Hotel elegante in una zona molto frequentata e caotica. Nei dintorni non ci sono ristoranti occidentali, se non in park street (20 minuti a piedi nel caos o 20 minuti di taxi). L'hotel potrebbe provvedere ad un servizio ristorazione per la clientela internazionale. Non capisco a cosa serva un inserviente che stà tutto il giorno in ascensore a selezionare i piani per i clienti! Per il resto molto bene

It had cockroaches in the room- spotted small cockroaches in teh bathroom sink on multiple days. They changed the room. Overall experience - quite bad. Staff was unfelpful want requested to accomodate an additional person in their guest roster, though only 2 of us stayed in the room for 9 days. We wanted them swap one guest with another for some of the days but they were unwilling to help. Power cut - once got stuck in the elevator due to power disruption - though it restarted shortly but the claustrophobic feeling during the power cut in the elevator in hot weather was something else. Won't recommend

Cet hotel merite ses 4 etoiles. Les chambres sont bien aménagées. Le buffet du petit dejeuner et celui du soir ont un excellent rapport qualité prix. Les appareils dans ́la salle de gymnastique sont neufs. Enfin, le personnel est tres attentionné. L’hotel est à deux pas du metro Esplanade qui est tres pratique.

There is an UNMARKED switch outside the bathroom which controls the water heater. It is easy to turn off with light switches. and I believe when the room key is removed.

I recently stayed at the peerless Hotel in Kolkata for a week located near Park Street, which is one of the city's most vibrant areas, and I had a wonderful experience. Rooms cleanliness could be seriouly improved, to the standards advertised. We were in rooms 1105 and 1106. Occasionally roaches, and a lot of dust in the rear and underneath the beds. We had to address it to be fixed, but a tip was always subtly requested by housekeepers. Staff, extremely polite and always with a smile. But our taxis to the airport were organised by 2 senior Bell men. They gave us a promising 600 roopies for 2 vehicles each. When we boarded the vehicles, the booking was for another destination matching 600 roopies,not the Airport!!!! After arguing with the Uber drivers, we finally paid 2000 roupees for each taxis. Breakfast buffet: it is advertised as international. THAT IS A WRONG DESCRIPTION. MOSTLY indian food, even yogurts are local. The only international food were omelette and corn flakes. Breakfast clearly needs to be improved. But overall, the GM was extremely condescendant, briefed his staff to care for us above expectations. Location is very good too.

This was one of the dirtiest hotels I’ve ever been to. The carpets both inside and outside the rooms weee really dirty. Bathroom were in a really shabby condition and in fact I am pretty sure it even had mold in it. For the money they charge it was at best a one star hotel experience. I would never stay here again.

I would have rated this hotel a full 5 stars but for one disappointing experience. On our last day I had a very early flight but my companion wasn’t leaving until late morning. I checked out at 5:30 AM (the reservation was in my name and credit card.) I specifically told the desk clerk my companion was still in the room and would be having breakfast later. He assured me it would not be an issue, and breakfast was included in the room. Later, my companion was told the opposite - they were denied breakfast. How sad that something as simple as breakfast can ruin a great stay - and a hotel review. Other than the above, the food was good and the suite was superb.

Excellent team and always attended with warm smiles but the hotel being on busy main road & near central bus stop, it was too noisy since very early morning even at top floor. Noise of loudspeakers & constant honking was a challenge. At the same, the area is quite vibrant and especially during Christmas-New Year. Ventured authentic foods across age old restaurants around along with awesome foods from Aheli (in-house restaurant). Shopping at New Market was an added point. Authentic Indian Handloom items for Handloom House at Lindsay Street was a bonus.
Excellent team and always attended with warm smiles but the hotel being on busy main road & near central bus stop, it was too noisy since very early morning even at top floor. Noise of loudspeakers & constant honking was a challenge. At the same, the area is quite vibrant and especially during Christmas-New Year. Ventured authentic foods across age old restaurants around along with awesome foods from Aheli (in-house restaurant). Shopping at New Market was an added point. Rooms cleanliness could be seriouly improved, to the standards advertised. We were in rooms 1105 and 1106. Occasionally roaches, and a lot of dust in the rear and underneath the beds. We had to address it to be fixed, but a tip was always subtly requested by housekeepers. Staff, extremely polite and always with a smile. But our taxis to the airport were organised by 2 senior Bell men. They gave us a promising 600 roopies for 2 vehicles each. When we boarded the vehicles, the booking was for another destination matching 600 roopies,not the Airport!!!! After arguing with the Uber drivers, we finally paid 2000 roupees for each taxis. Breakfast buffet: it is advertised as international. THAT IS A WRONG DESCRIPTION. MOSTLY indian food, even yogurts are local. The only international food were omelette and corn flakes. Breakfast clearly needs to be improved. But overall, the GM was extremely condescendant, briefed his staff to care for us above expectations. Location is very good too.

The staff doesn’t respond to phone calls from the room, one has to come down from the room to the reception desk to talk to them. Same with in room dining .. . Front desk are always confused and unorganized.

As a returning guest, I am deeply disappointed with my recent stay at this hotel. While our first visit was excellent, this second experience fell significantly short of expectations. The service quality has deteriorated considerably, particularly at the front desk. Despite having confirmed reservations for two superior rooms, we faced numerous challenges: Major Issues Encountered: 1. Unresponsive customer support phone line 2. Extended check-in delays due to "rooms not being ready" 3. Room type discrepancy - given lower category rooms than booked, with a casual suggestion to "adjust for one night" 4. Misleading website photos - advertised images are from the original building, while we were placed in the new building without reception facilities 5. Extremely poor room service responsiveness requiring multiple follow-ups The staff's default response to any concern was simply "this is our policy," showing little regard for guest satisfaction. For a hotel charging premium rates, the service standards are unacceptably low. The disconnect between price point and service quality is striking. Excellent team and always attended with warm smiles but the hotel being on busy main road & near central bus stop, it was too noisy since very early morning even at top floor. Noise of loudspeakers & constant honking was a challenge. At the same, the area is quite vibrant and especially during Christmas-New Year. Ventured authentic foods across age old restaurants around along with awesome foods from Aheli (in-house restaurant). Shopping at New Market was an added point. Authentic Indian Handloom items for Handloom House at Lindsay Street was a bonus.

I would have rated this hotel a full 5 stars but for one disappointing experience. On our last day I had a very early flight but my companion wasn’t leaving until late morning. I checked out at 5:30 AM (the reservation was in my name and credit card.) I specifically told the desk clerk my companion was still in the room and would be having breakfast later. He assured me it would not be an issue, and breakfast was included in the room. Later, my companion was told the opposite - they were denied breakfast. How sad that something as simple as breakfast can ruin a great stay - and a hotel review. Other than the above, the food was good and the suite was superb.

Everything was good as expected of 4 star hotel. Property was spacious and clean. Food was OK. All the staff were polite and helpful apart from some staff at the restaurant who were in their own world rather than looking after the guests. The hotel was wonderful. I was a solo traveler and felt very safe here. The concierge Amit seemed to be looking out for me. He was very helpful in everyway. I was able to walk to India Museum from this hotel as well as Saint John's Church for the Black hole of Kolkata memorial. The breakfast in the morning was very nice, although the staff did seem to have a hard time keeping everything fully stocked. I would definitely stay again.
