Abigail House was more expensive than what we usually do but we splurged because it was our 30th anniversary. We have absolutely no regrets. Abigail House is amazing. The only negative is the small parking lot that took more care getting in and out of. Everything else was over the top in excellence...beautiful and amazing accomodations, cleanliness on arrival and throughout, professional attentiveness that was immediate as well as personal and friendly, forward thinking in be prepared to meet needs we didn't know we had, professional chef, made to order three course breakfast, on and on and on. Easily walkable to most of the points in town you probably want while still feeling more isolated and quiet. I'm in awe. If we return to Canada, Abigail House makes me want to make it in Victoria again...in Abigail House. Well done.

What a fabulous property! The adjunct has an elevator, which we were grateful for, with all of our luggage. The room was exquisitely appointed, with a gleaming, spotless up-to-date bathroom with both a walk-in shower and a jetted soaking tub. An individual cooked breakfast is included, as well as light snacks in the afternoon. There is a beautiful library with several sitting areas. It is within easy walking distance to the Inner Harbor for dining, shopping, and tours. Unfortunately, we were only in victor for two days and didn’t really get to enjoy the hotel, but we’ll definitely book again.

This place deserves 10's all the way. Rooms are very nice with everything you need. The free breakfast is excellent with choices on entrees served hot. Staff wait on you at breakfast. Staff is more than willing to help you with any need. The evening soup provided was also very good. The only negitive is access by car is a little difficult.

Beautiful boutique hotel. Complimentary breakfast is the best that I have had everywhere that I have traveled. Not for seniors with mobility issues as there are no elevators to 2nd and 3rd floors.

Lovely place in a quiet neighbourhood, Abigail's felt more like a traditional bed and breakfast than a hotel. Although outside of the downtown, it is a convenient walk to Fort Street, Beacon Hill Park and the inner harbour. Spacious room with Victorian decor - best part- operable windows to let in the fresh air. The breakfast was outstanding! Although there were no coffee supplies in the room, fresh brewed coffee, tea and an espresso machine were available in the lobby 24/7 (which was better!). They also provided a snack each afternoon.

We stayed five nights at Abigail's, and the experience was wonderful. We were in the 'Foxglove' room, booked as a 'Superior' room on Expedia. The room was clean and well-appointed. The staff there are exceptionally friendly and helpful. The included breakfasts were good every day, and the staff were very accommodating about making reasonable changes to the offerings so that, even though there are technically only 3 offerings per day, it was easy to get something we liked. The pastries were particularly good. It's very nice that they offer free parking; it's tight, with small spaces, but a great feature. We did not need the car for exploring downtown area, but wanted to have one for getting out to other areas of Vancouver Island, so that was useful. Location is also good. It is about a 10-15 minute walk to the Empress, which is sort of the center of the wharf area. We'd originally planned to stay right down there in the city center but are glad we didn't because Abigail's felt like a peaceful respite at the end of a day in the bustle of the wharf area: close enough to make walking the city possible, but nice and quiet comparatively. My wife and I love our (now college-aged kids) and loved traveling with them when they were young, but the combination of the 'no-kids' policy with the unique blend of a traditional bed & breakfast with the scale of a bigger hotel really makes Abigail's unique. Probably our favorite hotel ever, in 25 years of marriage/travel.

We stayed for 2 nights, breakfast included, which was excellent. Very convenient to have free level 2 EV charging available and also in room Bluetooth speaker with wireless charging and multiple usb charging ports. Room was very clean and elegant.

We stayed for 3 nights. Amazing place to stay conveniently located - walking distance to very good restaurants and sites! Walking distance to the Empress Hotel. Breakfast was absolutely amazing! Excellent food and very gourmet. The food just kept coming. Rooms were super clean and very well appointed! Would definitely stay here again next time we come to Victoria.

The stay experience was greater than expected. Nice, friendly and polite staff, welcome snack, the room and bath all at amazingly clean level. Quiet street around neighbourhood even though this hotel located at central downtown Victoria area. Walkable distance to some dining options nearby. Morning included breakfast with table service was beyond fabulous which surpassed some similar brunch provided restaurants. Limited parking behind building and narrow same entry/exit driveway. Overall excellent stay experience.

The room was spotless and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was incredible - 3 courses that changed every day and so delicious! It was a 5 star experience with a beautiful presentation. Our room was huge with a fireplace and seating area and a lovely jetted tub for long baths.

We loved our stay at Abigail’s. The room was clean, well appointed, comfortable. There was a delicious fresh baked treat waiting in the room and a lovely bowl of complimentary homemade soup available in the lobby area. The breakfast was excellent. We would highly recommend Abigail’s.

방과 욕실 모두 정말 깨끗하고 아늑했어요 옛날 가정집을 본다면 이런 느낌이지 않을까합니다 입실 시에 간단한 편지와 웰컴 쿠키가 있어 감동받았어요ㅎㅎ!! 준비되어있는 수건도 많아서 편했습니다! 온수도 잘나오고 수압도 좋고 드라이기 세기도 강해서 사용하기에 좋았어요. 근처에 도보로 시내를 둘러볼 수 있어 접근성이 좋아요. 제공되는 슬리퍼는 없어서 준비해가시면 편할거에요. 방 온도 조절은 입구문 옆에 있고 온도 조절이 잘되어 따뜻하게 잘 잤습니다~ 체크인 도와주신 분들, 조식 제공해주신 분들도 정말 친절하셔서 숙박내내 기분이 좋았습니다! 정말 감사해요!

It's a nice looking and clean property. For $250/n the room was very small, with no chair, table, fridge of coffeemaker in it (small sofa only). The only sink is actually next to the bed...... Breakfast was very good with nice seating. Staff was great.

Cute and homey hotel! Staff friendly with a delicious breakfast! We were given bottled water daily and the towels were super soft. Our room was close to the road, so we could hear some traffic. No elevator for our room on the 2nd floor, so we had to carry our bags up 2 flights, due to check in is a level down. Beautiful place to stay and I would stay again!

Superb stay. Beautiful room in the.coach house (C2). Such a comfortable bed, silky soft bedlinen and pillows as soft as marshmallows. Jacuzzi bathtub. Excellent location easy walking distance from downtown. Delicious breakfast and lovely staff. Look forward to a return visit.

Tremendous hotel in every aspect. It’s quaint and far enough out of centre to not hear the noise although close enough to walk. It’s a 5 star review although our room was above the dining area and we could hear their music from 5.30am in the morning.

Das Hotel ist wirklich außergewöhnlich, die Einrichtung so liebevoll und persönlich, wie man es nur sehr selten in Hotels findet. Unser Zimmer war etwas klein, aber für einen Kurzaufenthalt absolut ausreichend. Absolut unschlagbar war das Frühstück. Nur nur die umwerfende Bedienung, sondern auch die Gerichte selbst haben uns den Tag versüßt. Jederzeit wieder!

We had a really fantastic stay at Abigail's. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left, the staff took care of our every need. So much thought has been put into creating a stress-free and relaxing stay for guests. We'll be back!

We’re a couple in our mid-30s visiting from California and we genuinely don’t have a single negative thing to say about our stay at the Abigail Hotel! From the moment we walked into our room, we were greeted with a handwritten birthday card, chocolate-dipped strawberries, and delicious cookies. It was the best way to start our trip and a sign of how attentive the staff would be throughout our stay. Every interaction was positive and the breakfast each morning was fantastic. The location was also perfect. It was close enough to walk to everything we wanted to explore downtown, yet still quiet and relaxing when we returned to the hotel. One moment that really stood out happened on a day we skipped housekeeping. We were in a rush to leave one day, so we left the “Do Not Disturb” sign on the door. When we returned later, we found a basket filled with everything housekeeping would have refreshed with a note encouraging us to take what we needed since we asked them not to do it for us. Beautiful property with friendly staff. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The rooms are very noisy so if you are a difficult sleeper or like to keep your conversations private you will have a very difficult stay here. Elderly people with luggage will also have a difficult time if they are staying on the floors above ground level. some buildings do not have an elevator and there is no bell service to assist with bags.

The facility of room was quite old fashioned and inconvenient and accessibility of parking was difficult, but hospitalities of the staffs could compensate them. Wonderful boutique hotel that is located at the end of a quiet residential street. A nice short walk from the harbour and and sights of Victoria. There were only three rooms on our floor, and our king suite was fresh clean and well appointed. The breakfast on the patio served by the friendly staff was the highlight of our mornings. We stayed five nights at Abigail's, and the experience was wonderful. We were in the 'Foxglove' room, booked as a 'Superior' room on Expedia. The room was clean and well-appointed. The staff there are exceptionally friendly and helpful. The included breakfasts were good every day, and the staff were very accommodating about making reasonable changes to the offerings so that, even though there are technically only 3 offerings per day, it was easy to get something we liked. The pastries were particularly good. It's very nice that they offer free parking; it's tight, with small spaces, but a great feature. We did not need the car for exploring downtown area, but wanted to have one for getting out to other areas of Vancouver Island, so that was useful. Location is also good. It is about a 10-15 minute walk to the Empress, which is sort of the center of the wharf area. We'd originally planned to stay right down there in the city center but are glad we didn't because Abigail's felt like a peaceful respite at the end of a day in the bustle of the wharf area: close enough to make walking the city possible, but nice and quiet comparatively. My wife and I love our (now college-aged kids) and loved traveling with them when they were young, but the combination of the 'no-kids' policy with the unique blend of a traditional bed & breakfast with the scale of a bigger hotel really makes Abigail's unique. Probably our favorite hotel ever, in 25 years of marriage/travel.

Superb stay. Beautiful room in the.coach house (C2). Such a comfortable bed, silky soft bedlinen and pillows as soft as marshmallows. Jacuzzi bathtub. Excellent location easy walking distance from downtown. Delicious breakfast and lovely staff. Look forward to a return visit.

The hotel is magnificent! We loved the room and every amenity is at your disposal. The breakfast is very special you have 3 options. My husband is a Celiac and they went out of their way to make sure he got gluten free muffins. The bed was comfortable and the hotel is within walking distance to neatby restuarants and activities. 5 star!!

I really like my stay at Abigail hotel. The room was very comfortable and the location was great as you can walk everywhere. There are only 2 points that disappointed me. 1) there was a lot of noise starting at 5am but that might just be due to the location of my room. 2) the breakfast. I don’t have a bad word to say about Abigail’s Hotel. From the outside it is so picturesque. And inside is maintained and decorated to the highest standard. The bed was super comfy and the bathroom stunning. My only issue was that we only had one night here as we were travelling. We would like to return to Vancouver island and will be sure to book longer at Abigail’s as the location is also perfect. I would also like to mention how friendly all the staff were. 100% recommend a stay here

We loved our stay. We thought it perfect until our second morning breakfast 24th August. We had a perfect experience with the lovely waitress on 23rd August. We left feeling on top of the world ready to tackle our day's itinerary. Unfortunately on 24th August the waitress got busy and we were forgotten. Left sitting waiting for half an hour for our breakfast when time as a tourist is critical. We wouldn't normally review but we saw her clearing tables at 10am (close to finishing time) without having yet taken our order. We had to ask the clearing waitress if we could order. The clearing waitress ended up taking our order as our waitress was too busy. Not acceptable for such a small kitchen and establishment that prides itself on quality.
