Can you walk it? Of course you could but thats a half hour. I\'d stay there again.

The room was clean with a nice smell, plenty of towels and toiletries. Wildlife just grazing on the lawn, small but sufficient pool. Met the staff the following day and were so friendly.

Lovely spacious rooms, very clean and tidy with amazing views of the Grampians. Constant visits from the native wildlife, great pool to swim in for the kids. Super close to all Halls Gap has to offer. Would definitely stay again

The motel itself is a little tired, but it has extensive grounds and wildlife wandering around. Unique! We saw kangaroos and emus wandering about. Fantastic!

the room was absolutely filthy & so unclean there was long black hair in the shower drain & i don' have black hair. there was dust every where just as well neither of us are ashtmatic the amount of soap scum & mould on the shower door was beond belief & the pillows we think come off the ark so lumpy & begond their use by date. we would never in our willdest dreams stay at the property again the most disgusting room we have had the misfortune to stay in

Actually quite enjoyed our stay. The room was comfortable and warm over a cold wet weekend. Spartan in appearance but spotlessly clean. Comfortable bed and a good sized television. The views of wildlife from the front window was spectacular. Would happily stay there again. Great value.

The property was well located a couple of Kms out of Halls Gap which we felt was ideal. While the rooms were of an older style they were clean and tidy. The only minor issue was the quality of the TV. The picture was often very difficult to watch.

The sliding door to my room had a gap down the bottom which let in the cold breeze and had plenty of room for creepy crawlies to get in. The reverse cycle heating was insufficient. While it was better than nothing it definitely did not warm the room up. Thankfully the electric blanket worked well. Plenty of wildlife around the property with a spectacular view which made for lots of wonderful photo opportunities.

It was a nice stay. The room was tidy, complete with a microwave and toaster which was handy. The views of the nearby hills were amazing. It’s obviously an old motel though, very tired looking, the mattress was uncomfortable and the fluorescent lighting outside the windows shining into the room was another annoyance. Probably wouldn’t stay here again.

A beautiful area in which to stay. The room was spacious, the beds vwry comfortable and the in room facilities adequate The only real criticism is that we thought that the beds would have been made and rubbish removed on our first out of two days. However, qe are very happy to recommend your motel to friends.

The motel itself was a bit old, but the location is great. Our aircon didn't work at first but the owner came to our room and help working on it. There were kangaroos jumping around the area, and we could see from our room. Overall, nice experience at Grampians.

The place is beautiful. Check in codes were not sent and no reception. The restaurant was closed and had to go into town to get food. The room has notices if you use the cutlery and don’t wash it there is a $20/- charge and if the room is messy $50/- charge. There is no staff around at all.

We enjoyed our one night stay. Had a lovely meal in the restaurant. Beautiful settings and superb views of the Grampians with lots of kangaroos around. The accomodation is comfortable but dated but this is reflected in the charges to stay there. Great Value for your money. We would definitely stay again.

Great location in the middle of the fabulous Grampians at Halls Gap. Spacious room with all the basics covered. Friendly and welcoming staff. Dinner at the restaurant was ample and filling in a pleasant atmosphere near the wood burning fire!

The friendliness of the reception staff particularly Tania and John made us feel very welcome and our stay extremely enjoyable. Waking up to kookaburras and watching the kangaroos roam freely from our room was fantastic. The dinner restaurant menu prepared and cooked by John was delicious.

Restaurant doesnt have a liquor license at this time so could not serve alcohol. Although the pizzas we took away were huge and very tasty and Had beers in our room. Otherwise fantastic views and wild life in abundance. Comfy stay.

The motel is set in amazing grounds with friendly wildlife, views to the mountains on both sides. The rooms are dated and bathrooms not great but good shower. The restaurant was really good and the barman Paul so friendly. He is an asset for sure.
