The hotel is nice though there is a $25 CAD charge parking/day, and no spots were available for the duration of our visit. However, the staff were hospitable and helped us sign up for daily parking permits of ~$21CAD/day. Simple, cozy inn. The outside of the inn is very beautiful. Many food options nearby.

The staff was friendly and helpful. There are no elevators so you have to carry everything up and down stairs, the staff will help if you ask. They only have parking for maybe 6 cars and you have to pay to park. Our room was very small, making getting in and out of bed a challenge.

Shower was extremely small, walls were thin and you could hear everything going on in the hall. My room key card didn’t work due to low battery. Street parking was not recommended by the front desk but their lot was full. Worked for staying the night, but wouldn’t spend time here longer than that.

Great place for the money! Parking right in front of the building and the front desk will help you to make sure you do everything according to the city standards in order to park there. Also there is SpotHero around the block but we visited during the winter storm and no one cleaned it up

The hotel provided a basic, clean room. The shower needs upgrading. The Inn has a charm but is a little run down. There is a lot of potential. It was nice to have the lounge with coffee and tea available. The staff is friendly and helpful.

The area seemed okay, there was only parking on the property for 3-4 vehicles and they charge an extra 25$. The carpets on the stairs and hallway are dingy. Our room was small like a bedroom and the attached bathroom was also small and was a little dirty. Everything in the room felt kindve damp wondering if its because the building is old and the Ac unit. We didn't pull the bedding back but the top layer had hairs on it. My friend and I didn't end up staying the night after our concert we decided to leave around midnight. So we basically paid to get ready and change at the hotel. The staff seemed friendly enough

The sheets and towels are covered with black fluff and I found pieces of plastic in the towels. No clue how they're being laundered. There was a bag of towels on the floor I had to step around to get from the check in desk to the stairs. The property is super run down and I'm grossed out by how icky it feels.

Obviously has some new upgrades. We have stayed there before and the bathroom was very nicely done. But, I spilled some water in the bedroom and when I wiped it up, the towel was pretty dirty. This time, didn’t check the floor. The room was nice. The bathroom had a newer toilet and vanity but our shower stall had mould. Staff is very considerate and helpful.

The room felt very neglected and wasn't up to par with the price I paid. The bed was very uncomfortable and the sheets paper thin. They actually made noise when you tried to move around in them. It was very hard to sleep. The shower was also dirty. This wasn't a good stay at all and I would not come back.

Even though the place was neat and tidy, the smell of the detergent used in cleaning was soo strong making it uneasy to be in the room. Also, the 200 dollar security deposit makes no sense btw. Then again, there was no heat making the room very cold to sleep in. Would highly not recommend

This is a good hotel for one or two nights. The rooms are modern and clean, and I would reccomend it for a short stay. The bathrooms are quite new and nice, a big plus. For the price, the only complaint I have is that it's not quiet. First night I stayed there was noise coming from the corridors at 5 am (repetitive door closing, heavy steps), and I think it was actually coming from the staff. Second one, there was an annoying repetitive clicking noise coming from the walls. Also, like many hotels, the bed covers are pretty thick and one piece, so either you're hot or you're cold. Neither of these things are a huge deal, but they make the difference between a really good hotel and a reasonably good one. This hotel (like most) has big price swings, and I think it's only a good value when it's around the lowest end of the range. If you catch it there, it's a good option.

Os funcionários são muito gentis, simpáticos e prestativos. Eu estava em transição de hospedagem devido ao intercâmbio, e ela foram muito atenciosos comigo e prestativos com minhas bagagens que eram várias. Local de fácil acesso, tranquilo e agradável. O chuveiro é espetacular, parece que eu estava na cachoeira aqui da minha cidade, simplesmente maravilhoso o chuveiro. No quarto Tinha cafeteira com café a disposição. Frigobar, secador de cabelo, ferro e tábua de passar roupa, mesa e cadeira de escritório. Roupa de cama e de banho bem limpos e cheirosos. Pode ser barulhento dependendo do dia pois as paredes são de drywall.

The staff at the Inn were super friendly - likely the nicest hotel staff I've ever encountered (Shout out to Ash at reception!) The room was small, but cute and clean. The walls however were paper thin and you could hear everyone going and going at any and all hours of the night. There was construction happening outside our window as well (not the hotels fault) which started around 7am each day - the walls being so thin you could hear conversations from the construction workers. The bed wasn't very comfortable, and it was squeaky anytime anyone moved - but we made it work. The location was fairly good if you don't mind a small jaunt to the subway station, about 15 minutes to either College or Dundas (which is next to the Eaton Centre) Overall, we did have a good stay, the complimentary tea/coffee in the morning was nice. And, the staff were able to store our luggage for the day when we checked out so we didn't have to carry it around with us before we head to the airport. Based on the tin walls and the bed, we would probably look for other accommodations first next time, but the Pembroke Inn wouldn't be a hard no if it came down to it.

The bed was comfortable and very clean. It’s in a walking distant to a lot of things. The room and bathroom were very clean! It’s renovated older building. It’s simple and exactly what you need after a day out in Toronto. The staff were very kind and friendly! You can hear a lot of things because it’s not sound proof, but if you’re tired and sleep well.. it’ll not bother you. Definitely will be back because the price was reasonable. Thank you.

This is my go to Toronto place! Always easy and clean and perfect location for almost everything Toronto! The price is always great and the Inn is very quant and each room is different. I stayed in 240 this trip, I will say there is an emergency exit directly at your window that can be very busy. Not great for sleeping! I would ask for another room! Great shower too in most rooms! Stay here!!!

Good location, close to most of the museums and other sites I wanted to visit. Overall it was clean and decently lit outside. I did notice a small stain in the bottom corner of the fitted sheet on the bed, but other than that it was clean. Mini fridge, air/heat, and tv worked well. The only weird thing was there was no shelf at all in the shower, had to keep my toiletries on the floor by the glass partition. Other than that it was a decent stay. I would stay again.

It was a quaint and a cute room! The bed was soft and the bathroom very clean. I liked the area because its close to downtown. Only complaint I have is, you can hear people very clearly in the hallway and a child was slamming their hotel room often door on friday and Saturday morning. I would stay again though :)

It was my first time staying here as my usual places were full. I was very impressed by how clean it was (I'm pretty picky about that), and the quality towels and bedding. Also really friendly staff. Internet was fast (I was here for work) and it was inexpensive to Uber to meetings downtown. Great deal considering how insanely expensive hotels are getting in Toronto.

Came to Toronto for 2 nights for a concert and jays game. The Pembroke inn was perfect, the staff was very accommodating in terms of letting us check in a little early and helped with parking. Strongly recommend to all!

I had a comfortable stay at Pembroke Inn. Central location in downtown Toronto at a very reasonable price. Fresh brewed coffee every morning with real creme and milk is a bonus. Front desk is friendly and accommodating. I would definitely stay there again!!

The staff were all so friendly and helpful, the room (Deluxe Room) was so clean and had everything I needed, the shower was fantastic, the courtyard was so nice and private thanks to the trees and gate, and it was really quiet in the area and felt safe. There are also so many dining and shopping locations in close walking distance. Highly recommend!

The staff were so accommodating and caring. We felt very welcomed and taken care of our entire stay. The room was clean, modern, and large. Very comfortable! They allowed me to pre-book one of their few parking spots which was very helpful.

Staff ywas great! They were very helpful to us They arranged our tour to Niagara falls. We had a very pleasant stay. Price of the Inn was great. Everything was great!

I was a little leery of the surrounding area. Immediately around the hotel wasn't bad, but walking towards the St. Lawrence Market was a little sketch. However, the hotel itself is very nice. Clean. The staff went above and beyond. We weren't able to book a queen room all 5 nights of our stay in Toronto, so we booked 1 night queen, the other 4 nights double. They moved our bags for us from the queen to the double when the new room was ready. The location was okay. Helped me get my steps in each day. Most of all I liked the staff. So very friendly and I felt safe with them always being at the front desk.

The staff are very friendly and nice and the place is clean and affordable. The surrounding area is not so nice. The is clearly not the fault of the establishment. It seems as if Toronto, like many cities, is dealing with unsheltered individuals with drug problems. I saw a lot of that while driving to the location. They are not on the block, but there is a concentration of that issue about five blocks away.

The rooms are old but updated and very clean. It is a nice old building. The staff were very kind and helpful. The location is walkable to the entire downtown.

Overall a good stay; hard to beat the price in Toronto. At night the area can feel a bit unsafe if walking alone, but the hotel itself is well lit which is nice. Suggest ubering if late at night. Daytime, no problem.

Surpringly good for the price. Staff was accommodating and understanding. Room was small but cozy and spotlessly clean. Laid out well, did not feel cramped. None of the fancy amenities of big-star chains. No breakfast but free coffee or tea for 24 hrs. Excellent if you only need to sleep there. Maybe 46-inch TV with many channels perfectly placed in front of the bed at the right height. There is a vending machine with chips, chocolate bars, bottled water, soda pop, and I forgot what else. Not sure if they have amenities I was not aware of. But my needs were met. Will stay there again.

Stayed here for proximity to a concert venue. The room was small but efficient, clean, and decorated with a simple modern look that was recently updated. In the morning there is coffee and tea in the front lounge. The front desk gentleman were friendly. The neighborhood is near a university, and walking distance to cafes and casual eateries. The street is home to students and regular working people, and there is a transitional housing apartment building that others have mentioned with negativity. However, these residents didn't impact our visit. We've been to enough cities to know that a mix of people can live and exist on a single block in basic peace. Public transport is nearby-a street car stop at the end of the block, and the underground station is about a 15 minute walk away, near Young-Dundas Square/Sankofa Square. Would stay again for a quick trip where a spacious room isn't necessarily a priority.

It;s close to many attractions and downtown, neighborhood can get a bit tricky at night but the hotel is lovely, clean safe. No restaurant, vending machines but lots of great eats nearby. Staff very helpful.

It's quite nice, a bit dated, but still fine. It's well located for walking around the area. The entrance is attractive. There's water and coffee service in the room.

Great location; two blocks from Younge St and public transit is nearby. Courteous and attentive staff. The room was clean and comfortable; had a desk, bar fridge, heat pump and large shower with toiletries. Coffee and tea were free in a small lounge area opposite the front desk, as well as snacks for a small fee. There was no negatives. I will stay again.

Nice hotel, excelente BATHROOM. Best toilet paper of the world. Helpful staff, it has no breakfast but they offer free coffee and te daily. Property around the area is not the best but it is wakable. Regards

Good service, close to downtown, complimentary tea and coffee in the lobby was nice. Staff was welcoming, kind and attentive. The building itself is a bit old so it definitely isn't a glamorous place to stay, but decent for a night or two. The neighbourhood/surrounding area is a bit sketchy, but again, tolerable if you're not staying long. Overall, we had a good stay.

Overpriced. Noisy street. Homeless area. No restaurants, shops, amenities. Only coffee or tea in am. Why can’t they have yogurt, muffins , fruit, breakfast bars available? Espywhen there’s lousy coffee places only in lousy neighborhood?
