The other place I usually stay at has pillows I don't like so I bring my own, and the heater/AC unit is very loud, and I've found bugs, and the carpet is a bit ragged. In contrast, Hotel Sylva's bed and pillows are very comfortable and the heater/AC unit is quiet, and no bugs and no carpet. My parking space to the ground floor room made "moving in" very quick and easy. I didn't watch TV, but I turned it on before I left and it looked like there are a lot of viewing options and a quality TV. I was impressed with the black "Makeup" cloths. I usually bring my own because I hate to leave makeup on white cloths at hotels. It is nice not to have to travel home with a wet cloth. The coffee in the lobby smelled good. They don't have someone in the lobby 24 hours per day. The worst part of my stay was exiting the parking lot. Because of a parked truck, there was absolutely no line of sight for any oncoming traffic in the one-way Mill Street. One has to turn left. Earlier in the morning, I heard a long car horn blow, so someone may have had the same problem and almost had an accident. We tried out the rocking chairs which were great. There are pretty rose bushes to look at. Know there is some road noise, and the view for some rooms is of parked vehicles. I wish the parking spaces next to the hotel (reserved lot for Fusion) were available at night. Yet, this is a nice place to stay.

They were extremely accommodating for my request for a ground floor with parking right in front of my room. In the lobby was all kinds of extra items like Keurig creamer, sugar towels, etc., that you could come and get extra if needed they were extremely attentive. Rooms were very clean and updated. Lots of food options as well as 3 great breweries in walking distance. There is many hiking options close by!

We loved our quick stop in Sylva. I loved that there was a code and no key. The communication via email and text was wonderful. The room was spotless and very accommodating. The rockers were a terrific way to rock away the stress of traveling. If you want comfort and quiet, this is the place.

The renovations that they did are awesome. I did have a little mini fridge in my room, access to movies and it was very comfortable. The town of Sylva is really beautiful, It's a great place to stay.

We have stayed at Hotel Sylva several times, but this was the first time with the current owners. We love the upgrades made to the rooms - walk in shower, large vanity area beside the.sink, new furniture and in room Keurig. The property is right downtown with shopping, restaurants and bars all an easy walk away. Friday night they had music in the park across the street which was an added bonus. The check in was contactless so we never interacted with the staff face to face, but they responded quickly when I had a question about the room prior to our arrival.

Recently remodeled, so the room was immaculate. Great large TV, unique darker wall color. I like the key code entry: do t have to carry a card key. Water takes a good 10 minutes to warm up and get hot, so prepare for that. Very safe property, as the police station is across the street

It's not the first time staying there and I was disappointed this time because when it was time to shower (around 10 pm) I found several hairs in the shower, which is very disgusting to me. Also, the light (which was off) in the bathroom began to flicker and was hard to fall asleep, even with the closed door. I eventually fell asleep and when I woke up the light was fine, so I did not say anything about because it was no longer doing it. I really enjoy the area and always stay here, but my expectations were not met this time around. Next time I'll make it a point to inspect the room as soon as I arrive so that I can notify the front desk of any issues.

We loved staying here. Great communication. Easy check-in and out. The location is perfect. Comfy beds. Other small towns could benefit by using your business model. The shower had great water pressure, but the temperature was too hot. It took almost 5 minutes for the water to get hot. Once it was hot, it wouldn't go back to warm or cool. We were told that happens because it is an old building with old pipes. We love staying in old places that have been brought back to life. Old buildings and old pipes have never been an issue.

Really liked this hotel the first time i stayed, but not as much the second time. First room they tried to put me in was tiny and overlooked a stairwell and garbage. I kepy trying to check into the wrong room the second room they put me in so it took a fee tries. HVAC was really loud. Frig smelled. I would have stayed another night, but wasn't feeling it.

We loved our stay in Hotel Sylva. It's in a great location. You can walk to several restaurants. It's also a clean hotel with comfortable beds. The only downside is that it's downtown and you get some vehicle noise.

Nothing particularly bad about the room itself. Hotel was maybe 30% full. Ended up in the half with two floors. The hotel put someone above us and they were stomping around until 1am every night. No noise insulation between rooms on the first and second levels. Very annoying and loud! There was also a lot of road noise as the hotel is very close to the roads.

The room was a little cramp but otherwise comfortable. Needed a bigger refrigerator and getting the hot water in the shower faster would have been great. I am just used to having hot water in seconds rather than minutes. The little round table was in the way more than anything else.

Exactly as pictured! I would recommend requesting a room on the Main Street side. We were on the opposite side and the road noise was too much even with our sound machine.

One of our party left something behind in a room. As soon as housekeeping staff found it they notified front desk, who notified us!! Then they kept it safe until we were able to retrieve it. It was very sentimental and we are absolutely thrilled that they went to so much trouble to get it back!

What a little gem in Sylva. Had the perfect onite stay there and enjoyed walking to dinner and to the cute shops in town. Great communication re: checkin via text and very helpful and accommodating receptionist in the office. Will be back!

My only complaint was the shower water pressure which I feel is pretty typical for hotels. The room was gorgeous, beds and pillows were super comfy. They had a lock box for me to pick up my key since after hours and it didn’t work, I contacted the after hours and within 10 minutes I was in my room. I will definitely be staying again if I’m in need of a room in the area.

Really nice hotel that seems to have been recently renovated. We love the NC mountain towns and this was our first time spending a few days in Sylva. It’s right downtown so you can easily walk to the stores. Only issue we had was the downstairs neighbor was a bit sketchy. Cars and people showing up at all times of the day and night, going in and out of the room. Hotel staff addressed it quickly and professionally which we appreciated.

The staff was excellent. Everyone was friendly and helpful. The room was very clean and comfortable. Very walkable location. Sylva is a wonderful town, much to explore, restaurants and breweries and local shops.

We loved our stay in Hotel Sylva. It's in a great location. You can walk to several restaurants. It's also a clean hotel with comfortable beds. The only downside is that it's downtown and you get some vehicle noise.

We have stayed at Hotel Sylva several times, but this was the first time with the current owners. We love the upgrades made to the rooms - walk in shower, large vanity area beside the.sink, new furniture and in room Keurig. The property is right downtown with shopping, restaurants and bars all an easy walk away. Friday night they had music in the park across the street which was an added bonus. The check in was contactless so we never interacted with the staff face to face, but they responded quickly when I had a question about the room prior to our arrival.

What a little gem in Sylva. Had the perfect onite stay there and enjoyed walking to dinner and to the cute shops in town. Great communication re: checkin via text and very helpful and accommodating receptionist in the office. Will be back!

They were extremely accommodating for my request for a ground floor with parking right in front of my room. In the lobby was all kinds of extra items like Keurig creamer, sugar towels, etc., that you could come and get extra if needed they were extremely attentive. Rooms were very clean and updated. Lots of food options as well as 3 great breweries in walking distance. There is many hiking options close by!

The staff was excellent. Everyone was friendly and helpful. The room was very clean and comfortable. Very walkable location. Sylva is a wonderful town, much to explore, restaurants and breweries and local shops.

We were stopping over in Sylva to split up a drive home to the Raleigh area from Atlanta. We were only there one night, but Hotel Sylva was great. It's an older hotel that has been fully renovated. Great location, we were able to walk to a brewery (Innovation) that had an excellent food truck on-site. The next morning we walked to breakfast. Very pleased with the accommodations, the staff, and the location.
