Leonardo Hotel Amsterdam Rembrandtpark

Amazing staff, accommodation and very clean! Very very pleased with our stay at hotel Leonardo.the rooftop patio is a plus! Would recommend to anyone going to Amsterdam. Although the location is a bit of a walk from the center, we did not mind having to walk and enjoyed seeing more of the out skirts. The park across from the hotel is a bonus as well. 10/10 would recommend

We had an amazing stay here for our 6 year anniversary, thanks to the care taken by the staff. I added the Romance Package to our booking, and we had a late check-in due to fkight issues. They took the time to make sure it was ready before we went to our room, and the view was breathtaking of The city. We loved walking around and through Rembrandtpark on our way to various points of transit. The social atmosphere and beautiful scenery made is feel very welcome and at ease. The local dining iptions were outstanding, in addition to thw luxury of dining at Floor17 a couple of times during our stay. The rooftop offered more amazing views and delicious cocktails as well. We would gladly stay at another Leonardo property after this experience!

The hotel is very nice, the staff are lovely, the bar on the top floor has a good atmosphere, there is a park close by. You need to get a tram to the city centre which is easy to reach and fairly cheap. There are no restaurant or bars close by. The hotel is 20mis from the airport in the hotel shuttle.

Hotels in Amsterdam are expensive, so this one is a good value if you don't mind not being right in the center of the action. There is a tram stop nearby though that can get you to the downtown area in around 10 minutes or so. I recommend purchasing the breakfast since there are not any restaurants nearby. It was also a very nice spread that they offered. The rooms are comfortable and the front desk staff are friendly and helpful. The shuttle to and from the airport is not included, but is very convenient rather than struggling with bags on the bus or tram.

Great hotel, right next to Rembrandt park which me and my partner liked walking through, not far from tram stops so really easy to get into amsterdam city centre, hotel offer airport transfers too and from the hotel which is very convenient, price was quite reasonable around £17 us two. Very nice clean hotel and would definitely stay again

Good location, airport shuttle options, amazing view from the bar restaurant. The staff were very friendly.

From the moment of check in to leaving there was nothing we could fault. The underground car parking was a real bonus, safe, secure and bright and clean. There was the added bonus of a tram line within 100m of the hotel which took us straight to the centre. Breakfast was excellent plus espresso martinis later. Would recommend the hotel.

The hotel by itself was OK, but the shuttle bus service was awful. The driver would not even wait 1 minute.

I chose this hotel because it was close to my friend’s house, it is not in the center. Beginning with a really friendly check in, my stay was excellent. This is not a five star hotel, nor should you expect one for the price, but the value per dollar ratio is super high. Well maintained, super clean and helpful staff. The sauna is huge and was a nice addition considering it was snowing. I was the only one in it, so a large private sauna is also a plus. Lastly, a lot of airplane pilots use the place, which is a testimony to its value.

Great view, great breakfast, fitness room hidden away and good. Great location for outdoor activities and fire 🔥 in the hearth at the bar!

The hotel is really nice and in a good location the pick and drop off is a nice feature . Pre checkin helped alot. They upgraded us which is nice. However the idea that you don't clean unless you get in touch I don't think is great as the towels are thin and small if you don't clean or at least are able to dry them it becomes an issue. I did use the app to request a clean but this didn't happen. Also I managed to contract a stomach bug(gastroenteritis) I'm not sure where from but the cleanliness of the room would have helped.

We stayed for 4 nights. The cleaning at the hotel was terrible. The garbage in the bathroom was not cleaned on the first day. I informed the reception immediately and they said they would help but no one came. I asked for the room to be cleaned for the next day, again it was not cleaned. I told the reception staff about this situation and they said they would help but no one came to clean. I experienced this situation for 3 days. I went down to the reception 3 times and told the staff there. Although they said they would help each time, the room was never cleaned in the hotel where we stayed for 4 nights. It was definitely disappointing. I do not plan to stay at that hotel again

The hotel was in a nice location not far from dam square. The room wasnt very clean which was a shame as the amount of money you pay you think thry could clean better. Some staff look miserable to be there which dosent give off great vibes. But didnt effect our holiday reccomend the park near by

The room had no airconditioning and became very hot during the day and night. Thought transit to airport was included but was extra fee.

had a double queen corner room. was a twin bed pushed together instead of a double which made sleeping awkward but was alright. bed was really comfy but room was not as tidy as it should be, found an peeled oranges down behind the cabinets and bed sheets weren’t entirely clean but oh well didn’t make a difference. check in was okay but staff don’t really communicate. we arrived at 11:30 (aware we were early but we wanted to leave our luggage and explore the city before the check it) staff let us do this obviously but told us to come back “in a couple of hours”. came back af 14:00 but they said it would be another half an hour until it was ready. we waited in the lobby until 14:45 when i went up and asked for an update, the gentleman said no not ready yet so i asked if they could let me know when it was ready and he said sure. waited until 15:30 when i went to the original check in desk and they said they had been “looking around for us for an hour” obviously a lie because we were in the lobby and they clearly didn’t communicate with each other but it is what it is. apart from that, didn’t really have any other issues. bathroom contained hair and body wash (standard) and the usual coffee machine. hotel is located 40 ish mins away from amsterdam central, tram is a couple minutes walk but recommend getting the metro into the centre.

Stay was for 5 nights…Check in didn’t happen until 30 mins after the check in scheduled time. Thankfully they are able to hold your luggage. When i came back they said they were checking the room to make sure it was ready… not sure what kind of quality check they do because i found an empty soda coke zero bottle under the bed …i dont drink that … it was of the previous guest.. also they messaged me offering to clean my room not once but twice to which i agreed and both times no one came.?? Why offer the cleaning service and then not clean the room? Overall it was an ok stay.. they need to stick to their word and not overpromise things if they cant deliver.

Overall experience was ok. The location is good, you can use public transportation easily, and also the hotel is in front of the park. Breakfast is also good, diverse menu choices, the view is great. However, I am not sure about smooth check-in process and hygiene. I arrived at hotel in the early morning and then came back to hotel after check-in time around 5pm (original check in time is 3pm), but then, when I tried to check-in, the front desk person was too rude to me. Even my english is very fluent, she kept saying 'what' to me like 'I cannot understand about what are you saying ' vibe, which was very unpleasant. After that, she told me cleaning wasn't finish yet, even it was 5pm- should I understand this point? Not only that, she said staying at the sofa 5-10 min but never came back. So I asked to other people to re-do my check-in and finally I could enter the room. When I was at the room, the bedding smell is bit weird. bathroom sink wasn't also clean though.

My room was not cleaned properly. After I checked into the room I went to shower I found a false eyelash in one of the towels, toothpaste left in the sink, and coffee splattered all around the wall next to the machine. When I went down to ask for housekeeping or a different room the front desk agent was extremely rude and told me my room was cleaned. The bed was made, but the room was certainly not cleaned.

Lovely hotel, super location, friendly helpful staff. Hotel located across the road from the MRT line. Beautiful park opposite the hotel. The only disappointment was the cleanliness. The room in general was clean, but skirtings and edges of carpet, especially on the right hand side of the room were very dusty, lower walls had smudges/finger marks on them and the windows had fingerprints and a haze on them. The hallway outside our room hadn't been vaccumed during the 4 days/3 nights we were there as a broken piece of plastic and general debris that was there when we arrived, was still there on checkout. The lockers for suitcase storage are a brilliant idea, however the first 3 we tried didn't lock. The restaurant is fabulous and the dessert (pannacotta) was incredible. Excellent hotel shuttle service. Overall a great stay and would definitely stay again.

Room had clumps of dust on the furnishings as well as the curtains. Had an extremely bad experience at breakfast when the staff couldn’t confirm that I purchased breakfast and was very rude. I had to go down o the front desk myself to sort it out myself. The hotel should give physical vouchers for guests who only want breakfast on some days of their stay.

Our stay was nice The functionality of the shower in our room was not good. Very slippery and water sprays all over the floor The room was very clean and nice. The mattress was very hard and not comfortable

Upon arrival, the air conditioning in our room didn’t work. When we brought it up with the front desk, we were met with resistance and dismissiveness. The night manager, Emmanuel, told us the hotel was fully booked and there were no rooms available — only to suddenly offer us two room options after I became visibly upset. It was nearly 12:30am by the time we were moved. We had been advocating for ourselves for over an hour after a long travel day, with an intense week of work ahead. The stress and late-night disruption made it hard to rest, and my partner (also my drummer) slept poorly, which impacted our performance. On top of this, we had spent a lot: we booked four rooms, paid €10 per person for the shuttle (5 people), and €20 per person for breakfast. The room we were eventually moved to was slightly better, but still warm and smelled of mold. We felt let down — not only by the broken AC, but by the way we were treated. For the price and the brand, we expected more professionalism, care, and basic comfort.

Staff were able to check us in early, and the room was clean, quiet, cool and comfortable - I slept brilliantly! The airport shuttle was easy to arrange and reasonably priced. The tram to the city centre is just a short walk away. There were only two relatively minor downsides: 1) We ordered the 'Cheers for Beers' package at an extra cost, which was described as 'two bottles of IJwit and a nutmix' to be delivered to the room. Instead, we received two bottles of Heineken (no nutmix). 2) It was impossible to contain water within the shower cubicle, which meant a very soggy towel on the floor throughout our stay. Regardless, we enjoyed our stay and would return.

Room was fine however, our TV didn’t work for 3/5 nights and despite telling them on the first night was still not sorted until later I. Our trip Hotel however ideal location and right next to tram to city centre

A nice area that is only a minute away from the tram. The only thing that really let the room down was the lack of air - air conditioning didn’t work, and the room felt incredibly stuffy.

The hotel was in a good location for us, and the front desk staff were great! The room had a wonderful view, however I feel it was lacking in some basic hotel features. There was no mini fridge, the comforter was small and a little tired and it would have been nice to have dedicated shampoo and conditioner. Also, there were no real tv stations, so we couldn’t watch any sports (for tennis fans during the French open this was disappointing).

only bad thing is that the room didn't have any windows that you could open. and no fridge apart from that it was really good!

The staff was so helpful every time we went to the desk with questions….. On our checkout April 14 we had an 8 am shuttle back to the airport… The front desk representative was so helpful putting us on an earlier bus to the airport…. Also gave us a little gift in parting your hotel… so kind and helpful…. Please give him the kudos he deserves…. Thank you so much, we will be back….

Staff were disappointing. Did not change our towels as we requested twice. Did not vacuum the dirt in the hallways for 3 days. Unable to answer any questions about transportation or local activities without consulting ‘Google’. Rooms are fairly small for such a big building- to accomadate our family of 4, we needed 2 rooms (double cost). Breakfast costs twice what it should. & they don’t have any tissue boxes! It is convenient to the tram stop, to go downtown. Would not return due to poor service.

The property and area itself are amazing. The restaurant and rooftop incredible. The main desk is terrible - worst I have ever experienced. There is no option to leave credit card on file for incidentals, cleaning and additional services are requested via QR Code and are answered intermittently. Check in was slow and annoying. I was doubled charged for the room city tax which they are refusing to refund. The explanation from tbe front desk is I must have 2 rooms. Room card was deactivated because they said i owed money, they did not refund my deposit for the bike rental. Computers kept crashing, every interaction was terrible and slow. Feel bad for the staff - the systems they are being asked to use are aweful and designed to fail. One of the best areas and properties in Amsterdam - but the absolute worst guest experience. I cant imagine returning.

Very helpful staff especially one particular receptionist who sorted a minor issue with the room so quickly and without fuss and gave great recommendations for places to visit. Easy transport to get around Fantastic coffee Rooms were lovely and the beds were amazing and comfy

We stayed here unexpectedly due to cancelled flights for 2 nights. The staff is truly what makes this place shine. Rooms are pretty and chic, restaurant on site is convenient, but it’s truly the helpful staff that makes this place awesome. Each and every staff person I had the pleasure of encountering was more than willing to be helpful. We had to have lots of stuff printed as 2 people I was traveling with had lost their passports, and the front desk reception did everything to help us out. Even at 1am in the morning I could run down and ask for assistance. I called ahead to let them know we would be checking in late, and the gentleman said no problem at all! He reassured us so much, and when we arrived he popped his head out from the back to say we had spoken earlier. I work in the travel industry and this hotel’s hospitality was excellent. A true gem. The hotel is 15 min Uber ride to the consulate and Van Gogh museum. Uber is ready and willing to pick up from this hotel. We had a corner room and we appreciated all the views. Also after being in Europe for over 10 days unexpectedly, it was really nice to have American tv lol. The staff is what makes this place I will use this hotel if we go back and I will recommend to all our clients. Thank you to all of you who made our unexpected stay comfortable.

Overall, not bad. But I approached one of the staff and told them I was an international traveller /guest and had traveled for long hours and wanted to know if I could even pay to be able to check in early. I was told that was not possible. The staff member rather gave me the impression he was going to do something about it, called the housekeepers to clean my room immediately so he could allow me to check in. This was a hoax!!! I kept going back to check if the room was indeed ready and after 3 hours I realized he only lied to me. So I gave up after having sat for 4 hours plus and decided to go out to town so that by the time I came in it would be 3 pm at least so I could get the much needed rest. I think sometimes people should put a human face to some situations and that would go a long way. No complimentary water was given, once you check in, the staff couldn’t be bothered. Hotel is quiet but they can do a bit more for their guest.

I love this hotel, nice and clean. In a quiet area. Little bit outside of the central but Trams are 4 min walk very easy to go anywhere in the city. Love the staff very nice and polite.

The property is nice and clean, the staff is so welcoming and friendly, it’s conveniently located near a beautiful park and lots of restaurants and shops, they have bike rentals and the tram is just a short walk away.

It was a comfortable stay that suited us fine but definitely found a couple images on the listing misleading which we were surprised when we arrived - it is definitely not on a canal and is a good hours walk from the town centre. So definitely check the map for that.

The hotel is located adjacent to Rembrant park which was gorgeous. Tram line is a 3 min walk away. Peaceful, quiet. All of the staff I dealt with were very friendly and accomodating. Would definitely stay there again.

Staff downstairs were lovely but in the breakfast area it was understaffed and a couple of them kept promising things but didn’t deliver. There was fried eggs on the first day but on the second and third there wasn’t any. A lot of the mini pancakes were burnt. I often had to ask for cups or bowls etc.. It’s way too expensive considering what you actually get. The pillows were lumpy and uncomfortable. The bed was quite hard too

Every was ok, as an exception, there are not much opcions at the restaurant, maily at breakfast, for persons with allergic to dairy products. I ask to the staff at the restaurant to make a scramble eggs with no dairy and they said an overwhelming "NO". So I have to loocking for others places to have a breakfast.

A solid 3, no more. AVOID the restaurant! Tram right at the corner HUGE plus. Great park right outside the door.

Smart, lively hotel with easy access to Amsterdam city centre. The rooms were clean, well designed and had great views over the local park and the city. Excellent food on the restaurant!

Breakfast buffet is expensive considering there wasn’t much variety.

Sometimes it seemed a bit too far from town, but it was manageable. Tram ride i was easy. We were very disappointed when we could not book in for dinner on our last night there. L17 was booked out and no access for us. It was obvious we were not welcome as the people at the desk made no effort to try and fit us in.
