Star hotel Michelangelo is excellently located - 5-minute walk from St Peter’s Square. The restaurant is fantastic - breakfast is well-stocked and tasty (ie croissant, eggs etc). Dinner had an excellent selection and certainly first rate.

Property and all staff extremely friendly and helpful in anyway possible. Ice machine was so great rather than running to bar all the time. Walking distance to lots of restaurants and walkable to most attractions. Simply loved this place and will definitely recommend to anyone!

The location right next to the Vatican is great, but it is far away from a lot of other attractions. The ac in the room is controlled by the front desk. The hotel did offer free parking at the back of the building.

We had a great time at the Starhotel Michaelangelo. The customer service was excellent, the hotel was clean, modern and fashionable. The location is excellent.. the area is safe and quiet and only a block from the vatican. We loved having a balcony and being able to see St. Peter’s basilica from our room. Great dining options nearby and the rooms were large. So glad we booked this hotel.

Walking distance to St. Peter’s Basilica. Breakfast is ok, hot boiled egg is ice cold, crunchy bacon is steamed are few items that are not appealing. If you stay few days, you will get the same exact menu everyday; no choices. Sad thing they only provide complimentary water in rooms only on the first day of arrival even though they charge high fees every day. Saw food service trays outside for more than twelve hours outside in the hallway room.

The young girl on the dayshift is rude I went to ask her a question and she said like everyone else here you want to be first that was not the question I asked her they say their rooms are sound proof they are not there we’re young kids running around the hotel throwing things screaming and so loud we could not sleep I was on floor one I cannot imagine the staff did not hear all that noise I called down and they came up and it stopped then on our last day the air conditioner ran all night and day we could not shut it off and lastly the taller doorman needs to greet people coming in and not have a frown on his face not a personable person the guy that helps you with your bags is wonderful friendly and helpful

The room is large, well appointed, and clean. They easily accommodated late checkout, staff is super friendly and nice. The location is unbeatable as it is close to restaurants and is walking distance to the Vatican and in a safe neighborhood. Good value.

Leider gibt es zu dieser Unterkunft mehr Negatives als Positives zu berichten. Positiv war auf jeden Fall die Lage des Hotels, die für unsere Bedürfnisse sehr gut passte. Sehr nahe am Petersdom, 20 Minuten zu Fuß ins Zentrum oder mit dem Roller in 5-7 Minuten. Die Sauberkeit hat bis auf Ausnahmen beim Frühstücksbuffet auch gepasst. Negativ: die Lüftung im Zimmer war sehr laut. Nach 3 Tagen und mehrmaligem Bitten, hat das Personal es erst geschafft die Lüftung komplett abzudrehen. Das Personal gab uns bei Ankunft eine Falsche Info, was dazu führte, dass wir an einem Tag kein Frühstück mehr bekommen haben. Das war eine absolute Frechheit! Lt. Info UND auch lt. der im Zimmer auffindbaren Unterlagen des Hotel ist das Frühstücksbuffet bis 10:30, unter der Woche scheint es aber nur bis 10:00 zu gehen. Als Antwort bekamen wir, wir hätte ja im Aufzug nachlesen können! Entschuldigung bitte? a) Ihr Personal gab uns die Auskunft bis 10:30! b) Ihre Infos die im Zimmer aufliegen sagen bis 10:30! c) Im Aufzug ist KEINE Info zum Frühstück bzw. den Frühstückszeiten! d) Wieso sollte ich nochmals irgendwo etwas nachlesen, was ich bereits auf meinem Zimmer nachgelesen habe UND mir ihr Personal gesagt hat!?! Weiters ist die Sauberkeit beim Frühstücksbuffet zu bemängeln, es waren immer schmutzige Teller dabei. Ich habe das Frühstück dazu gebucht, weil einige Bewertungen das gute Frühstück hervorgehoben haben. Das kann ich nur in aller Stärke dementieren. Das Frühstück war alles andere als gu

Convenient, clean room. Air conditioner would make a terrible sound about once each hour. Had to sleep with ear plugs because of this. Breakfast was ok, but the coffee provided in the run was just brown water without any flavour. Had to leave premedis for decent coffee. Staff were very nice and the hotel was clean. I paid premium price but did not get a room with a balcony.

We had a great time at the Starhotel Michaelangelo. The customer service was excellent, the hotel was clean, modern and fashionable. We stayed at the family room. It is basically two connected single rooms. The rooms were tiny. Just enough space to walk around the bed. We were not impressed by the size of the rooms for the price they charged us. Location of the hotel is not that convenient. It is right behind Vatican. If you want to visit Vatican throughout your stay this is the right place for you but all the other tourist attractions are far from this hotel. The hotel is 30-35 minute walk from the nearest metro station, which means you have to get a cab to anywhere you want to visit and back. The rooms and lobby was clean. We had breakfast included. The buffet was fine, nothing special just the minimum standard buffet food. Overall for the price they charged us this was more like a 3.5 star hotel.

The hotel was spacious and clean. The area had shops and restaurants, and was very close to the Vatican and St Peter’s Basilica. It wasn’t walking distance to the other main sites in Rome such as the Colosseum, Spanish Steps etc but the front desk staff easily called a taxi when requested. Check in and Check out were smooth and staff were friendly. However I did feel uncomfortable during check out when the person the front desk who checked me out asked for a tip for the front desk staff. I have traveled to many different countries , cities and this is the first time this has been asked of me. I asked if there was a box or envelope to put the money in , and he said no I can give it directly to him and he’ll put it in the back. It felt a little suspicious and scam like.

The hotel was nice but staff were rude when you asking for help. We got told we had breakfast included when we checked in. So we went down for breakfast the next morning to find out we had to pay but we were not informed untill we got breakfast. 15 euro each for tea and toast!! We didnt eat in there again. Staff member was very rude in the dining area. Great location and great restaurants around the hotel within a short distance

I have to say, I expected more. It did not start off well when we arrived. My friend and I were dropped off by a taxi and the taxi driver helped take our luggage down, but there was a gentleman there from the hotel who did not offer to help us with our luggage. He just watched me, 6 months pregnant and my friend who is female, struggle to move our luggage into the hotel. The taxi driver was not happy and told him something, but he just stared at us with as if we bothered him. We dragged our luggage inside and I promptly asked check in if they help with luggage being that I am 6 months pregnant. She said something to another person but didn’t respond to me. Meanwhile, the same gentleman who did not help us just stared at us every time he saw us. Another gentleman did come along later to take our luggage up but it felt like the other guy did not want to go below his pay grade. He did not even hold the door open for us ladies. Needless to say, we were not impressed. They even charged us items in the fridge that they never told us about. The other hotel we stayed at prior was so much better and gave 5 star service. I would think twice about staying at this hotel. While in Italy I was treated so kindly by other people as I am pregnant, but not this hotel. I was hugely disappointed.

Everyone was very friendly and the hotel is beautiful and nice. The breakfast was outstanding! The only thing I didn’t like was that the hotel was the location. It was somewhat far from many of the touristy places so you had to order an uber and they were expensive.

The hotel's location was excellent and so close to St. Peter's Square. Visiting places in and around the Vatican is walkable. Room was clean and staff was efficient. The view from the balcony wasn't spectacular so you can skip booking that room if you're looking to save money. Good value overall!

Die Mitarbeiter am Empfang sind freundlich und engagiert. Das Frühstück eine Katastrophe, um einen Cappuccino muss man betteln und vom Personal wird man ignoriert. So etwas haben wir in Italien noch nicht erlebt.
