Wibderful hotel, very nice rooms and clean and hace wibderful little resturant diwn stairs. Staff were all so friendly and helps us with sights and places to dine while in lisbon. Location very good and center of downtown. Lots of shopping and places to eat by hotel. 5 stars

Hotel was in a very convient location & room was big enough and comfortable however could have done with a few more hooks to hang up bags and coats, also pillows werent the most comfortable. Lift is tiny so dont being a huge case. But staff were friendly and helpful and breakfast was good l. Would recommend for a stay in lisbon.

The hotel is easy to access, there’s no parking so it’s best to get there by taxi or Uber. The staff is really friendly and the check-in is easy. There’s a small elevator, but the rooms are a good size for Europe, clean and all the essentials we enjoyed staying at this hotel. We had a balcony over a busy street which was fun when the window was closed. It was very quiet room and comfortable bed. Centrally located in the downtown touristy section everything was walkable.

With a restaurant and bar on property as well as phenomenal access to shopping right across the street as well as major avenues full of outdoor cafes and shops, this was a perfect choice for our visit. The staff was warm and welcoming with nice little touches such as welcome treats in the room, provided water and fruit infused water in the lobby. Would definitely stay again.

Staff great hotel nice and clean , parking a pain but they do have concierge parking for 35€ a night. Overal good experience

I'm glad that Expedia sent me an email to consider Hotel Moon and Sun Lisboa. It was a newly renovated, lovely, quiet, zen place. Contrary to the Expedia listing, the room had a KING sized bed. The walkability to Lisbon sites is excellent. The room is quiet and private. The shower is nice (rain shower head and a wand sprayer). Staff was excellent. We even enjoyed the affordable bar-restaurant on property. Would absolutely stay again and also recommend.

Great location, comfortable room, staff very helpful. The only down points were small breakfast room and small lift. Would stay here again.

The property is in heart of Lisbon. Staffs were polit, respectful and professional. Walking distance to everything. Valet Parking service was good.

Wow, what great stay! The hotel very comfortable, clean and in a perfect location. Despite being in the center of a tourist area the windows were sound-proof so we couldn't hear any street noise. The black-out curtains made it easy to sleep in after a late night. Would absolutely stay here again.

Overall good, but we've experienced a couple of issues that I've never found in a 4 star hotel before. The room was very dusty upon check in, the coffee and water were not refilled on a couple of occasions and the housekeeping done at 5 pm, I understand is the hotel rule but I've never been in a hotel that has housekeeping done so late, especially because the room was left very early in the morning and being unable to use the room after the whole morning and afternoon out has been a bit of inconvenience for us. The breakfast is ok, although on two occasions our order from the kitchen was forgotten and we've had to ask twice to have the omelette and the coffees. As said, it's not bad at all, but service needs improvement. Location though is very convenient as it is very central.

O isolamento acústico do quarto era bem ruim. Nosso quarto era para a parte interna do hotel e no final da noite e logo cedo éramos acordados pelo barulho de pessoas colocando lixo em latas, mexendo em garrafas … No Banheiro sentíamos um mau cheiro, vindo do ralo. Foi resolvido, mas na véspera do check out, voltamos a sentir .O café da manhã também poderia ter mais variedade .

Ok opphold. Ja, det er sentralt. Det innebærer mye støy, og korte avstander. Det er også mye støy fra de andre rommene, over, under og ved siden av. Vasking av rom er inkonsekvent, og det virket helt tilfeldig hva som ble byttet av såpe, håndklær, kaffe, kopper, glass og vann. Det trekker mye ned, når du har lytt på noe av det ovennevnte etter en dag ute.

Rooms were exceedingly small and almost no area for clothing storage. There were no drawers and we basically had to live out of our suitcases. Room was clean, staff was friendly, hotel was quiet and you couldn't ask for a better location. All that being said, we'd probably investigate a new hotel if we return to Lisbon.

The cleanliness, friendly staff and excellent location are why you should stay here. I also had a street facing room with a balcony and the room was perfectly quiet. I would absolutely stay here again. (fyi - the rooms are quite small and there's no desk area, so potentially not great for business travel if you need to work from the room)

Prima hotel op een leuke centrale drukke locatie. We hadden een fijn bed en badkamer. Wel hoorde we 's-nachts wat gebonk waardoor we soms wakker werden. Het personeel is aardig en hulpvaardig. We raden dit hotel dan ook aan.

Wir hatten 4 x ÜF gebucht. Im Hotel war alles sehr gut. Unser Balkon-Zimmer 102 bot eine gute Aussicht. Die absolut zentrale Lage ist ideal um Lissabon zu erleben.

This hotel was incredibly disappointing. I think the hotel’s popularity online has negatively impacted the quality. The staff (evening) lacked hospitality experience or just don’t care. I’m not sure which is worse. 1. The first night it was clear our a/c was broken. Because we were on a higher floor, the room was hot (26 degrees celsius). The window provided no airflow, and if left open, caused bright light to shine in your room so you wouldn’t have slept anyways. We alerted staff and they did nothing except argue and refusing threaten a worse room as an alternative. They also don’t allow you to control the air and put it lower than 20 so even if it would’ve worked, it wouldn’t have been to our preference. 2. The staff’s attitude was really horrible considering the cost of the hotel and alleged quality. Rather than a piece of cake upon entering, it would have been preferable to actually have received quality service. 3. There was a horrible odor of BO throughout the lobby and hallways. It was so bad we had to avoid taking the elevator and change our clothes bc it was pervasive. Bottom line, there are a lot of wonderful places to stay in the area that are better quality, have friendlier staff, and are a better value. Moon Sun needs to get over itself and remember the business they are in.

O Hotel e muito bem decorado a equipe e muito simpática e acolhedora. A localização e um ponto alto deste hotel, muito próximo a R: Augusta e a Praça do Comercio. Da para fazer tudo a pé, e tem opções de lojas e restaurantes muito perto. A única ressalva que temos e que as paredes tem uma acústica muito ruim e do meu quarto escutava o banheiro do quarto do lado como se estivesse no nosso quarto.

WARNING!! Unsafe for FEMALES. On July 3, 2025, at 3:20 am, a male employee broke into our hotel room and stood inside in the middle of night. We were so frightened that he was a rapist. After a month of emails, the hotel manager, Iris Godoy did NOTHING. They don’t care about the safety of their guests, and mock women for rightfully feeling violated by their EMPLOYEES. The hotel manager and supervisor didn’t answer to Expedia either and needs to be removed from their website. Attached is a screenshot of another female guest’s review of the same distributing break in by a male employee in the middle of the night during her 2023 stay.

The staff was unbelievable. We needed lots of water and it was always available. They kept me safe when we got food delivery at 3 AM. Easy to deal with when we needed extra items. Convenient walk to all things. No problem w/ getting Bolts/Ubers. We had a wonderful balcony w/ access from the bathroom and the sleeping area. AC was wonderful in the room and having a lift made things easier. Thank you for the amazing stay!

I like the place actually and the amenities are appreciated. The umbrella came in handy because it rained the first two days that I was there. The hotel is also in the heart of the downtown area so you’re very close to the metro, the tram, the buses, the main attractions and the stores. There is this weird policy late at night when the lone receptionist locks the doors to the hotel for ten minutes to go walk around all the stories of the hotel to check for problems (mind you this hotel has security cameras) and they don’t inform you of this so I had some trouble checking out because I got trapped in the hotel and missed my Uber. I wish that random policy was explained beforehand so I could’ve planned accordingly. They say they do it for our own safety but (1) there was no signage in the front desk that shares what’s going on, no sign that says the receptionist is making his rounds and (2) locking all exits is a safety hazard of its own.

We stayed a single night as we were transiting via Lisbon. Location, amenities, food, drinks etc were all excellent. What really stood out to us was the service- Fransisco, Joao and Georgina went above and beyond to ensure we enjoyed our stay. We will be back to explore Lisbon and hope to stay here again.

The main reason for this place is your cancellation policy 3 days . I had to come home back for an emergency for family and I miss the cancellation by one day , when we decided to shorten our stay by one day to come back home The management did not want to even offer anything . We stayed one night and the other one paid in full and no refund . I am pretty sure other hotels would off acknowledged the cancellation fee and gave us at least half of the night fee . Management did not want to acknowledge anything . Also one more thing I asked to be on the main level because of I do not take any elevators asking back in July and they couldn’t accommodate that either but put the remaining people on our group on level 1 while they hadn’t requested to be lower level .

Staff were exceptional, especially front desk. I rate them very highly. Check in (& out) was so friendly, professional and helpful. Nothing too much trouble. Hotel in excellent location, central to everything. Room with small balcony as seen in photos with view. I was located on 4th floor & unfortunately lift was not working on this floor so either had to go to 5th & walk downstairs or 3rd floor and walk up. However, staff delivered my luggage for me. Breakfast included was excellent. Freshly cooked hot breakfast of your choice if you wanted. Overall Moon & Sun Lisboa a great place to stay.

SERIOUS SAFETY CONCERNS - Hotel Moon & Sun, Portugal DO NOT STAY HERE Date of Incident: July 3, 2025 I am compelled to share this experience as a warning to other travelers, particularly solo female guests. What happened to me at Hotel Moon & Sun represents a fundamental failure of basic hotel security protocols that put guests in genuine danger. The incident: At 3:30 AM on July 3rd, while sleeping in my hotel room, I was awakened by the sound of someone attempting to enter my room using a key. I reached the door just in time to prevent it from opening fully. When I called out "who is there," the response was merely "I'm sorry, wrong room" with no explanation or follow-up from management that night. Critical Security Failures: This hotel has no peepholes in room doors and no interior safety locks that guests can engage - meaning once someone has a key to your room, you have no way to secure yourself inside. Despite having a "Do Not Disturb" sign posted, staff entered anyway in the middle of the night. Most Disturbing: THIS HAS HAPPENED BEFORE During my research after this incident, I discovered that an identical situation occurred to another female guest in September 2023. The fact that this exact scenario has repeated itself raises serious questions about the hotel's commitment to guest safety and whether these are truly "accidents." Management Inadequate Response The hotel's explanation was that their system had "rolled over" at midnight. This is unacceptable.

We were very impressed with this property. The staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms were spacious and clean. It is located in the heart of Baixa district within easy walking distance to train and metro stations. Shopping and dining choices were numerous around the property. Breakfast was plentiful and fresh. We will definitely come back to stay when in Lisbon. We are excited to see their other properties!

Great location

Adorable little hotel in a great location. Walkable to many locations in downtown Chiado/Baxia like Pink Street, Time Out Market and Rossio Square to name a few. Balcony room view was gorgeous. Room was a bit small, but it didn't bother us. Valet parking helped us significantly during our stay as many other hotels don't offer parking accommodations. This hotel does. Joao was the kindest staff member we encounter and helped us many times throughout our stay. Complimentary breakfast had a large variety of food and was excellent. Would definitely stay here again. Although, I think it might be important to mention for others that it can get a bit noisy in the mornings. This hotel is situated on a busy street. The morning traffic sounds didn't bother us, but for those who are more sensitive sleepers it might be a problem. Not sure if this is because we had a balcony room facing the very busy street or not? Overall excellent hotel. Would definitely come back and stay again.

Located in an excellent part of Lisbon. The included breakfast was great and the staff helpful. The rooms are small but expected given it is located in the old part of town. Rooms are clean and well present and the bed is comfortable. I would definitley recommend.

De fato uma hospedagem que valeu muito a pena, excelente hotel, atendimento, localização privilegiada e limpeza. A única observação, foi o fato d eu nao saber que minha reserva nao tinha café da manhã incluído, e acabei tomando no 1º dia, para depois perguntar valor. Se for incluído o café na sua reserva, ele eh muito bom, mas se for para pagar no momento, nao faca isso, o valor eh absurdo. Tome nas cafeterias que tem ao redor que tambem sao muito boas e que pagara menos a metade do valor.

Perfect location great staff superb breakfast

Excellent location. Quiet and comfortable room. Great breakfast buffet with eggs cooked to order and cappuccinos. Also loved the chocolate cake they delivered to us on arrival! The staff are the absolute best. Helpful with transportation questions, directions, booking tours, and anytime we needed something for our room. Really cannot say enough about how much we enjoyed our stay.
