Das Familienzimmer ist sehr geräumig und sauber. Allerdings sieht man auch schon, dass die Einrichtung im Zimmer in die Jahre gekommen ist. Leider ist der Pool für die Hotelgröße etwas klein und auch für den Anspruch des Hotels. Frühstück ist sehr reichhaltig und empfehlenswert. Leider gibt es keine festen Körnerbrote oder Brötchen. Man allg. wohl an Holland zu liegen 😃

It was a great weekend with family, but the rooms and corridors needs a renovation. And the swimming pool could be bigger. It was nice, but for a hotel that has family weekenders as one of the main target groups, a larger swimming area is needed. 3 families there and it looks overcrowded

Very good facility. Suprised with the quality and excellent service. Full size gym in the basement of the hotel is available. Hotel is not new, same as the gym, but well maintained and clean. From the negative observation - on the -2 level or -1 where the pool should be located, there is ongoing construction and facility is not available and was not presented at the checkin and on the offer website. Beside that I highly recommend this hotel. I will come back. Thank you

Das Hotel befindet sich aktuell in einer Renovierung. Der Eingang, das Restaurant und die Bar sind sehr ansprechend und schön gestartet. Die Zimmer hingegen sollten dringend renoviert werden. Lampenschirme und Vorhänge sind schmutzig und auf dem Teppich fühlt man sich nicht wohl. Das Fitnessstudio befindet sich auf einem Teil der Tiefgaragenebene und ist nicht wirklich gut nutzbar. Das Personal ist äußerst freundlich und zuvorkommend. Wir freuen uns auf unseren nächsten Besuch, nach Abschluss der Renovierung.

Für einen Kurztrip sehr zu empfehlen! Das Hotel ist modernisiert worden und bietet mit Pool und einem Spielzimmer auch etwas für die Kinder.

Das Hotel bietet guten Service, großzügige Zimmer und macht einen eher gehobenen Eindruck. Unser Zimmer war groß, mit Terrasse und zwei TV-Geräten. Die Toilette befand sich getrennt vom Badezimmer, was grundsätzlich gut ist, allerdings fehlt bei der Toilette ein Waschbecken, so dass man nach der Nutzung erstmal ins Bad laufen muss, um sich die Hände zu waschen. Das Zimmer war aber sauber und die Einrichtung nicht neu, aber in Ordnung. Das Frühstücksbuffet war wirklich toll, mit vielen ausgefallenen Features wie frischen Pancakes, Waffeln und frisch gepresstem O-Saft. Es war zwar immer ziemlich voll im Frühstücksraum, aber insgesamt war ohne Probleme ein Platz zu bekommen. Zwei Minuspunkte sind zu nennen: Parkgebühren: 24,50€ pro Nacht sind üppig und wie bei vielen Hotels inzwischen ein beliebter Weg, den Kostenwettbewerb bei den Übernachtungen auszugleichen. Trotzdem ein Ärgernis. Sauna / Schwimmbad: Sauna und Schwimmbad sind klein und für ein Hotel dieser Größe absolut unterdimensioniert. Zudem besteht in der Sauna, vermutlich aufgrund der räumlichen Nähe zum ebenfalls kleinen Schwimmbad, Textilpflicht! Das heißt, man sitzt in Badehose bzw. Badeanzug in der Sauna! Damit kann man sich als passionierter Saunist nicht anfreunden. Zudem: 7,50€ pro Bademantel/Schlappen! Ekelhaft: Gäste sitzen ohne Handtuch in der Sauna und hinterlassen entsprechende Schwitzflecken auf den Bänken. So verschwitzt springen einige Gäste dann einfach ins Schwimmbecken! Das ist skandalös!

This place was located within a 5 minute walk to the beach with access to many restaurants and shopping. The pool and sauna were great! They provided a nice touch with providing us chocolates and a box for each kid that contained shampoo, conditioner and body lotion! We would definitely stay here again!

We stayed for the flower parade and it the perfect location for it. We enjoyed dinner and breakfast at the hotel as well as swimming and the children’s room. A few things to note: We were travelling with bikes on the roof and were told “no problem we’ll be able to use the underground car park” you can definitely not get in the car park with bikes on the roof. A large gazebo was set up in the car park so we couldn’t use the parking spaces in front of the car park to park up and take the bikes off the roof. Though we found a way around this I wasn’t told I’d then need a room card to open the bike access to the car park! Despite having gone into reception they didn’t tell me to check in first and get the room key. Which lead to a very frustrating 30 mins. On the day of the flower show hotel guests were not allowed in the front of the hotel as there were dignitaries and sponsors (I presume) using the hotel lobby, car park with marquee and a bar that had been set up. When we came back in we wanted some drinks and were sent to the bar which was cordoned off for the dignitaries. It was clear we should not have been there and should have been shown back into the restaurant where we could’ve easily got a drink. It was chaos basically and I feel the staff were not properly trained or briefed on how to manage guests who were mostly freely coming and going from the breakfast area. Staff at dinner were great.

I recently stayed at the Hotel Van der Valk in Noordwijk, with my family, and while the exterior of the hotel looks quite appealing, the inside tells a different story. The rooms are noticeably outdated, with carpets that appear worn and dirty. To make matters worse, we found a dirty diaper on the small balcony of our room. When we reported this to the reception and asked for someone to clean it up, the staff shockingly replied that they don't handle such things and seemed unfamiliar with the concept of a dirty diaper. We booked a family room, which was supposed to be one of their more spacious options. However, it was disappointingly small compared to family rooms we've experienced at other Van der Valk hotels. On a positive note, the hotel's restaurant was very nice, and the service was commendable, though the prices were quite high. Additionally, be aware that parking comes at a steep 25 EUR per day. Overall, while the hotel has a promising exterior and a great restaurant, the dated rooms, lack of cleanliness, and inadequate customer service were major letdowns. There are better options available in the Van der Valk chain.

Wir sind zum 2. Mal hier gewesen und hatten erneut einen sehr schönen Aufenthalt. Die Nähe zum Strand, zur kleinen Innenstadt und vielen Restaurants ist wirklich klasse - sowohl als Paar als auch als Familie. Auch das Frühstück ist vielseitig und damit für jeden was dabei. Ein Spielzimmer hilft bei schlechtem Wetter und der Wellnessbereich ist ebenfalls sehr schön gemacht. Für uns war der Pool leider nur zu kalt. Einziger Kritikpunkt: die Zimmer sind für den Preis einfach zu sehr in die Jahre gekommen. Wir hatten leider auch ein Problem mit der Sauberkeit der Toilette. Man war zwar bemüht, das Problem zu lösen, aber für ein 4-Sterne-Haus war das aus unserer Sicht nicht ausreichend. Wir kommen trotzdem gerne wieder und hoffen, dass bis dahin etwas in die Zimmer-Renovierung investiert wurde.

Welcoming hotel with friendly staff. We arrived early, from the ferry, at 11:00 and they had a room ready for us. This allowed us to park straight away and explore the area, lots going on as it was King’s Day. Room spacious and clean, I read that the TV is connectable to your device so you can use your own streaming services. Water is hot and plentiful and an Infrared lamp in the shower. A mini bar package can be bought to stock your fridge. Complimentary tea and capsule coffee in the room. We had a late ferry on check out day and it was okay to leave the car all day after we’d checked out. We hired cycles from the hotel on our last day. Brilliant hotel and area, plenty of local food and drinking places within easy walking distance. The beach and a handful of beach clubs with excellent food and ambiance are also within easy walking distance.

This is a nice hotel in a lovely town, just a short stroll to shops, restaurants and a beautiful beach. On arrival we were given our room earlier than advertised which was a great start. We had paid extra to have a balcony in our standard room. Unfortunately that balcony gave a view straight out to a busy Construction site. Reception insisted this was what we booked and that this was as advertised. This is not true. No-one would pay extra for a balcony overlooking a building site but they were unwilling to accept this and were not understanding about why we were disappointed. They said this is advertised on their website but we booked through Expedia. We paid for an additional upgrade and got a lovely room but it was a disappointing start to our stay. This is a nice hotel in a lovely town, just a short stroll to shops, restaurants and a beautiful beach. On arrival we were given our room earlier than advertised which was a great start. We had paid extra to have a balcony in our standard room. Unfortunately that balcony gave a view straight out to a busy Construction site. Reception insisted this was what we booked and that this was as advertised. This is not true. No-one would pay extra for a balcony overlooking a building site but they were unwilling to accept this and were not understanding about why we were disappointed. They said this is advertised on their website but we booked through Expedia. We paid for an additional upgrade and got a lovely room but it was a disappointing start to our stay. Our new room was lovely, clean, bright, modern and spacious. We really enjoyed breakfast at the hotel too. All in all a lovely stay after paying for another upgrade.

Wir sind zum 2. Mal hier gewesen und hatten erneut einen sehr schönen Aufenthalt. Die Nähe zum Strand, zur kleinen Innenstadt und vielen Restaurants ist wirklich klasse - sowohl als Paar als auch als Familie. Auch das Frühstück ist vielseitig und damit für jeden was dabei. Ein Spielzimmer hilft bei schlechtem Wetter und der Wellnessbereich ist ebenfalls sehr schön gemacht. Für uns war der Pool leider nur zu kalt. Einziger Kritikpunkt: die Zimmer sind für den Preis einfach zu sehr in die Jahre gekommen. Wir hatten leider auch ein Problem mit der Sauberkeit der Toilette. Man war zwar bemüht, das Problem zu lösen, aber für ein 4-Sterne-Haus war das aus unserer Sicht nicht ausreichend. Wir kommen trotzdem gerne wieder und hoffen, dass bis dahin etwas in die Zimmer-Renovierung investiert wurde.

After requesting a quiet room in the reservation, I was given a room which had the windows right near a site with major construction works which made a huge noise from 05:30 in the morning (half of the hotel rooms are on that side). So I woke up at 05:30 and could not sleep due to the noise. Don’t go to this hotel in the next year if you want to sleep. Anything else is OK.

Erg ruime familiekamer. Zowel de geluiden binnen als buiten waren niet te horen. In de vakantieperiode zijn er veel families. Mocht u voor uw rust komen, zou ik goed kijken wanneer de kindervakanties zijn.

Das Hotel bietet guten Service, großzügige Zimmer und macht einen eher gehobenen Eindruck. Unser Zimmer war groß, mit Terrasse und zwei TV-Geräten. Die Toilette befand sich getrennt vom Badezimmer, was grundsätzlich gut ist, allerdings fehlt bei der Toilette ein Waschbecken, so dass man nach der Nutzung erstmal ins Bad laufen muss, um sich die Hände zu waschen. Das Zimmer war aber sauber und die Einrichtung nicht neu, aber in Ordnung. Das Frühstücksbuffet war wirklich toll, mit vielen ausgefallenen Features wie frischen Pancakes, Waffeln und frisch gepresstem O-Saft. Es war zwar immer ziemlich voll im Frühstücksraum, aber insgesamt war ohne Probleme ein Platz zu bekommen. Zwei Minuspunkte sind zu nennen: Parkgebühren: 24,50€ pro Nacht sind üppig und wie bei vielen Hotels inzwischen ein beliebter Weg, den Kostenwettbewerb bei den Übernachtungen auszugleichen. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und der Check in lief einwandfrei. Alles war sehr sauber und modern. Zudem gab es viele Restaurants in der Nähe und der Strand war zu Fuß erreichbar. Wir werden auf jeden Fall zurückkommen!

From the moment we arrived until we checked out the staff was wonderful! The front desk staff was the best I’ve ever encountered and were most knowledgeable, helpful accommodating and friendly. The room was lovely, clean and spacious. I can’t say enough good things about this hotel.

Prachtig hotel, zeer vriendelijk personeel, alles op loopafstand en voor een dagje Den Haag/Scheveningen pak je heel makkelijk de bus welke voor het hotel een halte heeft. Wij hebben ontzettend genoten!

Welcoming hotel with friendly staff. We arrived early, from the ferry, at 11:00 and they had a room ready for us. This allowed us to park straight away and explore the area, lots going on as it was King’s Day. Room spacious and clean, I read that the TV is connectable to your device so you can use your own streaming services. Water is hot and plentiful and an Infrared lamp in the shower. A mini bar package can be bought to stock your fridge. Complimentary tea and capsule coffee in the room. We had a late ferry on check out day and it was okay to leave the car all day after we’d checked out. We hired cycles from the hotel on our last day. Brilliant hotel and area, plenty of local food and drinking places within easy walking distance. The beach and a handful of beach clubs with excellent food and ambiance are also within easy walking distance.

Wonderful hotel with classic luxury that doesn’t look like a carbon copy of every Hilton or Radisson Blu out there. The arched doorways, the beautiful wallpaper, are all details that make this place memorable and special. The staff were wonderful and so helpful.

Great staff especially check in. Gave us a nicer room when I mentioned that Expedia did not mention construction view rooms. Easy parking, great location, comfortable rooms and nice spa. Everyone was super helpful. Lots of very good places to eat close by. Recommend Copper for dinner (across from hotel), and Tulum for breakfast (20 minute walk on the beach but worth the effort). Nice shopping street around the corner.

We stayed for the flower parade and it the perfect location for it. We enjoyed dinner and breakfast at the hotel as well as swimming and the children’s room. A few things to note: We were travelling with bikes on the roof and were told “no problem we’ll be able to use the underground car park” you can definitely not get in the car park with bikes on the roof. A large gazebo was set up in the car park so we couldn’t use the parking spaces in front of the car park to park up and take the bikes off the roof. Though we found a way around this I wasn’t told I’d then need a room card to open the bike access to the car park! Despite having gone into reception they didn’t tell me to check in first and get the room key. Which lead to a very frustrating 30 mins. On the day of the flower show hotel guests were not allowed in the front of the hotel as there were dignitaries and sponsors (I presume) using the hotel lobby, car park with marquee and a bar that had been set up. When we came back in we wanted some drinks and were sent to the bar which was cordoned off for the dignitaries. It was clear we should not have been there and should have been shown back into the restaurant where we could’ve easily got a drink. It was chaos basically and I feel the staff were not properly trained or briefed on how to manage guests who were mostly freely coming and going from the breakfast area. Staff at dinner were great.

Brilliant hotel and area, plenty of local food and drinking places within easy walking distance. The beach and a handful of beach clubs with excellent food and ambiance are also within easy walking distance.

This place was located within a 5 minute walk to the beach with access to many restaurants and shopping. The pool and sauna were great! They provided a nice touch with providing us chocolates and a box for each kid that contained shampoo, conditioner and body lotion! We would definitely stay here again!

Es wurden im Vorfeld falsche Bilder zu den Zimmern gezeigt, die uns zur Buchung bewogen haben. Vor Ort könnte man uns kein adäquates Zimmer mehr anbieten, da das Hotel komplett ausgebucht war. Als Entschuldigung wurde uns das Parken für zwei Nächte sowie ein Getränk pro Person gratis angeboten. Weder das Hotel noch Expedia konnte eine angemessene Lösung für uns finden. Wir werden nie wieder über Expedia und auch kein Van der Valk Hotel mehr buchen. Der Frühstücksraum ist so klein, dass die Gäste an der Bar oder in der Lobby frühstücken müssen. Das Essen wird nach zehn Uhr nichtehr nachgefüllt, die Saft-Karaffen kleben und frisches Rührei bzw Omelette bekommen anscheinend auch nur spezielle Gäste, uns würde es auf Nachfrage hin verneint, andere wurden bedient. Der Preis steht in keinem Verhältnis zur Leistung.

Hotel ligt op fijne locatie, op loopafstand van het strand en restaurantjes. Er werd verbouwd, waar we weinig last van hadden. Wat erg vervelend was, was dat na boeking een mail gestuurd werd, waarin stond dat het zwembad na 19u adult-only was. Dit had natuurlijk in de voorwaarden vooraf moeten staan. Voor het zwembad zelf moet je niet boeken, dit is extreem klein. De ontbijtzaal was ‘s ochtends erg vol, we moesten buiten wachten tot andere gasten vertrokken. Verder parkeerkosten aan de hoge kant (24,50€ / nacht). Kamer zelf ruim en schoon, alleen wel erg gedateerd.

Für 350 Euro die Nacht haben wir schon was besonderes erwartet. Waren maßlos enttäuscht das wir für das Frühstück 25,50 Euro pro Person extra zahlen mussten. Mini Bar und Parkplatz ging natürlich auch nochmal extra. Müsste definitiv im Internet besser beschrieben sein. Rezeption ...naja hatte extra Bettdecke bestellt sollte auch aufs Zimmer gebracht werden bis heute nichts...und im Badezimmer hatten wir zwar 2 Waschbecken aber eins war verstopft somit nicht nutzbar alles in allem Preis Leistung sehr unausgeglichen van der Falk ist für uns erst mal tabu falls da von der Hotelleitung nichts mehr passieren sollte

The hotel needs a remodel. The room looked very outdated with a grimy carpet. We booked a one-night stay for New Year's Eve for well over €300, and the hotel restaurant refused to serve us even a simple dinner because they were making more money serving customers who had pre-booked their sold-out New Year's Eve 5-course dinner that we were not interested in. The New Year's breakfast buffet was @ €30 per person, which was way overpriced for a nothing-special standard buffet. For the money we paid, we should be able to expect a better stay! We will not return!
