Staff great, position looks downtrodden but seemed reasonably safe, rooms clean but carpet disgusting with marks and stains. Poorly maintained. Near underground so great for transport. Noisy room at back of building…people in courtyard from surrounding were noisy - late every night. No aircon or fridge.

When booking the room picture I received looked luxurious, but what I got was 2 single beds, a shower room in need of updating. Rusty radiator, loose on wall, rust on the enamel shower tray, toilet bowl was very very close to radiator and wall opposite. Not great for tall or larger guests! The only good points were the guy on reception did his best to get my a fan, no air con, room was stifling hot. He also changed my first room as the basin plug was jammed in! 2nd good point, breakfast room a d breakfast was great.

To begin with, this hotel is advertised as a smoke free hotel. The room we received smelled like and old person had been smoking in the room for about 40 years. The receptionist was very arrogant and didn’t even want to help. I never leave a bad review since I have been in the customer service industry myself and know it’s stressful. However the behaviour from the employer was shameful.
